#730: The Chosen: Season 4: Episode 6: Dedication [Podcast] - Audio
2026/09/30
Today on the show, I share my personal review of The Chosen Season 4, Episode 6—an episode that blends celebration, confrontation, and foreshadowing in powerful ways. I talk about Jesus and the disciples observing Hanukkah, the Feast of Dedication, and I discuss Jesus’ bold declaration to the Pharisees in the temple: “I and the Father are one.” I also reflect on Judas’s growing frustration as he pushes for an earthly kingdom while Jesus continues pointing to a heavenly one, a tension that clearly hints at the betrayal still to come. I also look at the emotional turn the episode takes when Jesus and the disciples receive the heartbreaking news that Lazarus has died. We also discuss an important subplot that contains one of my favorite moments in this episode- a conversation between Thomas and Peter about loss and how God’s perspective is so much higher than ours. Their exchange adds depth to an already weighty episode and reminds us that even in grief, God is working out His perfect plan. #729: Daniel & The Fiery Furnace (2026) [Podcast] - Audio
2026/09/24
In this episode, I review the brand‑new film Daniel and the Fiery Furnace starring Mena Massoud, and Elijah Alexander! It releases in theaters on September 18th. This powerful movie brings to life the biblical account of Daniel and his friends—men who stood firm in faith when the world demanded compromise. Their courage, conviction, and trust in God are portrayed with vivid storytelling that honors the book of Daniel while inviting viewers to reflect on their own walk with the Lord. Listen to my full review, then make plans to see this inspiring film on the big screen. It’s a story meant to be experienced in community, so bring your friends and share the message of bold faith and unwavering hope. This is one movie you won’t want to miss.
#728: Women in The Church [Podcast] - Audio
2026/09/17
Today on the show, I discuss the Southern Baptist Convention's recent reaffirmation of the biblical principle that God calls women to be silent in the church. I will examine what the Bible truly says, emphasizing that our opinions don't matter. God's Instruction to us does. Additionally, I want to explore a question that I believe many overlook regarding this topic: Why did God instruct that women should be silent in the church? Join me as I delve into the significant answer to this important question. Listen and share with a friend!

#727: September Bears [Podcast] - Audio
2026/09/09
On Today's show, I sit down with Bob Karel, director of September Bears, opening at Master Arts Theater on September 11th. Bob shares the heart behind this moving, true‑story production that highlights one teacher's incredible response to the events of 9/11. As it expanded to her church, their compassion, courage, and willingness to serve became a powerful testimony of faith in action during one of America’s darkest moments. The conversation explores how September Bears depicts believers as the hands and feet of Jesus, bringing comfort and hope when tragedy strikes. #726: Front of the Class (2008) [Podcast] - Audio
2026/09/02
On today's show, I share a heartfelt review of "Front of the Class" (2008), the inspiring Hallmark Hall of Fame film based on the true story of Brad Cohen. Born with Tourette’s syndrome, Brad faces misunderstanding, rejection, and countless obstacles, but he refuses to let any of them define him. The movie follows his journey from a struggling child to a determined adult who believes he was born to teach. Jimmy Wolk delivers a powerful performance as Brad, capturing both the pain of his challenges and the joy of his triumphs, while Treat Williams and Patricia Heaton bring depth and warmth as Brad’s supportive parents. Listen as I discuss how this film raises topics that need to be addressed more often. I resonate deeply with this story because I have also struggled to overcome the stigma associated with my disability, cerebral palsy. My hope is that this film will help you and your family gain a greater understanding of what it means to live with a disability and highlight how we are more alike than different. You can watch this film for free right now on Youtube or Tubi!

#724: Speaking The Truth in Love Part 4 [Podcast] - Audio
2026/08/19
Today on the show, I continue my series *Speaking the Truth in Love*, drawn from Focus on the Family’s video conversations featuring Rosaria Butterfield and Jim Daly. I discuss the fact that God’s Word is the source of truth and the means by which He sets His people apart. As Jesus was sent into the world, He sends us as well, calling us to love others with a truth‑filled compassion that reflects His heart. In this episode, I highlight three key exchanges the world makes for truth: God vs. Self, Truth vs. Lies, and Natural vs. Unnatural. Through Proverbs 16, 1 John 1, and Romans 1, we see how God’s Word challenges our pride, exposes falsehood, and clarifies God’s design for human life and relationships. These passages encourage believers to walk in the light, confess sin honestly, and trust God’s direction. The conversation invites listeners to embrace biblical truth not as a burden but as a loving gift meant to guide, protect, and transform.

#723: The Chosen: Season 4, Episode 5: Sitting, Serving, Scheming [Podcast] - Audio
2026/08/13
In today’s episode of the Speaking4Him Podcast, I share my thoughts on The Chosen Season 4 Episode 5: “Sitting, Serving, Scheming.” This episode offers a powerful look at three very different responses to Jesus — each one challenging us to examine our own hearts. 1. The Power of Serving Beyond Expectations We see characters who are challenged by Jesus to go the extra mile in service, not out of obligation, but out of love. Their actions remind us that true service flows from a heart transformed by Christ. When we serve others sacrificially, we reflect His character in a world that desperately needs it. 2. Mary & Martha: Giving Jesus Your Heart The familiar story of Mary and Martha is portrayed with fresh emotional depth. Martha’s busyness and Mary’s devotion highlight a timeless truth: Jesus desires our hearts more than our performance. This episode invites us to slow down, sit at His feet, and let His presence reorder our priorities. 3. Judas Iscariot: When You Miss Jesus at the Heart Level Judas’s storyline continues to unfold with tension and tragedy. His inability to grasp Jesus’ mission at a heart level leads him down a dangerous path. The episode shows how misunderstanding Jesus — or trying to fit Him into our own agenda — can have devastating consequences. Listen to my full review on the Speaking4Him Podcast, and then watch this episode for free on The Chosen app or thechosen.tv!. It’s well worth your time, and I believe it will challenge and encourage you in your walk with Christ.
