OMG Returns… as Cher?! | Loire Valley Cycling Chaos Continues
2026/04/22
OMG Part 6 — the Loire Valley cycling saga somehow gets even stranger. Jeff decides to hold onto OMG’s “missing” fanny pack until the end of the day, hoping to avoid another meltdown. But when he reaches the hotel, OMG is nowhere to be found — a problem, since he falls off his bike daily. Sophie, the hotel owner, is equally missing, so Jeff grabs his key, showers, and comes back downstairs to a scene. OMG has spent several minutes haranguing the local postmistress in broken English and even worse French about his “stolen” fanny pack. Sophie is now deeply concerned about his behavior… and his smell. When OMG finally reappears, Jeff hands over the fanny pack and orders him to shower immediately. An hour later, OMG descends the staircase, transformed, looking uncannily like Cher with gray hair. The reveal is so startling that Grumpy spews his beer all over Jeff. This episode continues the absurd, real‑life travel misadventures of a cycling tour through the Loire Valley, where every day brings a new OMG moment. Featuring: Jeff (the guide), OMG (the chaos engine), Grumpy, Mr. Personality, Sophie (hotel owner), and one very patient postmistress. Location: Loire Valley, FranceSeries: OMG — Oh My God, He Did What Now?

Call the Cops! OMG Suspects Identify Theft
2026/04/15
OMG is convinced he’s been pickpocketed at a Loire Valley bar. He demands Jeff “call the cops” before his identity is stolen because he watched a TV program with his mom about miscreants who did exactly that at bars. The panic escalates when he discovers he’s missing 12 euros, his birth certificate, and part of his driver’s license — but not his passport. Jeff lays out the options:Spend 120 euros to go back to Paris alone, or keep riding with the group while Jeff checks with the local police. OMG chooses to stay, mostly because he doesn’t want to spend the money on the train back to Paris. After pointing OMG in the right direction, Jeff stops by the bar — now a quiet morning café — and the bartender casually hands him OMG’s entire fanny pack, complete with all the “stolen” items. Jeff pays OMG’s bar tab and shakes his head when the bartender wishes him "bonne chance." This episode delivers: Loire Valley travel mishaps Identity‑theft paranoia Group‑tour comedy Lost‑and‑found chaos And Jeff’s ongoing attempt to keep OMG from self‑destructing. Perfect for listeners who love memoir‑style storytelling, travel disasters, and characters who cannot be invented.

OMG Gets Drunk but Not On His Beer
2026/04/08
In this episode of OH MY GOD: Misadventures in French Wine Country, Jeff thinks he’s getting a quiet night away from his unpredictable trio… until he walks into his favorite Loire Valley bar and finds them already there. Grumpy and Mr. Personality are doubled over laughing because OMG is drunk — not from ordering drinks, but from chugging the abandoned beer dregs of other patrons. Jeff realizes tomorrow is going to be a problem. He’s right. The next morning, OMG announces he can’t find his wallet, setting the stage for what could become a full‑blown French bureaucratic nightmare. Jeff braces himself for paperwork, police reports, and the kind of administrative chaos only France can deliver. This episode blends: Loire Valley travel mishaps Bar‑night comedy Group‑tour chaos Lost‑wallet drama in France Jeff’s ongoing battle to keep OMG alive and functional Perfect for listeners who love travel stories, humor, and the unpredictable charm of touring France with strangers.

OMG Reaches the Loire Despite Train Drama, Awkward Silences, and a Crash
2026/04/01
In Part 3 of OH MY GOD: Misadventures in French Wine Country, Jeff pulls off a miracle: getting four bikes onto a French train by taking them apart, stuffing them into bags, and staring down a conductor who definitely knows the rules… but apparently doesn’t enforce them. Welcome to train travel in France. Grumpy, Mr. Personality, and OMG settle in for the ride to the Loire Valley, but making conversation with OMG proves impossible. He communicates mostly through strange noises and monologues about beer, his mom, and Canadian TV — a combination that tests everyone's patience. When they finally arrive, Jeff announces that the hotel is only 30 meters away. OMG gears up like he’s about to ride the Tour de France, hops on his bike, pedals toward the hotel… and immediately crashes. This episode delivers: • Gearing up to go nowhere • French train travel shenanigans • Group-tour awkwardness at its most unusual • A spectacularly unnecessary bike crash Perfect for listeners who love travel stories, comedy, and the unpredictable magic of touring France with an odd group.

OMG In Paris: Twenty Questions, and Missed Trains
2026/03/25
In Part 2 of OH MY GOD: Misadventures in French Wine Country, Jeff the cycling‑tour guide faces his greatest challenge yet: convincing OMG that Paris — yes, Paris — actually has things to do. While Grumpy and Mr. Personality decide to enjoy a half‑day in the city, OMG bombards Jeff with twenty rapid‑fire questions about whether to stay in Paris or take an early train to the Loire Valley. After declaring there is “nothing to do in Paris,” OMG manages to make Jeff late for the train… and that’s when everything unravels. The conductor refuses to let Jeff board with bikes, sending Jeff all the way back to the tour office — a disaster that could’ve been avoided if he’d arrived just a few minutes earlier. This hilarious travel‑gone-wrong story blends: • Paris tourism mishaps • Loire Valley cycling adventures • French train drama • A guide’s patience pushed to the limit Perfect for listeners who love travel stories, comedy, and the unpredictable charm of group tours in France.

The Day Africa’s Anti‑Poaching Heroes Took Me Down
2026/03/18
In this week’s story, filmmaker Josh Porter takes us deep into Zimbabwe’s anti‑poaching frontline—where his camera crew captures a moment he’ll never forget. While documenting Ranger Leonard and his elite Malinois, Shinga, Josh volunteers to take part in a real takedown. What happens next is jarring, humbling, and reveals the extraordinary bond between ranger and dog in Africa’s fight against wildlife poaching. This behind‑the‑scenes moment from Josh’s cross‑Africa tuk‑tuk filmmaking journey shows the intensity of anti‑poaching work, the trust between handlers and their dogs, and the risks conservation teams face every day. If you care about wildlife protection, documentary filmmaking, or the raw reality of conservation work in Zimbabwe, this story hits hard. Dynamite, Fake Cats and A Poodle on the Chicken
2026/03/04
Jennifer K. grew up with the kind of childhood logic that only makes sense when you’re small, earnest, and absolutely convinced you’re prepared for anything. In this narrated collection of short memoirs, she shares three unforgettable stories from her early years—each one equal parts hilarious, heartfelt, and deeply human. First, there’s the family code for amusement parks and malls: if you get separated, don’t yell “Mom!”—yell “Dynamite!” Jennifer explains how that became the official emergency word and got used a lot. Then she tells the story of desperately wanting a cat… and being told to make one. Literally. Needle, thread, scraps of fabric, and a child’s determination came together to create an “artificial cat” she slept with for years. Today, as an adult, she’s never without a real, living cat by her side. And finally, the night she proudly cooked dinner for her siblings and her grandpa, only to discover their teacup poodle standing triumphantly on top of the chicken, devouring as much as possible. She met her grandpa at the door, holding a very juicy dog. The menu got changed to pizza. This episode blends humor, nostalgia, and the small, strange moments that shape who we become. Perfect for fans of memoir, family stories, and childhood chaos. Welcome to the Does This Happen to You show, where life's absurdities take center stage—told by the women and men who have lived them. The Surprisingly Modern Seduction Advice of Benjamin Franklin
2026/02/25
In this episode, I narrate Carlyn Beccia’s hilarious and surprisingly modern story about Benjamin Franklin—the Founding Father who also fancied himself a philosopher of seduction. From recommending older women as mistresses to insisting that beauty doesn’t matter, advocating for free love, surrounding himself with people who shared his passions, and preaching kindness above all, Franklin left behind more than inventions and political theory. He left relationship advice. Join me as we explore six lessons in seduction from America’s original ladies’ man. Perfect for listeners who love women’s wisdom, history with humor, and stories that make you rethink what you learned in school about Ben Franklin. Humorous Guide to Everyday Idiocy
2026/02/04
Ever wonder if you might be the idiot in the room? This comedic rant breaks down the everyday behaviors that reveal our inner moron — from microscopic “For Sale” signs to parking‑lot NASCAR, from sports‑fan meltdowns to parents who treat youth referees like war criminals. Along the way, we meet toll‑booth dollar‑throwers, left‑lane drifters, volunteer‑bashers, and the people who proudly rationalize all of it. Told with warm, wry, midlife‑chaos energy, this story by Max Klein is a hilarious guide to spotting idiocy in the wild… including in the mirror. This episode is perfect for anyone who loves relatable humor, social‑norm satire, and the kind of storytelling that makes you laugh and cringe at humanity. If you’ve ever yelled at a ref, driven 70 mph through a Walmart parking lot, or written a sign no human could read from a moving vehicle, this one’s for you. 5 Middle-Aged Fitness Fails That Still Haunt Me
2026/01/28
Middle age comes for all of us… but some days it arrives wearing steel‑toed boots. In this episode, we're taking you back to the lockdown era — that strange time when we were all trying to reinvent ourselves, stay sane, and maybe become “fitness people,” despite every shred of evidence to the contrary. Anna da Silva’s wickedly funny story walks through five deeply effective ways to humiliate yourself as a middle‑aged woman. We’re talking Joe Wicks workouts performed with the grace of a tranquilized moose, a tween who has mastered the art of silent judgment, and the kind of domestic chaos that makes you question every life choice that led you here. If you’ve ever tried to do something “for your health” only to end up sweating, swearing, and being emotionally dismantled by a child… settle in. This is a love letter to all of us who tried our best during a global crisis and still managed to embarrass ourselves spectacularly.
