This week on Legacy Scrubland, we dive into one of the biggest debates in Legacy: proxies. Are proxies helping keep Legacy accessible and growing, or do they take something away from the format? We break down the arguments on both sides, from cost and accessibility to tournament expectations and the value of owning real cards. We also take a look at the current Legacy meta, what decks are performing well, what strategies are gaining ground, and where we think the format stands right now. Fantasticar is gone. The Legacy metagame is shifting. And apparently Kyle and Adam know each other a little too well. In this episode of Legacy Scrubland, we break down the recent ban of Fantasticar, what it means for Legacy, which decks stand to gain or lose, and where the format might go from here. Then we try something new: finishing each other’s sentences. We throw out spicy Legacy prompts, predict how the other host will finish them, and inevitably argue about whether the takes are brilliant, terrible, or somewhere in between. Bans, hot takes, questionable opinions, and absolutely no agreement guaranteed.

In this episode, we journey from the Shire to the sideboard as we break down the newest Magic: The Gathering release inspired by The Hobbit. Are these cards precious, playable, or destined for the bulk bin? Join us as we find out.
