supplemental follow-up demo for the evolve QT demo
2026/10/01
Between this podcast and the last, the following 3 questions were asked and answered.
Can you do Braille input on the QT?
The NVDA add-on PC Keyboard Braille Input add-on allows you to use the home row on the QT as your Braille input keyboard. Once add-on is installed from the add-on store, NVDA+0 toggles it on or off.
How do you bring up the drive list in Keysoft File Manager?
So rather than doing Space+D as you would on the evolve BT, its Control+D for the evolve QT.
How do you bring up the Keysoft applications short-cut to make the ribbon easier to use in Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Word?
On the evolve BT, its Backspace+A. On the evolve QT, press Alt, you'll hear Application menu, press down Arrow, you'll hear menu, press Enter and you will be at the top of the applications menu (where you would be on the BT).

Demo of using Remote Incident Manager RIM from your iPHone with a BT keyboard to your BrailleNote evolve
2026/09/24
Simply get RIM from getrim.app for your device, in this case Windows (Evolve), and then download the RIM app from the iOS App Store and away you go by simply using a keyword.
Nothing could be easier or free via the keyword option.
I'm going to upgrade mine to a subscription option as I'm so impressed by this product.
