Riley was able to get his squad to play an extremely clean game in an extremely rough environment and earn a hard-fought Big Ten road victory. The crew talks about what they liked coming out of the win against the Nittany Lions and how Riley was able to out coach Matt Campbell. The Helium Boys, Shotgun Spratling and Chris Trevino, are back behind the microphones to break down the Trojans improving to 6-1 with a 31-23 road win in front of a raucous crowd at Penn State's Beaver Stadium. They break down the game and the incredible environment the entire 'White Out' weekend in Pennsylvania. The podcasting duo opens with the Two-Minute Drill where Chris unveils the top five games he's covered on the USC football beat while Shotgun talks about the incredible environment in State College for the USC fans that made the trip to support the Trojans. The boys of Helium jump into listener comments before breaking down the Trojans' victory, which featured clean play and USC showing an ability to get out of its own way. That includes avoiding penalties on the offensive line despite starting true freshman Vlad Dyakonov at left tackle in one of the craziest environments in college football. They also discuss a different form of fan participation from last week as fans were chanting Lincoln Riley's name in a positive manner rather than negatively. They also preview USC's opportunity to prove itself on the road at Penn State against their former defensive coordinator this weekend. The podcasting duo opens with the Two-Minute Drill  where Shotgun discusses his excitement about the upcoming 'White Out' game at Penn State while Chris talks about his disdain for the travel he will have to endure to get to State College, Pa. for the battle with the Nittany Lions. The boys of Helium jump into listener comments and corrections before breaking down the improved defensive play in the hard-fought win over the Huskies, including linebacking play making an impact with Ta'Mere Robinson filling in strongly for the suspended Desman Stephens. The Trojans have played at home five of its six games, but now needs to pile up some frequent flier miles heading to Penn State for a white out night contest. On this latest edition of Tunnel Vision USCFootball.com's Ryan Abraham and RJ Abeytia are back in studio talking about USC's 25-21 win over Washington on a hot Saturday evening in the Coliseum. Heading into the game the Trojans were relying on a prolific offense that could overcome the team's defensive shortcomings. Against the Huskies it was the defense that stepped up to overcome mistakes on the offensive side of the ball, including a spectacular thick-six when a hobbled Jahkeem Stewart picked up a fumble and rumbled 48-yards for the go-ahead touchdown. Ryan and RJ breakdown the good, the bad and the ugly (and there was plenty of ugly on both sides) and talk about how that even though it wasn't pretty, it was an uber-important result for head coach Lincoln Riley and this Trojans squad. Following the loss to Oregon, the local and national media constantly discussed the job security of Riley and the importance of making the College Football Playoffs this year. A loss to a struggling UW when SC came in as a 9.5-point favorite would have likely been the final nail in Riley's coffin, at least as far as fans were concerned.
