And finally, we head north to Seattle, where lawmakers are considering legislation aimed at preventing grocery stores from using individualized pricing practices based on information about shoppers. Could your shopping history or personal data affect what you pay at the checkout? Drew and Marcus break down the controversy and what the proposed rules could mean for shoppers. Rescues, movies, technology and grocery store drama — just another day in the Pacific Northwest!
Dante Moore, USC Controversy & Damian Lillard Returns to Portland
2026/09/30
The PNW Podcast is fired up this week as Drew and Marcus break down the aftermath of the controversial hit on Oregon Ducks quarterback Dante Moore against USC and what his injury could mean for Oregon’s season moving forward. The guys also let their frustrations with USC, the program, the coaching, the hit itself, and the reaction from some USC fans fly. It’s an emotional conversation about one of the most talked-about moments of the Ducks’ season — and what comes next for Oregon. Then it’s time to talk Portland Trail Blazers basketball. The team president says the Blazers are working toward a long-term lease agreement to keep the team at the Moda Center, and Drew and Marcus discuss what that could mean for the future of basketball in Portland. And there’s plenty of excitement surrounding the new-look Blazers roster. With Damian Lillard back in Portland, alongside Deni Avdija, Ja Morant, and an impressive supporting cast, could this be the beginning of a completely different era for the Trail Blazers? Ducks football, USC controversy, Dante Moore, the future of the Blazers, Moda Center, Damian Lillard, Ja Morant, Deni Avdija — it’s all happening on the PNW Podcast.

Jesse the Chicken Guy: Portland’s Best Wings, Hidden Gems & More
2026/09/21
If you love chicken, wings, and finding the best food Portland has to offer, you’re going to want to hear this conversation with Jesse, aka the Chicken Guy. From classic Buffalo wings and dry rubs to smoked wings and wild Asian-inspired sauces, Jesse has made it his mission to eat his way through Portland one piece of chicken at a time. And while wings are his specialty, his food obsession goes way beyond fried chicken. We dive into dumplings, sandwiches, hidden gems, local favorites, and the restaurants worth seeking out across the city. Jesse also talks about what goes into a great wing — the crispiness, flavor, quality of the meat, sauce balance, and, most importantly, execution. No paid placements, no sponsored rankings, and no pretending to love something because someone handed him a check. Just real food, real opinions, and a whole lot of chicken. We talk about his love of supporting local businesses, how he got started making food videos, what makes a restaurant stand out, and why Portland continues to be such a fun food city. And yes… no matter where the conversation goes, it always comes back to wings and sweet, sweet fried chicken. WTFU!
450,000 Dead Owls, a Fireball & $200K in LEGO?!
2026/09/17
Things are getting weird in the Pacific Northwest! On this episode of the PNW Podcast, we dive into four stories that are guaranteed to get people talking. First, we break down the controversial federal plan that could result in the removal of up to 450,000 barred owls over 30 years in an effort to protect threatened spotted owls. Then we get into Portland Weird Fest, happening September 19 at Oaks Park, featuring more than 60 vendors, bizarre competitions, live entertainment, and the return of the legendary Chicken Beauty Contest. Is Portland still weird? This might be the ultimate test. We also revisit the mysterious fireball that lit up the Pacific Northwest sky, with reports stretching across Washington, Oregon, Idaho and British Columbia. What exactly was flying overhead, and did anyone actually see it hit the ground? And finally, we tackle the wild $200,000 Oregon LEGO scandal involving a massive Star Wars LEGO collection, a disputed consignment agreement, lawsuits and the viral investigation by YouTuber Reckless Ben. There are still major questions surrounding the collection, its whereabouts and who is ultimately responsible. Four completely different stories, one very weird corner of the country. That's the PNW Podcast.
The Ducks Are Telegraphing Their Plays?! Plus HYROX & Fried Chicken
2026/09/16
On this episode of the PNW Podcast, we cover three very different stories from around the Northwest. We start with the wild story of a woman who made headlines after pooping her pants during a HYROX event, leading to a conversation about just how far people are willing to push themselves in the world of fitness and competition. Then it's all about food as Portland's Fried Chicken Week gets underway. More than 40 businesses are participating, with special dishes priced at just $10, giving us plenty to talk about—including which options sound like must-tries and whether $10 is still the sweet spot for a great Portland food deal. Finally, we dive back into the Oregon Ducks after their shocking loss to Oklahoma State. There are questions about whether the Ducks are telegraphing their offensive plays, with Oklahoma State linebacker Tate Romney saying the Cowboys noticed tendencies in Oregon's offensive line that helped them identify run versus pass plays. Was Oregon tipping off Oklahoma State? How much did that contribute to the upset? And can the Ducks clean it up before the schedule gets much tougher? It's another wide-ranging PNW Podcast covering fitness, food, college football and the stories everyone around the Northwest is talking about.
Oregon Ducks SHOCKED by Oklahoma State — What Happens Now?
2026/09/14
The Oregon Ducks suffered a devastating and unexpected loss to Oklahoma State, falling 39-31 in Stillwater in one of the biggest upsets of the young college football season. On this episode of the PNW Podcast, we break down what went wrong for Oregon, from the struggles on both sides of the line to the Ducks’ inability to slow down the Cowboys when it mattered most. But is Oregon’s season really in trouble? We look at the road ahead, the upcoming schedule, what the Ducks need to fix, and whether they can still put themselves in position to compete for a Big Ten title and potentially save their College Football Playoff hopes. We also turn our attention to Corvallis and the Oregon State Beavers, who may have found a new star. True freshman wide receiver Jesse Legree exploded against Texas Tech with 8 catches for 240 yards and two touchdowns, putting himself on the national radar and generating plenty of excitement around the Beavers. Fantasy Football Punishments, Dead Fish & The PNW’s E-Bike Problem
2026/09/10
The NFL season is finally here! Drew and Marcus kick off the latest episode of the PNW Podcast by talking about the beginning of the football season, the teams and storylines they’re watching, and, of course, fantasy football. We also dive into the sometimes brutal—and occasionally hilarious—punishments that fantasy football losers have to endure. In Lake Washington, nearly 2,000 fish died after getting too close to a power line running along the bottom of the lake. In Central Oregon, there’s a plea for residents to turn off unnecessary lights at night to help migrating birds safely make their journey. And finally, the battle to get kids to act responsibly on e-bikes continues, as communities across the PNW deal with concerns about safety, reckless riding, and how to keep young riders—and everyone around them—safe. Football, fantasy punishments, dead fish, migrating birds, and e-bike chaos—it’s another wide-ranging episode of the PNW Podcast you won’t want to miss!

Plus, we dive into the controversy surrounding fans at Providence Park and the Sports Bra after women wearing “Support Women’s Sports” shirts were reportedly asked to leave. What happened, why were the shirts considered offensive, and what does it say about the ongoing debate surrounding women’s sports? Sports, skunks, and a whole lot of Portland drama—it’s another episode of the PNW Podcast you won’t want to miss!
The Ducks Are BACK, I-5 Is CLOSING & Costco Has Rules
2026/09/07
College football is back, and Drew breaks down the opening weekend for both of Oregon’s biggest programs. The Ducks survived a tough Boise State team 34–27 behind a huge performance from Dante Moore, while also showing there’s plenty to clean up as the season moves forward. The Beavers didn’t get the win, falling 33–20 to No. 23 Houston, but there were plenty of positives to take away from their first game of the season. New quarterback Braden Atkinson threw for 376 yards, while freshman Jesse Legree exploded onto the scene with 136 receiving yards and a touchdown. There may be some things to build on in Corvallis. Then we turn our attention to Portland, where the I-5 southbound closure through the Rose Quarter begins Friday, September 11, and is expected to last about five weeks. Officials are warning that travel times could be two to three times longer than normal. So how are Portlanders supposed to survive this traffic nightmare? Plus, the kids are finally going back to school! We celebrate that magical time of year when parents get their freedom back, the house gets a little quieter, and suddenly you remember what it’s like to have a few hours to yourself. And finally, we tackle one of the most controversial subjects in the Pacific Northwest: the unwritten rules of Costco. How fast are you supposed to move? Can you stop in the middle of an aisle? How many free samples is too many? And why does everyone completely lose their ability to navigate a shopping cart the moment they walk through those doors? It's sports, Portland traffic, parenting and Costco etiquette — basically, everything you need to know about life in the Pacific Northwest!
