God's Hiding Place
2026/10/22
Before God used Elijah to confront a nation, He led him to a hiding place. In this powerful message, Dr. Michael Youssef teaches from 1 Kings 17, showing how God prepares His servants through obedience, faith, and complete dependence on Him. Elijah was an ordinary man called to an extraordinary mission. He stood against King Ahab's wickedness and Israel's worship of Baal, boldly proclaiming God's Truth. But before his next assignment, God sent him to the Brook Cherith—where the Lord would provide for him, protect him, and strengthen his faith. Dr. Youssef reminds us that God's hiding places are not wasted seasons. They are opportunities to grow in trust, surrender, and obedience. This episode calls you to: Trust God during seasons of waiting and uncertainty,Recognize His provision and protection,Repent of hidden idols and spiritual compromise,Obey God's calling without fear,Grow in prayer and dependence on Christ,Prepare for the work God has called you to do.Are you in a season of waiting? Lessons in Thanksgiving
2026/10/21
God answers prayers every day—but how often do we stop to thank Him? In this powerful message from Luke 17, Dr. Michael Youssef explores the story of the ten lepers and reveals why thanksgiving is essential to genuine faith. All ten men cried out to Jesus for mercy. All ten were healed. Yet only one returned to worship Him. Dr. Youssef explains that the grateful Samaritan received something greater than physical healing: the gift of salvation. Gratitude is more than a feeling. It is an act of faith and obedience that honors God, strengthens our relationship with Him, and opens our hearts to His blessings. This episode challenges you to: Recognize God's blessings in your daily life,Replace complaining with thanksgiving,Return to God with praise, not just requests,Develop a habit of gratitude and worship,Thank Jesus for His mercy and saving grace. Are you like the nine who walked away—or the one who returned? Faith Fosters Forgiveness
2026/10/20
Forgiveness isn't always easy—but Jesus commands it. In this powerful message, Dr. Michael Youssef teaches from Luke 17, where Christ warns against spiritual stumbling blocks and calls believers to confront sin with humility and forgive those who repent. When Jesus commanded His disciples to forgive repeatedly, they responded, "Increase our faith." Why? Because true forgiveness requires more than human strength. It takes faith rooted in God's Word, prayer, and complete dependence on Jesus Christ. Dr. Youssef reminds us that faith fosters forgiveness. When we trust God's power instead of our own, we can release bitterness, reject self-righteousness, and extend the mercy we have received. This episode calls you to: Recognize spiritual traps and false teaching,Confront sin with humility and Biblical Truth,Forgive others without keeping score,Ask God to increase your faith,Overcome bitterness through prayer and surrender,Show Christ's mercy while awaiting His return.Forgiveness begins with faith. When Christ strengthens our hearts, we can forgive what once seemed impossible. Scripture Focus: Luke 17:1–10 If today’s teaching stirred a question, burden, or need for prayer, you don’t have to walk through it alone. 🙏 Pastoral Care & Prayer Teams Our trained prayer partners and pastoral care team are available to pray with you and offer Biblical support. https://ltw.org/care 💬 Receive personal answers to your faith questions—anytime, day or night—at: https://myfaithassistant.com If you’ve been blessed by this podcast, please consider a tax-deductible donation to help extend this ministry—so another person can be encouraged, prayed for, and pointed to Christ. ❤️ Support Leading The Way: https://www.ltw.org/donate
The Rich Man and Lazarus
2026/10/19
Pride kills praise. In this powerful message from Empowered by Praise, Dr. Michael Youssef warns that pride is not a small weakness—it is a spiritual danger that robs believers of joy, blessing, and fruitfulness. Drawing from the inerrant Word of God, Dr. Youssef contrasts King David and Michal. David praised the Lord with all his might, laying aside status and self-image to honor God alone. Michal looked on with contempt, and her pride left her spiritually barren. This episode calls believers to: Repent of pride and self-centered worship,Praise God with humility and surrender,Reject criticism that quenches spiritual joy,Restore power in prayer and intercession,Live as faithful witnesses to the Gospel.True praise is not performance—it is sacrifice. When believers humble themselves before the Lord Jesus Christ, praise becomes the antidote to pride and the pathway to renewed spiritual power. Scripture Focus: Luke 16:19-31 If today’s teaching stirred a question, burden, or need for prayer, you don’t have to walk through it alone.
The Shrewd Businessman
2026/10/16
Worldly wisdom plans for today. Eternal wisdom prepares for forever. Teaching from Luke 16, Dr. Michael Youssef explains that Jesus is not praising dishonesty in the parable of the shrewd manager. Instead, He exposes the foolishness of carefully planning for earthly security while giving little thought to eternity. If an unbelieving manager could act decisively for his temporary future, how much more should followers of Christ invest what God has entrusted to them for eternal purposes? This episode calls believers to: Examine where their priorities truly lie,Repent of complacency and materialism,Steward their time, talent, and treasure faithfully,Invest generously in Gospel work,Act on Biblical conviction rather than delay,Intercede and labor for souls while time remains.Earthly wealth will pass away. But what is surrendered to God and used for the advance of the Gospel carries eternal significance. True wisdom does not merely admire conviction—it acts on it. Scripture Focus: Luke 16:1-15 If today’s teaching stirred a question, burden, or need for prayer, you don’t have to walk through it alone.
The Older Son
2026/10/15
You can be outwardly religious and still be inwardly rebellious. Teaching from Luke 15, Dr. Youssef turns to the older son in Jesus’ parable—a man who appeared faithful, yet whose heart was cold, resentful, and unwilling to celebrate grace. His problem was not open rebellion, but self-righteousness. Jesus reveals that prideful religion can be just as deadly as obvious sin because it resists mercy, rejects grace, and prevents genuine repentance. The older son wanted reward without relationship and obedience without the Father’s heart. Yet the Father goes out to plead with him, just as He welcomed the younger son home. This picture points to the costly mercy of God and the saving work of Jesus Christ for Jew and Gentile alike. This episode calls listeners to: Repent of legalism and self-righteousness,Examine whether outward obedience reflects a surrendered heart,Forgive others as God has shown mercy to us,Reject pride that resists grace,Cling to the inerrant Word of God,Intercede compassionately for sinners who need Christ.Grace humbles the proud and restores the repentant. The question is not simply whether we are near the Father’s house, but whether our hearts are truly near the Father. Scripture Focus: Luke 15:25-32 If today’s teaching stirred a question, burden, or need for prayer, you don’t have to walk through it alone.
The Younger Son
2026/10/14
In this piercing message from Enduring Wisdom, Dr. Michael Youssef traces the younger son’s descent from pride and self-rule into shame, loss, and spiritual poverty. From Luke 15, Jesus exposes the emptiness of sin and reveals the only way home: humble repentance and surrender to the Father. Episode Description:Sin promises freedom, but its path leads to bondage and emptiness. Teaching from Luke 15, Dr. Michael Youssef examines the younger son’s rebellion and shows how pride, self-rule, and the pursuit of pleasure ultimately leave the sinner spiritually bankrupt. Sin may satisfy for a moment, but its consequences reach far deeper. True repentance begins when excuses end. The younger son comes to recognize his sin for what it is—an offense against a holy God—and humbly turns back to his father. This episode calls listeners to: Recognize the destructive path of rebellion,Reject the lie that sin truly satisfies,Repent without excuses or self-justification,Surrender completely to the Father,Trust God’s restoring grace,Intercede urgently for those wandering far from Him.No sinner is restored through pride or self-effort. The road home begins with repentance, and the inerrant Word of God faithfully points wandering hearts toward the grace of the Father. Scripture Focus: Luke 15:11-32 If today’s teaching stirred a question, burden, or need for prayer, you don’t have to walk through it alone.
The Father
2026/10/13
The story of the prodigal son is ultimately a revelation of the Father’s heart. Teaching from Luke 15, Dr. Michael Youssef shows that the Father’s love is neither weak nor permissive. He allows rebellion, grieves over separation, and waits patiently—but when repentance comes, He runs in mercy to receive the one who returns. This is costly, redemptive love. Dr. Youssef points to the cross, where Jesus Christ bore the shame and cost of redeeming sinners who could never save themselves. And rebellion does not always look the same. Some run openly into the far country. Others hide behind religion, pride, and outward respectability. But the call to both is the same: repent and come home. This episode calls listeners to: See the holiness and compassion of the Father,Repent of open or hidden rebellion,Trust the inerrant Word of God,Receive the mercy offered through Christ,Intercede for those still in the far country,Rejoice in the Father’s redemptive love. The Father’s arms remain open to the repentant. The question is whether we will humble ourselves and come home. Scripture Focus: Luke 15:1 If today’s teaching stirred a question, burden, or need for prayer, you don’t have to walk through it alone.
The Lost Coin
2026/10/12
Some people are lost far from God. Others are lost while surrounded by the things of God. Teaching from Luke 15, Dr. Michael Youssef unpacks Jesus’ parable of the lost coin and exposes the danger of careless, self-righteous religion that overlooks spiritually lost people. God, however, does not overlook them. Like the woman who lights a lamp, sweeps the house, and searches carefully until the coin is found, God’s love is active and purposeful. His Word brings light, His grace pursues the lost, and Heaven rejoices when one sinner turns back in repentance. This episode calls believers to: Recognize the seriousness of spiritual lostness,Repent of careless or self-righteous Christianity,Allow God’s Word to expose what is hidden,Intercede fervently for those drifting from Christ,Share God’s concern for every lost soul,Rejoice when sinners repent and are restored.God’s love does not passively watch the lost wander away. He seeks, He restores, and He calls His people to join Him in reaching those whom sin has stolen. The Lost Sheep
2026/10/09
The Church does not exist to preach popular ideas, human philosophies, or a Jesus reshaped by culture. We preach Jesus Christ as Lord. In this urgent message, Dr. Michael Youssef calls believers back to the inerrant Word of God and the full Biblical Truth about Christ. Jesus is not merely a teacher, moral example, or religious figure. He is eternal God in human flesh—the sinless Savior who died for sinners, rose bodily from the grave, ascended to Heaven, and will return in power and glory. Salvation cannot be earned through works, religious knowledge, or sincere feelings. It is received through repentance and faith in Jesus Christ alone. This episode calls believers to: Reject false and diluted gospels,Refuse cultural compromise,Stand firm on the authority of Scripture,Intercede for those trapped in deception,Proclaim Christ without fear or apology,Live under the Lordship of the risen King. The message has not changed. The mission has not changed. We preach Christ. The Nature of Discipleship
2026/10/08
Following Christ is not about comfort, reputation, or convenience. It is a call to die to self and surrender everything to Him. Teaching from Luke 14, Dr. Jonathan Youssef unpacks Jesus’ hard words about discipleship: loving Him above family, possessions, ambitions, and even self. To carry the cross means yielding every area of life to Christ’s sovereign rule and following Him regardless of the cost. Dr. Youssef also warns against false conversion and an easy-believe-ism that produces no transformed life. Genuine discipleship counts the cost, renounces competing loyalties, and follows Jesus with wholehearted obedience. This episode calls listeners to: Examine whether their faith is genuine,Repent of compromise and divided loyalty,Put Christ above comfort, possessions, and reputation,Take up the cross and die to selfish ambition,Follow Jesus with complete surrender,Intercede for a world in need of true disciples.True discipleship is costly—but Jesus Christ is worthy of everything. Scripture Focus: Luke 14:25-35 If today’s teaching stirred a question, burden, or need for prayer, you don’t have to walk through it alone.
Humility vs. Exaltation
2026/10/07
Religious pride can look respectable while keeping the heart far from God. Teaching from Luke 14, Dr. Youssef takes us inside a Pharisee’s dinner, where Jesus confronts man-made rules, exposes self-righteousness, and warns of the eternal danger of exalting ourselves before a holy God. Through His teaching on humility and the parable of the great banquet, Jesus also exposes the excuses people make for rejecting God’s gracious invitation. Worldly priorities, possessions, and self-sufficiency can keep a person from responding to the Gospel. This episode calls listeners to: Reject pride and self-righteousness,Examine the difference between religion and genuine faith,Humble themselves before a holy God,Repent of excuses that keep them from Christ,Recognize their spiritual poverty and need for grace,Intercede urgently for those who remain lost.God’s invitation is gracious, but it must not be treated lightly. True faith humbles itself, receives His grace, and lives in readiness for the Day of Judgment. Scripture Focus: Luke 14:1-24 If today’s teaching stirred a question, burden, or need for prayer, you don’t have to walk through it alone.
Who Is Going to Heaven?
2026/10/06
Not everyone who assumes they are going to Heaven will enter the Kingdom of God. Teaching from Luke 13, Dr. Michael Youssef explains Jesus’ warning about the narrow gate. Salvation cannot be inherited through family background, earned through good works, or claimed through outward religion. The call is personal and urgent: repent and place your faith in the saving work of Jesus Christ. Jesus warns that many who presume they belong will one day find themselves shut out, while repentant sinners from every nation will enter God’s Kingdom with joy. This episode calls listeners to: Examine the foundation of their faith,Reject false assurance,Repent without delay,Trust in Christ alone for salvation,Take seriously the reality of judgment and hell,Intercede urgently for those who remain lost. The narrow gate is still open, but it will not remain open forever. Now is the time to turn to Christ, believe the Gospel, and rest in His saving grace. Healing from Jesus
2026/10/05
Jesus Christ did not come to preserve empty religion. He came to set captives free. Teaching from Luke 13, Dr. Michael Youssef examines Jesus’ healing of a suffering woman and His confrontation with legalistic religion. In doing so, Christ exposes the danger of man-made rules that obscure God’s mercy and reveals the true character of Kingdom power—holy, compassionate, and unstoppable. Dr. Youssef also unpacks Jesus’ pictures of the mustard seed and leaven, showing how the Kingdom of God is both present and future. Through the Gospel, His Kingdom continues to advance until Christ returns in glory. Suffering with Jesus
2026/10/02
Suffering is not meaningless, and tragedy is not proof that someone is more sinful than another. Teaching from Luke 13, Dr. Michael Youssef corrects false assumptions about suffering and shows how God uses pain in the lives of believers to refine faith, draw His people closer to Himself, deepen compassion, and prepare them for greater fruitfulness. At the same time, Jesus uses tragedy as a warning. Calamities remind us that judgment is real and that repentance must not be delayed. Through the parable of the fig tree, Dr. Youssef calls listeners to: Reject false beliefs about suffering,Allow God to refine and strengthen their faith,Repent while His mercy is extended,Bear spiritual fruit,Intercede boldly for the lost,Live with urgency in light of coming judgment.God is patient, but His patience must never be presumed upon. The call of Christ is clear: repent, trust Him, and bear fruit while mercy remains.
