2026/04/13
What if the best place to begin…is right where you are? In this light interval workout, Alisa Keeton invites you to move your body while meditating on the Word of God—letting truth get not just into your mind, but into your body. Because when we move and meditate, the Word becomes alive in us. Alisa comes to you fresh from sabbatical—honest, tender, and a little undone. Everything feels new. Raw. Open. And this message meets you there. A message to nourish your soul and strengthen your spirit. An Invitation to New Life Jesus came to give you life—and life to the full. Today's Scripture 📖 Ephesians 3:14–19 "…that you, being rooted and grounded in love… may know the love of Christ that surpasses knowledge…" Truth to Hold Onto You are an image bearer of God. Loved. #1060 GLP-1s, the Vagus Nerve, and a Body That Feels Safe Again
2026/04/09
In this timely and honest conversation, Alisa Keeton explores the rise of GLP-1 medications and the deeper story beneath the headlines. While these drugs are being celebrated—even evolving into new versions that promise muscle gain—Alisa invites us to pause and ask a better question: What is our body actually trying to tell us? This episode goes beyond weight loss trends and into the heart of human longing, safety, and connection. Because often, the issue isn't just food noise—it's the pain that came first. When we don't feel safe, seen, or loved, our bodies respond. And sometimes, that response looks like reaching for food. But what if healing isn't found in silencing the signal… but in listening to it? In This Episode, You'll Learn: What GLP-1 medications actually do in the body Why the cultural push toward "skinny" is resurfacing The connection between emotional safety and eating patterns How "food noise" is often rooted in unmet needs The role of the vagus nerve in hunger, fullness, and nervous system regulation Why low vagal tone can disrupt your body's ability to feel satisfied How Scripture reframes rest, repentance, and true salvation A Deeper Reflection: "Where there is no love, there is noise." Drawing from 1 Corinthians 13, Alisa connects the dots between love, safety, and the internal signals we often try to override. When love feels absent, the body gets louder. Science + Faith Connection: This episode references research highlighted in Scientific American (June 2024) exploring how GLP-1 medications interact with the brain—and how the vagus nerve plays a key role in signaling satiety. So What Can You Do? If your body feels dysregulated or disconnected, there is hope. Here are simple, natural ways to support your body's GLP-1 response and restore nervous system balance: 1. Activate the Vagus Nerve (your "rest and restore" pathway): Breathwork (the most effective place to start) Gentle, rhythmic movement (walking, swaying, bouncing) 2. Use Your Voice: Humming Singing 3. Support Your Body Physically: Cold exposure (cold showers, plunges) Heat (sauna) 4. Nourish Your Gut + Hormones: Fiber (25–30g daily) Adequate protein Fermented foods for microbiome health 5. Restore Rhythms: Prioritize quality sleep Practice slow, mindful eating Featured Resource: 👉 Be Still and Be Loved: Body Scan (A gentle way to regulate your nervous system and reconnect with your body) 👉 Get connected: revelationwellness.org | Instagram | YouTube 👉 Join RW+ for community, faith-fueled workouts, and real freedom (including our Food & Body Freedom Group): [link] 👉 Train with us — become a Revelation Wellness Instructor or LiveWell Coach: [link] Loved this episode? #1059 "He is the Prize" A REVING the Word Workout
2026/04/06
Lace up your shoes and head out for a walk, run, or workout as Aaron keeps you company. This isn't just a podcast you listen to—it's one you do. This is your invitation to bring your whole self—body, mind, and soul—into today's movement. Before you begin, take a moment to check in: How does your body feel? Is there tension? Ease? What about your emotions—are you feeling steady, excited, heavy? A Conversation on Leadership and Focus In today's episode, Aaron unpacks the tension between celebrity Christianity and true, faithful leadership. Somewhere along the way, leadership can shift from shepherding people to managing systems—focused on processes, scalability, and efficiency. But when care for people is replaced with performance, we miss the heart of what leadership is meant to be. In Exodus 18, Aaron shares one of the clearest models of leadership structure in the Old Testament. Moses receives wise counsel built on instruction from God. Leadership is never meant to replace dependence on God. Fix Your Eyes Sometimes, we miss out on Someone because we're too focused on something else. We don't come to the Bible just for answers or outcomes. We come to encounter God. 📖 Matthew 6:33 reminds us: "Seek first the kingdom of God…" Not results. Not recognition. Not influence. He is the prize. What Moses Teaches Us It's easy to chase leadership as a skillset—but without God's instruction, we end up leading in our own strength. Don't leave Him out of your plans. Keep Him in your purpose, your principles, your ministry, your leadership. Questions to Carry As you move today, consider: What is God instructing you to do right now? What small step can you take today? You don't need the full roadmap. Trust that as you walk with Him, He will illuminate the next step. Keep moving. Stay present. Fix your eyes on Jesus. Because in the end— He is the prize. 🎧 Playlist for This Workout I Met God on the Dance Floor (Rave Jesus) Hey DJ (Forrest Frank) Espresso - Instrumental (Sabrina Carpenter) Just Believe (Brandon Lake & Bailey Zimmerman) Blinding Lights - Instrumental (The Weeknd) HolyGhost (Sons of Sunday)  I Know a Name (Brandon Lake & CeCe Winans) Get Connected: 👉 Join RW+ for community, faith-fueled workouts, and real freedom (including our Food & Body Freedom Group): [link] 👉 Train with us — become a Revelation Wellness Instructor or LiveWell Coach: [link] 👉 Follow Us: revelationwellness.org | Instagram | YouTube Loved this episode? In this episode, Jennifer Allen leads you through an interval workout while anchoring your heart in the truth of who you are in Christ. Because in Him, you are alive. This is more than movement. This is an invitation to step into the new life Jesus has already given you. Workout Structure Intervals: 45 seconds work / 15 seconds rest Repeat 5 rounds 2-minute recovery Complete the full cycle 3 times Push during your work intervals. Recover with intention. Let your breath and body remind you—you are alive and held. New to REVING the Word? Press play and take this episode on a walk, run, hike, or to the gym. You pick how you want to move as you work out your body, and work in the good news! Today's Scripture 📖 Colossians 2:9–15 In Christ, you are not lacking. You are not unfinished. You are made alive.  Not patched up. Not barely surviving. Fully alive in Him. A Story of Trust Jen shares her story of learning to trust God—with her security, her future, and her life. Her story is a reminder: God is trustworthy with everything we tend to hold tightly. Questions to Carry As you move through each interval, reflect: Who were you when you first met Jesus? Who were you when He began to show up in your life? What were you hoping He would change? Where have you grown? Where has God softened you? Where are you less reactive than you used to be? What old mindset is God replacing in you? A New Way to Live You are allowed to outgrow what once protected you. Survival is not the same as new life. In Christ, you get to put on a new self—a new way of walking in this world. And if He is correcting you, He is not condemning you. He is shaping you. He is working. He is bringing new life. So keep moving. Stay present. Let every interval remind you: You are alive. In this episode, Torie Bartee (graduate of Platoon 23 and team member at Revelation Wellness) leads you through a movement experience rooted in love, identity, and truth. As you fix your eyes on Jesus, this workout becomes more than physical—it becomes formational. Because what you believe about yourself determines the actions you take. So today, we begin from a place of identity. New to REVING the Word? Press play and take this episode on a walk, run, hike, or to the gym. You pick how you want to move as you work out your body, and work in the good news! Begin with Awareness As you start moving, take a moment to check in: How does your body feel today? Not with judgment—but with curiosity. Instead of running from discomfort, ask: "Lord, what does kindness look like for me today?" Do you need to push a little? Or is today an invitation to pull back? Let your movement be guided by grace, not pressure. Today's Scripture 📖 Psalm 84 10–12 "Better is one day in your courts than a thousand elsewhere…" As you move, let this truth anchor you: Being with God is better than striving without Him. A Question to Carry As your body warms and your heart opens, consider: What does "better" look like for you today? Notice what rises up. Pay attention without judgment. Bring it before the Lord. Move in Love This is your invitation to move your body in love, not punishment. To stay present. To listen. To respond. Keep your eyes on Christ. Let your identity shape your effort. #1056 Faith, Fitness, and the Cost of Discipleship | Corey Sanders on Following Jesus
2026/03/19
What does real transformation actually take? In this powerful conversation, Aaron Brewer, guest host, sits down with Corey Sanders—known as the "F.I.T. Pastor"—a shepherd at heart who is passionate about helping people live fully aligned in body, mind, and spirit. Corey doesn't just talk about faith and fitness—he lives it. With a background rooted in athletics and a calling to ministry, his life reflects a deep commitment to growth, discipline, and becoming who God created him to be. Together, Aaron and Corey explore what it means to pursue a transformation that goes beyond the surface. Because the truth is—real change doesn't happen halfway. It happens when we come to the end of ourselves. In this episode, you'll hear: Corey's journey from athlete to pastor—and how both shaped his view of discipline and purpose Why many people don't experience transformation (and what's actually required) The role of suffering in growth—and why we can't bypass it What it means to "come to the end of yourself" and why that's where breakthrough begins How self-denial and disciplining the flesh leads to freedom, not restriction Why understanding your identity in Christ changes everything Key Takeaway: If we're not intentional about our lives, it's easy to drift—to wake up one day and realize we've been coasting. But transformation comes when we choose to live awake, aware, and fully surrendered. Listener Reflection: Where in your life have you been coasting? What might it look like to fully surrender that area to God—and trust Him with the process of transformation? #1054 "Emotional Maturity" A REVING the Word INTERVAL Workout
2026/03/09
What if the places where you feel the most emotionally reactive are actually invitations to grow? In today's workout, Alisa Keeton, founder and CEO of Revelation Wellness, invites you to move your body while engaging the Word of God—not just hearing it, but living it. Because Scripture calls us to be doers of the Word, not just hearers. So get your good body moving. However you choose to move today—walking, jogging, stretching, or simply breathing deeply—remember this: movement helps your body do what God designed it to do. Today's Scripture: Numbers 20:1–13 The Body and Our Emotions Our bodies are emotional places. Trauma expert Bessel van der Kolk famously wrote The Body Keeps the Score, reminding us that emotions live in our bodies. No emotion is off the table. At their core, emotions are childlike signals. Your brain is simply trying to keep you safe. But emotional reactivity can reveal something deeper. Our emotional instability can show us the places where we're still growing. The places where we're still immature. The places where we need God's presence most. Questions to Reflect On While You Move As you get the blood flowing and settle into your movement today, consider: What have you seen God do in your life? What miracles has He already performed? Where might you be trying to fix things in your own strength? Emotional maturity isn't achieved through willpower. The cure is His presence. So today, breathe deep. Relax your shoulders. Keep moving. Let God meet you in your body, your breath, and your emotions. #1053 "This Is On Us" A REVING the Word Steady-State Workout
2026/03/02
What if your movement today wasn't about burning calories… but about coming back home to God? In this steady-state workout, Alisa Keeton, founder and CEO of Revelation Wellness, invites you into a pace that is sustainable, honest, and present. Keep your effort level above a 5—steady, intentional, consistent. Because when we move, we're telling our brains we're not stuck. We stir up energy. We remind our bodies we are not powerless. Today's workout is simple: If you're moving, you're doing it right. A Transparent Invitation Alisa comes to you today a little thin in her soul—honest, open, and anchored in truth. This episode is an invitation to gaze at God. Like Moses, when we do, our faces shine. "Our soul does not find rest until it rests in God." – St. Augustine As your body moves in steady rhythm, your spirit is invited to settle. Biology marries theology here. Movement meets meditation. Effort meets surrender. Today's Scripture Meditation We are taking one verse and letting it go deep—encoded into brain and body. Not a sweet treat you taste and forget, but meat. Substance. Sustenance. Something you can chew on long after this workout ends. Today's prescription comes from: 📖 2 Chronicles 7:14 "If my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven…" Humble. Pray. Seek. Turn. This is on us. As you keep your effort steady, let these words settle into your muscles and marrow. Let your good body move in whatever way feels true and aligned. We aren't striving today. We are responding. New to REVING the Word? Press play and take this episode on a walk, run, hike, or to the gym. #1052 Finding Peace with Food and Body Noise
2026/02/26
Alisa is on fire with a message that's resonating with so many: understanding and finding peace with both food noise—the mental chatter around eating—and body noise—the persistent thoughts about how we look and show up in the world. In this episode, she breaks down why these inner messages exist, how they connect to deeper feelings of safety, and what it takes to respond with awareness, truth, and grace. What You'll Learn: What food noise really is: Persistent mental chatter about food that can feel overwhelming. Why it exists: Not all food noise is bad! Hunger is actually a gift—a signal from your body to nourish yourself. The 7 forms of hunger: From true, homeostatic hunger to emotional, social, environmental, habitual, survival, and reward hunger. Understanding which is which can help you respond with awareness rather than guilt. The connection to safety: Increased food noise often points to a deeper sense of insecurity or loss of safety. Body noise: Continual thoughts about our appearance and how we look, and why awareness is the first step in responding differently. Soul work: How sin and brokenness in our world have disrupted our connection to God, ourselves, and others, and why body and food struggles often show up the moment we feel "something is wrong" with our bodies. Hope in community: RW+ offers a space to explore, process, and grow together. Scripture Highlight: Genesis 3:9 reminds us that God seeks us even in our brokenness—and invites us into healing, not shame. 👉 Join RW+ for community, faith-fueled workouts, and real freedom (including our Food & Body Freedom Group): [link] 👉 Train with us — become a Revelation Wellness Instructor or LiveWell Coach: [link] 👉 Get connected: revelationwellness.org | Instagram | YouTube Loved this episode? The world is wired to drive and push—to keep you moving quickly, producing more, doing more. But the Lord offers a different rhythm. An invitation to dwell. To reside. To abide. #1048 Hormones & Holy Ground
2026/02/05
A listener reached out after watching her mother struggle from a lack of estrogen—and it opened a much bigger conversation about hormones, menopause, and how we respond to change in the body. This episode isn't about fixing what's broken or chasing youth. It's about gaining clarity—understanding what hormones actually are, why there is so much confusion around hormone replacement, and how we can think wisely about care for the body in seasons of transition. Together, we hold biology and theology without fear or extremes. Alisa walks through what hormones are at their most basic level—chemical messengers in the body—and why shifts are a normal part of being human in a broken world. Today's focus is on the female big three: estrogen, progesterone, and testosterone, and how their levels typically peak in our 20s to mid-30s before changing over time. A key theme in this episode is the difference between restorative and resistive approaches to medicine. Rather than striving to reverse time or fight the body, Alisa invites you to consider what it means to restore, support, and reduce inflammation—especially when fear and uncertainty drive many decisions around hormones and menopause. Alisa also shares from her own experience, while offering an important reminder: she is not a medical professional, and this episode is not medical advice. Instead, it's an invitation to thoughtful discernment, curiosity, and peace as you consider how to steward your body well. In this episode, you'll hear about: Why hormones and hormone replacement are so confusing What hormones are and how they function as messengers in the body The female big three: estrogen, progesterone, and testosterone Why hormone levels shift after the mid-30s The role of inflammation in hormonal health Restorative vs. resistive medicine—and why the distinction matters This conversation is an invitation to greater clarity, discernment, and peace in how we steward our bodies in seasons of change. 👉 Ready to reset with us?
