EPISODE 451: UNDERTONE
2026/08/21
Hell answers to us, for we are The Who Goes There Podcast! We're back! Earlier this year A24 released this 90 minute flick about a paranormal podcaster and her impaired co-host who take a deep dive into some anonymously sent audio files. And yes, of course our protagonist is dealing with some serious emotional issue, in this case being the caretaker of her bed-ridden/terminally ill mother... make sure to show pictures and little figurines of the Virgin Mary because that's thematic and scary doooooooood. The film promises slow-burn thrills, auditory dread and immersive sound design. Does it deliver? Do the character interactions which are MOST OF THE MOVIE feel natural and unforced and give us a reason to care? "Don't be afraid of the dark. Be afraid of the silence." It's The Who Goes There Podcast Episode 451!!! Join our Patreon to support the show! As a Patreon member you get the episodes early, bonus content, and access to our Discord. EPISODE 450: THE BONE TEMPLE and SEND HELP
2026/06/19
As orange rapist continues to appease his handlers and inches ever close to the gaping jaws of oblivion, the Mandalorian and Gulag is shown up in historic fashion by two indie horror movies, and it is glorious. But we digress, this episode is a double review of 28 YEARS LATER: THE BONE TEMPLE and the first Sam Raimi directed horror (horror comedy) film in 17 years, SEND HELP. "The others, my peeps -- I told them that you were Old Nick, but you aren't, and now they're expecting to meet you...and you're in a bit of a bind too, because if you can't help me with my problem, I'm going to force-feed you your own intestines until you can no longer breathe." EPISODE 448- PREDATOR: BADLANDS
2026/04/25
The 21st century has graced us with many questionable or misguided (or just f*****g awful) PG13 sequels, reboots, or remakes to the pantheon of 1980's scifi/horror/ action hybrid classics: 2004: Alien Vs Predator2009: Terminator Salvation2012: Total Recall2014: RoboCop2015: Terminator Genisys There's also quite a few which retained the R ratings of their predecessors, with varying results: 2003: Terminator 3: Rise of the Machines2007: Aliens Vs Predator- Requiem2010: Predators2012: Prometheus2017: Alien: Covenant2018: The Predator2019: Terminator: Dark Fate2022: Prey2024: Alien: Romulus This episode we discuss PREDATOR: BADLANDS, Dan Trachtenberg's follow up to Prey and the animated anthology Predator: Killer of Killers, both of which the three of us enjoyed quite a bit. Is it ruined by the Disneyfication? Does Trachtenberg pull off this PG-13 Predator film, the first to feature a Yautja as the protagonist, or does it join the trash pile of some prior attempts? "Welcome to the most dangerous planet in the universe, where everything is trying to kill you", it's the Who Goes There Podcast Episode 448!  Join our Patreon to support the show! EPISODE 447: THE BLACK PHONE 2
2026/03/14
This ep we get into THE BLACK PHONE 2. If you've missed Jorge reeeeeally not liking a movie and laying into it, you're in luck! We had a blast recording this episode, also discuss the 2025 video game awards nominees, and much more.  Imagine if you will, our glorious military industrial complex merging with the capabilities of advanced AI and unleashing an omnipresent surveillance state. Tonight we sleep under the watchful eye of drones roving overhead ready to spray fentanyl-laced piss on any dissenters below!  "I conjured this from my hate and from whatever memories Hell let me keep", it's the Who Goes There Podcast, episode 447!!! EPISODE 446- ALIEN: EARTH
2026/02/22
This episode we review the entire debut season of Noah Hawley's ALIEN: EARTH series; the good, the bad, the amazing, the baffling, the stuff that provokes reasonable comparisons to b******t in Jurassic World that we wish didn't exist, all of it!  "You used to be food, you know. Humanity. Your lives were short and filled with fear. Then your brains grew. You built tools and used them to conquer nature... But in the animal kingdom, there is always someone bigger, or smaller, who would eat you alive...", it's The Who Goes There Podcast Episode 446!!! Join our Patreon to support the show! EPISODE 445: NIGHT OF THE DEMONS
2026/02/06
This episode we get into the 2009 NIGHT OF THE DEMONS remake. Why? Because it's got f*****g Edward Furlong and because King Hans, benevolent lord of our Patreon, demanded it! This fine film also gives us the opportunity to revisit our thoughts on horror remakes of the 00's. "First, I'm gonna poke his pretty brown eyes out and then, I'm gonna f**k his brains out until they're spilling out of his ears. And then, right before he dies, right before he becomes one of us...*transforms into a demon* he shall know the suffering in death. Shut up, bitch!" It's the Who Goes There Podcast Episode 445!!! EPISODE 444: THE LONG WALK
2025/12/26
Happy holidays from the belly of the beast! This episode we review one of three Stephen King (AKA Richard Bachman) film adaptations this year, THE LONG WALK.It's set in a post-cataclysmic dystopian future where people volunteer for a grueling and dehumanizing endurance test with the hope of being compensated financially by the state which uses the ordeal to prop up national pride. What a nightmare, how does he come up with this stuff?"We have the means to return to our former glory. You boys are the answer. The Long Walk is the answer. When this is broadcast for all the states, your inspiration will continue to elevate our gross national product. We will be number one in the world again!", it's The Who Goes There Podcast Episode #444!Join our Patreon to support the show! EPISODE 443: WEAPONS
2025/12/20
Welcome to the new listeners and welcome back to everyone else!  This episode we discuss WEAPONS, writer/director Zach Cregger's much anticipated follow up to his 2022 breakout, Barbarian.  It involves a small town being ripped apart by the baffling disappearance of 17 children following a mysterious school tragedy, and...to say more would be a disservice. The film is currently available to stream on HBOMAX (or whatever we're calling it this week). "I can make your parents hurt themselves. I can make them hurt each other. I can make them eat each other if I want to", it's The Who Goes There Podcast episode 443! Join our Patreon to support the show! EPISODE 442: TOGETHER
2025/12/10
Well, well, well, here we go again. This episode we review the 2025 indie supernatural body horror film, TOGETHER.If the name and trailer weren't a hint, the movie traffics in themes of codependency, the blurring of self and identity, and commitment anxiety. Some of you may have seen it already, because you're dorks like us. But what did we in our collective wisdom think? You must listen and find out."I think something's happening to us. The pole, the thirst in your bones. I can't explain it but, we're sick.  Well, you know, complacency can sometimes simply be harmony. We spend our lives in search of the other half. If you think you found that, don't be so quick to let it go", it's the Who Goes There Podcast Episode 422! Join our Patreon to support the show! EPISODE 440: 28 YEARS LATER & BRING HER BACK
2025/10/14
Greetings haomies! As we march onward into techno/christofascist hell, this episode we review not one, but two of the year’s most highly anticipated genre films, 28 YEARS LATER and BRING HER BACK.  For those counting, it’s been 18 years since the 2007 sequel to 2002’s modern horror classic, 28 Days Later. In the years since, Danny Boyle has won an oscar and Alex Garland graduated from screenwriter to becoming a formidable director (and show creator) in his own right. What’d these two come up with for the long awaited sequel, 28 YEARS LATER, and what did the three of us think? It’s on Netflix currently if you’ve yet to see it or would like to give it a rewatch.  BRING HER BACK is the follow up to the film debut of brothers Danny and Michael Philipou, writer/directors of 2022’s breakout A24 horror hit, Talk To Me. How did the Brothers Philipou, of former youtube horror/comedy RackaRacka video fame, do in their sophomore effort? Bring Her Back just became available to stream on HBOMAX. "Some people believe the spirit stays in the body for months after death...the more you kill, the easier it gets. Don't feel bad about it. The infection takes away their minds -- it's got no mind, it's got no soul." It's The Who Goes There Podcast Episode 440!Join our Patreon to support the show! EPISODE 439: FINAL DESTINATION- BLOODLINES
2025/09/07
This ep we review the sixth film (and first in 14 years) of the Final Destination franchise, FINAL DESTINATION: BLOODLINES. Of course, this gives us an opportunity to rank our favorite kills in the franchise too."For the 1,500th time, no one gives a shit about your stupid little death curse, okay? So take a hint and leave us alone because death's not coming for our family." It's The Who Goes There Podcast Episode 439!Join our Patreon to support the show! EPISODE 438: THE RULE OF JENNY PEN
2025/09/01
This episode takes us into the despair and absurdity of dementia and old age in 2025's THE RULE OF JENNY PEN.  If you're going to explore the psychological horrors of mortality and aging it certainly helps to have actors like Jon Lithgow and Geoffrey Rush. The film is currently available to watch on Shudder."The world breaks everyone and afterward many are strong at the broken places. But those that will not break it kills. It kills the very good and the very gentle and the very brave impartially. If you are none of these you can be sure it will kill you too but there will be no special hurry", it's The Who Goes There Podcast Episode 438!!! Join our Patreon to support the show! EPISODE 437: SINNERS
2025/08/09
Welcome back! This ep we review Ryan Coogler's 2025 genre-hopping hit, SINNERS, and a whole bunch of other stuff. "There are legends of people... born with the gift of making music so true, it can pierce the veil between life and death. Conjuring spirits from the past... and the future. You keep dancing with the devil... one day, he's gonna follow you home."
