The Gospel of Matthew | Matthew 7:15-29
2026/10/20
Discernment is essential in a world full of counterfeits. Jesus teaches us how to identifying truth in Matthew 7:15–29. In this message by Pastor Maiola Vivas, we unpack the warning to be on guard against false prophets who appear gentle on the outside but on the inside are driven by selfish gain. Rather than becoming paranoid or caught up in endless debates about who is right and wrong, we learn to evaluate spiritual influences not by talent, giftings, or crowd size - but by the lasting, Christlike character produced in that person's life.
This passage also teaches us to look inward and examine the authenticity of our own walk with God. Jesus makes it clear that simply calling Him "Lord" or putting on a show of spirituality is not the same as truly knowing Him or surrendering to His will. Real faith goes deeper than outward appearance. This kind of faith is marked by genuine repentance, a personal relationship with Christ, and a life transformed from the heart.
The Gospel of Matthew | Matthew 7:7-14
2026/10/14
When reading through Jesus' teachings in the Sermon on the Mount, it is easy to feel overwhelmed by our own inability to live up to God's standard. We might be tempted to fixate on our failures and fall into despair, much like a prisoner staring at a locked door while the key sits right beside them. In this message by Pastor Maiola Vivas on Matthew 7:7–14, we are reminded that our response to our shortcomings should never be self-pity or despair but rather prayer directed toward a loving heavenly Father.
Jesus invites us to continually ask, seek, and knock, assuring us that our Father delights to give good gifts to His children. Because God is a faithful Father who knows how to care for us, we can pray with bold confidence knowing that He hears us. This deep security in God's love empowers us to approach him boldly in prayer and to actively pursue the good of others rather than just avoiding wrongdoing.
Ultimately, Jesus contrasts the broad, easy road that leads to destruction with the narrow gate that leads to life. True life is found not through religious rule-following or worldly compromise, but through a trusting and abiding relationship with Jesus as the only way to the Father. Discover how shifting your eyes off yourself to the Father's goodness can transform your prayer life and guide you along the narrow path that leads to true life!
The Gospel of Matthew | Matthew 7:1-6
2026/10/05
It is remarkably easy to spot the flaws in others while remaining completely oblivious to our own. In this sermon on Matthew 7:1–6, titled "How to Judge People," Pastor Maiola Vivas unpacks Jesus' famous teaching about the speck and the log. Far from telling us to abandon moral discernment, Jesus exposes the absurd hypocrisy of quick, self-righteous condemnation and calls us to examine our own hearts first.
We'll explore what it takes to deal honestly with our own sin through humility and by the power of the Holy Spirit before trying to correct someone else. Looking in the mirror of Scripture helps us remove our own blind spots, shifting our heart from self-serving judgment to genuine and loving care for others.
Jesus also gives us practical wisdom on using spiritual discernment, helping us know when to offer truth and when to show restraint. He teaches us to have a clear, grounded perspective on how to deal with personal hypocrisy, embrace God's grace, and practice healthy, loving discernment in our daily relationships.
The Gospel of Matthew | Matthew 6:25-34
2026/09/29
Finding genuine peace that lasts feels nearly impossible when anxiety and worry seem to be our constant companion. In this sermon on Matthew 6:25–34, Pastor Maiola Vivas helps us to look at Jesus' tender yet direct command to not be anxious about the daily necessities of life. Rather than dismissing our concerns, Jesus gently draws our eyes to creation. He reminds us of how the Father feeds the birds of the air and clothes the lilies of the field. When we look to Him, we realize just how deeply valued and loved we are by Him.
It's in knowing this love of His that brings true peace. We put our trust in the character of our Heavenly Father, resting in the fact that he already knows every need we have. Instead of living like those who frantically chase after temporary security, we are invited to shift our posture from fear to faith.
When we stop trying to control tomorrow and instead cast our anxieties on Him, we are freed to experience a life rooted in His care. Pastor Maiola offers a helpful perspective on what it means to practically seek first God's kingdom and His righteousness, letting go of tomorrow's worries to rest in His faithful provision today.
The Gospel of Matthew | Matthew 6:19-24
2026/09/21
Today's culture constantly urges us to acquire more. Work hard, to make money, to spend it on things that we want and desire. As stewards of the things that God gives us, we must ask the question: where am I investing my time, energy, and resources?
In this sermon on Matthew 6:19–24, Jesus contrasts fragile earthly riches with lasting eternal heavenly rewards. While material possessions are not inherently wrong, making them the anchor of our hope, joy, and peace can quietly turn our hearts away from God.
Pastor Maiola Vivas challenges us to look closely at what we treasure, reminding us that our daily choices reveal the real condition of our hearts. Jesus warns that it is impossible to divide our allegiance between God and wealth; we cannot serve two masters. By learning to see our resources through a lens of faithful stewardship, we can shift our mindset from building temporary earthly kingdoms to making a lasting impact for eternity.
The Gospel of Matthew | Matthew 6:16-18
2026/09/14
When it comes to spiritual disciplines like fasting, prayer, and generosity, why is it so easy to focus on outward appearances rather than the inward state of our hearts? In this sermon on Matthew 6:16–18, we look at the instructions Jesus gives to His followers about practicing their faith. He encourages us to examine our motives, making sure our motive is not to impress others but to seek genuine fellowship with God.
By addressing the subtle trap of seeking human approval, Pastor Maiola Vivas reminds us of the true Biblical purpose of fasting, which is to hunger for more of God. Jesus reminds us that true devotion doesn't need a public stage or a gloomy face. Instead, when we fix our focus on the Father who sees what is done in secret, our spiritual lives are protected from pride and filled with real purpose and great reward.
Discover how choosing secret devotion over public performance can expose our weaknesses, deepen our dependence on God, and bring satisfaction of living entirely for Him!
The Gospel of Matthew | Matthew 6:9-15
2026/09/09
Sometimes prayer can feel like a dry routine: saying the right words to get our way, high-pressure performance, or striving to get God's attention. In this message, Pastor Maiola Vivas unpacks how Jesus lovingly models a completely different framework. He teaches us to approach God not as a distant ruler but as a heavenly Father who knows our needs and invites us into real relationship.
Together, we look at how balancing deep intimate friendship with awe-inspiring reverence changes the way we pray to God during life's greatest trials. When we seek His Kingdom and surrender our will to His, trusting Him for daily provision, we find true fellowship with our loving Father.
The example of prayer that Jesus gives us in Matthew 6:9-15 shapes our hearts from the inside out. It reminds us that our confidence doesn't come from using eloquent words, but from knowing the character of the One who listens. Shifting our perspective on prayer transforms our quiet times, deepens our trust, and draws us closer to the Father's heart!
The Gospel of Matthew | Matthew 6:1-8
2026/09/01
We live in a world filled with caution signs. It can be all too easy to brush them off and assume everything will be fine. In Matthew 6:1–8, Pastor Derek Napoleon explores spiritual warning signs posted by Jesus in the Sermon on the Mount. Together, we'll unpack why ignoring them carries profound consequences for both daily life and eternity.
At the core of this teaching, Jesus challenges the hidden motives of the human heart. He cautions against the subtle trap of performing faith, public generosity, or impressive prayers that aim to earn attention and applause from others. By exposing the emptiness of religious showmanship, He invites everyone into a far richer reality: a life marked by quiet generosity and authentic, heartfelt prayer. True righteousness is never about putting on a show for a crowd, but about living sincerely before a loving Father who sees every secret act and promises a lasting reward.
Pastor Derek encourages us to step away from the noise to establish a daily "Secret Hideaway." This is both a physical space to unplug and an inner posture of abiding with God everywhere. Discover how guarding the heart against pride opens the door to genuine peace, deeper fellowship, and the joy of living for an audience of One.
The Gospel of Matthew | Matthew 5:43-48
2026/08/25
This week, Pastor Mike Skedeleski continues our series through the book of Matthew. In a world that constantly encourages us to love only those who love us back and to hold onto personal animosity, Jesus introduces a Kingdom standard that turns cultural norms upside down. What if the true test of our faith isn't how we treat our friends but how we respond to the very people who offend, hurt, or persecute us?
Keeping the cross in mind, we discover that Jesus never asks us to do anything He didn't live out first. Through His humble and gracious example at Calvary, we see what it means to choose a posture of prayer over payback, allowing God's unearned grace and love to flow to everyone around us. By diving deeper into what it means to love our enemies and pray for their blessing, we learn how our everyday actions can reflect the very character and spiritual DNA of our Father in Heaven. When we stop letting our flesh and the world dictate our reactions and instead let Christ's love lead our hearts, our lives become living evidence of His grace.

Relationships have the potential to bring life's greatest joys but they can also bring some of the deepest pain. How do we navigate these everyday connections in a world that tells us to look out for number one? In this message by Pastor Paul Gates, we dive back into Jesus' Sermon on the Mount. Paul reveals how we can deploy the ultimate TASK Force in our daily lives—anchored in Trust, Actions, Serving, and Kindness.
Together, we unpack what it truly means to live out counter-cultural love in our relationships. From learning why your character matters far more than simple words, to understanding the surprising historical context behind going the extra mile, Jesus offers us a radical alternative to revenge and retaliation. When we allow God's word, rather than culture or our fleeting emotions, to influence how we respond to others, we disarm conflict and glorify God.
Our relationships are transformed from the inside out when we stop letting the world drive our behavior and instead allow Jesus to lead us. Join us as we learn how applying God's word can help us to love generously, serve selflessly, and to bring real hope to the people around you!

What does it look like to live with faithfulness that goes deeper than our actions and reaches into our hearts? Marriage is more than a legal agreement. It is a sacred covenant designed by God to reflect His faithful love towards His people. In this message, Pastor Mike Skedeleski explores Jesus' teaching in Matthew 5:31–32, inviting us to rediscover God's original design for marriage and why His heart has always been for lifelong faithfulness, grace, and restoration.

Rather than offering condemnation, Jesus points us to the deeper condition of the heart while reminding us that His grace is greater than our failures. Whether we have experienced the pain of a broken relationship or are seeking to strengthen the one that we have, we can find hope in the God who restores and makes all things new.
Join us as we discover how God's Divine Design for marriage ultimately points us to the unwavering love of Christ, the One who never leaves us, never forsakes us, and faithfully keeps His covenant of love with us.
