It happened again. All Brad’s friends bailed on him so it’s just him and Gef talking about the upcoming AGM and a few CITY preseason notes. Listen to hear a preview of Saturday’s AGM and then plan on joining the Louligans at Schlafly to get more involved or just come out and have a few beers and talk soccer with like-minded fanatics.

Why does it matter? We’re here to tell you. This team has never faced a must-wing game before. There’s been some “we need to win” but never MUST win. And now we have one in Kansas. The season has been a resounding success, but the second season, the playoffs, are cutthroat and we did not look good in the first game. We talk about this, and monkeys at the zoo with soul.

That’s weird saying after all these years. But we’re not complaining. We talk about the monstrous tifo against Kansas, the last game, and the playoffs. I think I’ll keep saying that word because it’s weird to say. play. offs.

Well, we will be guaranteed at least one extra game if not more once the season ends. CITY has qualified for the playoffs. Yes, we are very much not used to saying “STL soccer” and “playoffs”. We talk about getting here in the last few games, the referees, and how we qualify for CCL if all goes well. Two home games left, lots of fun to be had on Louligan Street…come join us, get silly, make some noise. It’s kinda our thing.

Hey kids, maybe the form isn’t the best but we’re still on top of the Western Conference and in the hunt for the top seed in the playoffs. You better take a moment to appreciate how great we have it. If you’d have told us in March that the winning ways would continue, we’d be in first in the West and close to clinching a playoff spot in late August, we’d have giggled and probably asked what dispensary you went to. But we sit today, scoring without Klauss, and 2nd in the Supporters Shield standings. Stunning. We talk about this, the upcoming games, and take your questions. A short one since we’re…happy? Still?

Just our style, really. Between vacations, jobs, games, and all, it’s been a long time since we had a show. So we have a lot to cover…from the cash grab that is Leagues Cup, travel, the month off, and more. Poor Matt had to be with his family all that time. Thank god the kids start school in a few weeks. Unlike children, listen to us.

We’re at the halfway point in the season and CITY are still at the top of the WEST. We should just be happy and keep our mouths shut- but we like to talk. Another road win and the boys are putting up points to keep us rolling. Colorado heads to town Saturday and if everything goes as planned we should be able to show Kroenke what St. Louis support is like. Make some noise on Saturday. …at this time. It is nice being together again, and ready for the boys in pink to move past the poor showing against the Galaxy. Quad injuries abound at practice, but ours are good. No transplants, though. We also spend way too much time talking about Messi and the impact on MLS and Nottingham Forest. Confused? Us too. We usually are.
