Reviving in the Wilderness
2026/09/13
Can God prepare a table in the wilderness? Israel was rebuked for doubting it — and most of us still do. In this message, Pastor David traces what happens when God meets His people in desolate places, starting with Elijah fleeing into the desert after his greatest victory and ending with Jesus intentionally reclaiming the wilderness as a place of intimacy, provision, and encounter. What the enemy meant to be a place of isolation and fear, Jesus emptied of the devil's authority and filled with the voice of life — first praying there alone, then feeding thousands there. David gets personal about finding God in the lonely places — rocking twins at 2 a.m., navigating the early wilderness of marriage, learning that the Hebrew word for wilderness actually comes from a root that means "speaking from the heart." If you're in a season that feels dry, desolate, or stuck in the in-between, this message will challenge the assumption that God wants to get you out of it. He might be more interested in transforming the wilderness in you — uprooting the enemy's flags, setting His table right there, and filling the empty place with His voice.
From Surviving to Celebrating
2026/09/06
The children of Israel had an army at their backs and a sea in front of them — and God's instruction was not to fight harder but to be still. In this message, Catherine Reyes shares one of the most vulnerable stories of her journey as a mother: learning she was pregnant with their fourth child in four years while starting a business with no guaranteed income, receiving a frightening report about her baby's brain at the anatomy scan, and the Lord's firm, repeated word — "I will fight for you. You need only be still." She traces that same invitation through the Exodus story and into the present, exploring what it looks like to move from a slave mentality that performs and strives into the childlike dependence God is actually after. And then she goes somewhere unexpected: celebration. Not the kind that waits until everything works out, but the kind that marks what God has done right in the middle of the wilderness — even if it starts with something as small as cheering for yourself after making the bed. If you've been white-knuckling through a hard season, trying to be strong enough, strategic enough, spiritual enough to push through on your own, this message is an invitation to put it down and let Him fight for you.
The Wisdom of Joy
2026/08/30
Proverbs 8 paints a picture of wisdom that looks nothing like the stoic sage on a mountaintop. This wisdom was beside God as a master craftsman at creation — laughing, playing, delighting in humanity before a single person had done anything to earn it. In this message, Pastor David connects that picture to Jesus Himself — the wisdom of God — and asks what it means that creation emerged in an atmosphere of delight. He explores why true joy is inherently undignified, why preserving your dignity might be the very thing limiting the flow of obedience in your life, and how gratitude becomes the small step that moves us from where we are into the kind of joy that actually strengthens us. This isn't about manufacturing a feeling. It's about reorienting how you see the world you live in — and discovering that the God who made you is not stoic, distant, or somber. He's rejoicing. Over you.
Clearing Your Path of Distractions
2026/08/23
God has a path for you — and it's a path of truth, not just a path of effort. In this message, MaryEllen Swafford walks through Proverbs 4 like a recipe: listen carefully, meditate until it reaches your core, guard the affections of your heart, watch what you say, know who you are, stay fixed on where you're going, and be on watch for detours. She gets real about the distractions that don't look dangerous — the phone during quiet time with God, the mental to-do list that creeps in during worship, the argument on the way to church that steals the whole morning — and shares a story from her walking path about pine cones, a patient husband, and the Lord teaching her that sometimes He clears the way and sometimes He equips us to clear it ourselves. If you've been feeling a little off-track, a little distracted, or just a little too comfortable on a path that isn't quite His, this message is a gentle and honest invitation to stop, ask Him where you are, and let Him lead you back.
Our Ministry to the Lord
2026/08/16
We easily invite God into our situations — our needs, our requests, our crises. But at some point, the question shifts: what if prayer isn't just about entering into my situation with Him, but entering into His situation and focusing on His heart? In this message, Pastor David starts at the table in Bethany where Mary pours costly oil on Jesus' feet while everyone else argues about what the "real work" should be — and makes the case that sitting at His feet is the work. He unpacks what it actually means to minister to the Lord — not because He's insecure and needs our affirmation, but because we always become like the one we worship, and in beholding His glory, we become glorious. David challenges us to ask a different kind of question in our prayer time: What are you excited about right now? What makes your heart beat? How can I do it with you? If your time with God has started to feel transactional or familiar, this message is an invitation back to the place where vision, direction, and transformation all begin — His face.
Open to Joy
2026/08/09
God is anointed with gladness. He's acquainted with grief — but His nature is joy. In this message, Pastor David explores why joy isn't just a nice feeling but an actual force that heals, strengthens, and undermines the work of the enemy in our lives. He walks through Nehemiah 8, where the people of Israel hear God's word for the first time after exile and begin to weep — and Nehemiah's surprising response is not to let them stay there. The day is holy. So celebrate. Share. Eat the fat and drink the sweet. Repentance isn't measured by how deeply you grieve your sin but by how fully you surrender it. David gets personal about the subtle ways we block ourselves from joy — busyness, believing we don't deserve it, waiting for the circumstances to change first — and why choosing joy is less about forcing an emotion and more about adopting a posture that makes room for God to move. If you've been white-knuckling your way through a hard season and joy feels like a luxury you can't afford, this message might be exactly what the Father wants to speak over you.
Priests and Kings
2026/08/02
From the beginning, God's design was closeness — walking with His people under open skies, no intermediary required. But throughout scripture, we watch humanity keep adding distance. Let someone else hear from God. Let someone else be responsible. Let someone else carry the authority. In this message, Pastor David traces the priesthood from Melchizedek's bread and wine with Abram all the way through the law, the Levites, and the torn veil — and lands on the stunning reality that Jesus restored what was always the goal: a royal priesthood where every believer carries both the authority of a king and the servant heart of a priest. He gets honest about what it feels like to not feel qualified, why the enemy works so hard to make you feel illegitimate, and what shifts when you stop outsourcing your authority and start walking into rooms knowing what you carry. This isn't about "the church" as an institution changing the world. It's about you — a royal representative carrying the blessings of God Most High, ready to release them into whatever situation you walk into.
What Are You Building?
2026/07/26
Every person is building something — your heart, your family, your marriage, your calling — whether you're doing it on purpose or by accident. In this message, Pastor David walks through what Jesus actually meant when He talked about building on the rock, and it's not what most of us were taught in Sunday school. The foundation isn't just being saved — it's hearing what He says and doing it. From there, David unpacks the partnership God is inviting us into: He's the builder, but He's not building without us. He's looking for people who will check in with Him, build where His favor is flowing, and be willing to go back and let Him fix the one piece that's keeping everything else from working. He also shares honestly about the daily tension of building with what lasts versus what's easy — and why saying yes to your kids at the pool when you'd rather sit in the shade might be one of the most kingdom things you do all week. If you've been grinding and spinning your gears wondering why things aren't flowing, this message might reframe everything. The Lord is building. The question is whether you're building with Him.
It's All in the Name
2026/07/19
What we name things shapes what we experience from them. In this message, Pastor David explores the biblical weight of naming — not just what we call our children, but the meaning we assign to our trials, our identity, our circumstances, and even God Himself. He shares how years of insecurity trained him to sort every experience into a "bad bucket," and what shifted when the Lord began redefining his name — beloved, Christ-bearer, king — as a journey He was inviting David into. He walks through the story of Naomi trying to rename herself Mara while God quietly refused to agree with it, and gets vulnerably into what it looked like to declare life over his son Titus in the NICU instead of partnering with the fear that was screaming for attention. James says to count it all joy when you face trials — not find the silver lining, but name the whole thing joy. That's not denial. It's faith that says every tear is a seed, and the God who sees you now is already preparing the harvest. If you've been assigning the wrong name to what you're walking through — or to yourself — this message is an invitation to let Him rename it.
The Leaven of the Kingdom
2026/07/12
Jesus told His disciples to beware of the leaven of the Pharisees and the leaven of Herod — and they thought He was talking about bread. In this message, Pastor David unpacks what Jesus was actually warning them about: two counterfeit kingdoms that can quietly permeate a believer's life without them even noticing. The kingdom of comfort believes in God but lives as if self is on the throne — fascinated by Jesus but unwilling to be transformed by Him. The kingdom of fear earns and strives and performs, convinced that if the conditions aren't perfect, God won't show up. And then there's the kingdom of heaven — where we don't work for His favor but from it, where the bride gets ready not to make the groom come but because she knows He's already coming. David gets personal about what it looks like when these leavens creep in — through exhaustion, through religious habit, through emotions that convince us God must not be near because we can't feel Him — and invites us to ask the harder question: which leaven is in me right now? We pray this message stirs something in you that refuses to settle for comfort or fear when the kingdom of heaven is already inside you.
United
2026/07/05
Unity was so important to Jesus that He dedicated His final prayer before the cross to it — not that we would get our theology perfect, but that we would be one. In this message, Pastor David explores why unity is the container for everything else the Lord wants to pour out, why it's not the same thing as agreement, and why the blessing of God is already waiting in the place where His people learn to stay connected — even across deep differences. He unpacks the distinction between unity and agreement, why both matter but function differently, and what it looks like to bless people whose methods and beliefs challenge everything you hold dear. If you've ever wondered how to honor the image of God in someone you profoundly disagree with — or why it even matters — this message will give you language for it. We pray it draws you deeper into the heart of what Jesus prayed over all of us in the garden.
The Work of Our Hands
2026/06/28
What if the job you're in right now — the one that feels far from ministry — is exactly where the kingdom needs you? In this message, Pastor David breaks apart the false division between secular work and ministry and roots us in what Genesis reveals: God worked, called it craftsmanship, and then gave us the same mandate. He unpacks the Hebrew words for work and service, shares honestly from his own journey of wanting to leave business behind for "real" ministry, and walks through what it looks like to plant the right seeds in the right season — even when they're not the seeds you would have chosen. The message closes with a prayer from Psalm 90:17 that reframes everything: "Let the favor of the Lord our God be upon us, and establish the work of our hands." Whatever you're doing right now, it matters — and He wants to establish it.
Attributes of our Father
2026/06/21
The first thing the enemy attacked in Jesus after His baptism was His identity — "If you really are the Son of God." He does the same thing to us. In this Father's Day message, MaryEllen Swafford grounds us in who our heavenly Father actually is through His attributes — He loves, He forgives, He fills, He provides, He keeps His promises, and He is faithful — and invites us to live from that identity instead of from the wounds or expectations tied to our earthly parents. She gets personal about her own journey from feeling overlooked to hearing the Father say, "You have always been mine," and challenges us to extend that same forgiveness to our parents and to ourselves. Our earthly parents did the best they could with the tools they had. But our truest identity has always come from Him.
Walking in Love
2026/06/14
If a word can mean almost anything, eventually it means almost nothing — and that's what our culture has done to the word love. In this message, guest speaker Raul Reyes takes us back to the greatest commandment and sits with a question most of us don't ask ourselves honestly enough: do I really love God? He unpacks why biblical love can't be reduced to what we feel in a worship service, why Jesus insists that loving God and loving people are inseparable, and what it looks like to love your enemy without compromising truth or pretending evil is good. Raul is vulnerable about his own wrestle — seeing others worship with tears and wondering what's wrong with him — and brings it all the way to the uncomfortable edges of politics, division, and the people we've quietly written off. This message will challenge how you define love and where you've been drawing the line on who deserves it.
Growing in the Prophetic
2026/06/07
The testimony of Jesus is the spirit of prophecy. Which means every time you share what God has done — in scripture, in your life, in your week — the prophetic is already in the room. In this message, Catherine Reyes opens up a foundational conversation about what New Testament prophecy looks like when love is both the foundation and the covering. She gets real about the tension between wanting to step out and being afraid to get it wrong, offers practical bumpers for those just starting to use this tool, and walks through how to receive and steward prophetic words with wisdom.
