Justification - Not A Novelty of the Gospel -Gal 3-6-14-------1. INTRODUCTION---2. ABRAHAM WAS JUSTIFIED BY FAITH ALONE -v6---a. Abraham, -father of the Jews- - justified by faith. v6, Gen 15-6-b. Before circumcision in Gen 17.-c. Before the written law was given. Gal 3-17--- Believers - Be committed to live by God's Word.---3. ABRAHAM'S CHILDREN ARE THOSE JUSTIFIED BY FAITH -7-8---a. Abraham's descendants - spiritual children who are justified by faith. v7-b. Inheritance of blessing by means of faith. v8, Gen 12-3, 18-18, 22-18-c. Abraham's faith - forward-looking faith to the coming Christ. v8--i. ABRAHAM'S JUSTIFICATION A ROLE MODEL FOR ALL -v9---a. Abraham and his spiritual children - -blessed- i.e., justified by faith through Christ. v9-b. One common justification in God's redemptive plan.--- Unbelievers - Put your faith in Christ alone and experienced the great exchange.---5. CONCLUSION

The Days Of Noah --- Matt 24-36-39, 44- Gen 6---1. Jesus affirmed 'the days of Noah' to be true historically. Why is this important to us-----2. Justification - The Justified Is Driven By The Spirit --- Gal 3-1-5--1. INTRODUCTION -v1----2. THE JUSTIFIED RECEIVES THE SPIRIT -v2---a. The law demands, but the gospel grants.-b. Gal 4-6. And because you are sons, God has sent forth the Spirit of His Son into your hearts, crying out, -Abba, Father---c. Gal 4-6 - Gal 2-20 - Christ lives in us through the Spirit.--- Remember who you are. --1 Cor 6-19-20. Or do you not know that your body is the temple of the Holy Spirit who is in you, whom you have from God, and you are not your own-- For you were bought at a price- therefore glorify God in your body and in your spirit, which are God's.--- Unbelievers, have you confessed that the crucified Jesus is your Lord----1 Cor 12-3. Therefore I make known to you that no one speaking by the Spirit of God calls Jesus accursed, and no one can say that Jesus is Lord except by the Holy Spirit.--3. THE JUSTIFIED GROWS BY THE SPIRIT -v3-4---a. The law condemns, but the gospel inspires.-b. Gal 5-25. If we live in the Spirit, let us also walk in the Spirit.-c. Gal 5-18 - Gal 5-22 - Christ's life of obedience reflected in our lives.--- Remember who you lived for. --4. THE JUSTIFIED SERVES BY THE SPIRIT -v5---a. The law hinders, the gospel equips.-b. 1 Cor 12-11. But one and the same Spirit works all these things, distributing to each one individually as He wills.-c. 1 Cor 12-11 - 1 Cor 12-7 - Christ's gifts to us through the Spirit for His church.--- Remember who you use your gifts on. ---5. The Truth of the Gospel - Justification -Gal 2-15-21---1. INTRODUCTION---2. JUSTIFICATION IS AN ACT WHERE GOD ACCEPTS US AS RIGHTEOUS -v19-21---a. Our righteousness comes from Christ's death. v21--Rom 5-19. For as by one man's disobedience many were made sinners, -so also by one Man's obedience many will be made righteous.--2 Cor 5-21. For He made Him who knew no sin to be sin for us, -that we might become the righteousness of God in Him.---b. Our requirement to live a righteous life is grounded in our justification.-i. Justification frees us from the rule of the law. v19-ii. Justification joins us to Christ's death and resurrection. v20--- Believers, turn away from sin's temptation and subdue it.---3. JUSTIFICATION IS AN ACT OF GOD'S GRACE -v20-21---a. Justified by Christ's death because of Christ's love. v20-b. Justified by Christ's death because of God's grace. v21--- Believers, thank God we are justified unconditionally.---4. JUSTIFICATION IS RECEIVED BY FAITH IN CHRIST ALONE -v15-18---a. Not by success in law compliance, but by faith in Christ only. v16-b. Not for the Jews only, but also for the Gentiles. v15-16-c. Not sinful to abandon law compliance as the basis of acceptance. v17-18--- Believers, trust in Christ for your eternal security.-- Unbelievers and seekers, pin your hope of salvation on Christ alone.---5.
