James Bond Part Two
2026/10/05
Send us Fan Mail
Welcome to part 2 of my deep dive into the fantastic music of James Bond. In part one, we covered the evolution of the Bond sound by the main Bond composer, John Barry, who had become synonymous with the franchise along with the actor who started it all, Sean Connery (and briefly George Lazenby).
This time we start in the tumultuous 1970s. It was a difficult time in America as big changes were brewing in the US, now fed up with the Vietnam War and still reeling from the death of Martin Luther King, Jr and the rising black movement as African Americans fought for equality. The one thing that you could always count on to entertain you was James Bond.
