Everyone is living for some kind of kingdom. Some try religion and bargaining with God, hoping that if they do their part, He will do His. Others walk away and live for themselves. Jesus offers something different: not a deal, but full surrender and grace, a gift that leads to freedom. In this message on Mark 12, Lead Pastor Aaron Brockett teaches us to lay down our own kingdom and receive God's. Aaron Brockett • The Urgent Kingdom • Mark 12:13-34 CONNECT WITH US! In Mark 10, a wealthy young ruler comes to Jesus asking what he must do to inherit eternal life, but his question misses the point before he even finishes asking it. In Mark 10, when the Pharisees try to trap Jesus with a loaded question about divorce, He refuses to pick a side and instead points back to God's original design for marriage. In this message, Lead Pastor Aaron Brockett teaches on how despite any brokenness a person carries into or out of a marriage, God specializes in bringing beauty from ashes. What do you want more, a position of importance or the presence of Jesus? In Mark 9:30-50, Jesus is on His way to the cross while His disciples argue about who among them is the greatest. Instead of scolding their ambition, He redirects it, teaching them that true greatness is found not in rank or recognition but in serving without expectation, staying humble, dealing seriously with sin, and living distinctly in a way that brings peace rather than division. God cares about our circumstances, but He is more concerned with the formation of our souls. Aaron Brockett • The Urgent Kingdom • Mark 9:30-50 CONNECT WITH US! In Mark 9, we see two stories: Jesus’ glory revealed to Peter, James, and John, and a desperate father pleading for his son. Two scenes, one truth: because of who Jesus is, every challenge in our lives bows to Him. In this message, Executive Ministries Pastor Chad Lunsford teaches how there is no challenge in our lives that is a match for God's glory. Chad Lunsford • The Urgent Kingdom • Mark 9 CONNECT WITH US! Sometimes our view of Jesus is a little blurry. Mark 8 shows us that spiritual clarity often comes gradually as we learn to trust Jesus, wait on God, and surrender our own way. In this message, Pastor Ryan Bramlett preaches on how Jesus did not come simply to show us how to save ourselves. He came to save us, and He invites us to follow Him by giving up our own way, taking up our cross, and trusting Him by faith. In this message, Carmel Campus Pastor Bart Shaw addresses this question: “Are you seeking Jesus, or just seeking what He can do for you?” He has already done enough. The real question is whether you'll trust Him or keep demanding proof. Bart Shaw • The Urgent Kingdom • Mark 8:1-13 CONNECT WITH US! We know rest is essential, and as Christians, we long for the lasting soul rest only God can give. Yet we often chase peace through performance, rules, or appearances. In this message, Guest Speaker Carl Kuhl shows that true rest isn't found in human effort but in surrendering to the overwhelming grace of Jesus Christ. Fear is something we all experience, but it doesn't have to define us. Every covenant promise has a covenant premise. Before Abraham experienced God's promises, he had to trust God's process. In this message, Guest Speaker Terrence Mullings preaches on how the pathway to the promise is not a place, a plan, or a possession. Ultimately, the pathway to the promise is Jesus.
