China Grove by Doobie Brothers
2025/11/21
Label: WB 7728
Year: 1973
Condition: M-
Price: $15.00
It's hard to find Mint or Near Mint copies of this 1973 classic these days, but I did! Note: This beautiful copy comes in a vintage Warner/Reprise Records factory sleeve. It has Mint labels and Near Mint vinyl and audio.
Too Late To Turn Back Now by Cornelius Brothers & Sister Rose
2025/11/20
Label: U.A. 50910
Year: 1972
Condition: M-
Last Price: $30.00. Not currently available for sale.
Note: This beautiful copy comes in a vintage U.A. Records factory sleeve. It has powerful, pristine Mint sound.
Thorn In My Side by Eurythmics
2025/11/19
Label: RCA 5177
Year: 1986
Condition: M
Price: $9.00
Originally released on RCA 5058. In this obscure single release, the Eurythmics tackled tuneful 1960s power pop and made it their own. I guess it's not what radio wanted from Annie and David at that time. This is a like-new copy of the RCA Gold Standard reissue.
Imagination by Quotations
2025/11/16
Label: Verve 10245
Year: 1962
Condition: M-
Price: $42.00
Here's a particularly beautiful copy of one of my favorite Doo Wop rarities from the early 1960's... the flip is great, too. By the way, this group made no albums, so this was a 45-only, non-album single. Note: This 45 record has Mint labels and very nearly Mint vinyl and audio. Check out the mp3 "snippet"!
She's About A Mover by Sir Douglas Quintet
2025/11/14
Label: Tribe 8308
Year: 1965
Condition: M-
Price: $20.00
Here's a beautiful copy of the single that Dave Marsh ranks at #491 in his list of the 1,001 greatest 45s of Rock'n' Soul. And don't neglect the terrific B side... also essential Sir Douglas Quintet! By the way, this was a non-album single until Tribe released a "Greatest Hits" LP in 1966. Fortunately, that LP contains both of these great tracks. Note: This 45 record has very nearly Mint labels. The vinyl and audio grade close to Mint as well.
I Want You Back by Jackson 5
2025/11/13
Label: Motown 1157
Year: 1969
Condition: M
Last Price: $18.00. Not currently available for sale.
Michael Jackson was unbelievably talented. Witness this, the greatest of all Jackson 5 singles, as well as their first, and the first of four consecutive #1 hits over the course of the next 10 months. All of this success falling squarely on the back of little 11-year-old Michael. What a talent! Of course, whoever is doing honors on the piano and guitar ain't half bad either... I mean, the opening few bars of this record, once heard, are not soon forgotten. How could anyone not love this song? I'm always thrilled to get a nice copy of this amazing single back into the store. Note: This beautiful copy comes in a vintage Motown Records factory sleeve. It has Near Mint labels and pristine Mint vinyl and audio. (This scan is a representative image from our archives.)
Fading Away by Bobby Taylor & The Vancouvers
2025/11/13
Label: Gordy 7069
Year: 1968
Condition: M
Price: $50.00
From a warehouse find, this is a new, unplayed stock copy with a drillhole, in a rare original picture sleeve. Yes, I know this is on a Motown label, but it's still in the sweet Philly style :-) The flip, incidentally, is even better than the A side and is closer to the Motown sound (have a listen to the mp3 snippet in our "jukebox"). "Fading Away" was first recorded in 1966 by The Temptations and was pressed as the B side of their classic hit "Get Ready." Note: Aside from the drillhole, this beautiful 45 record is pristine Mint. The cool picture sleeve has a drillhole as well, but that's about it's only notable flaw. (This scan is a representative image from our archives.)
Little Red Corvette by Prince
2025/11/12
Label: WB 29746
Year: 1983
Condition: M-
Price: $12.00
This is a terrific edited cut from the 5:03 LP version, and it's this tune that ranks the highest of all the Prince singles in Dave Marsh's Top 1,001 Singles list. And as if the A side weren't reason enough to own this classic single, the B side is one of those super-special, non-LP cut offerings Prince managed to throw around for free on his 1980s singles. Note: This beautiful copy comes in a vintage Warner/Reprise Records factory sleeve. (This scan is a representative image from our archives.)
Back On The Chain Gang/ My City Was Gone by Pretenders
2025/11/12
Label: Sire 29840
Year: 1982
Condition: M
Price: $16.00
Terrific, almost-retro, power pop hit, backed with the very dark but beautiful 'My City Was Gone,' which incidentally places at #949 in Marsh's top 1001. That B side is an edited version of the 5:14 album cut. Note: This beautiful 45 has no notable flaws, grading Mint across the board (Labels, Vinyl, Audio), and the picture sleeve is nearly flawless!
Paradise Tonight by Charly McClain and Mickey Gilley
2025/11/12
Label: Epic 04007
Year: 1983
Condition: M-
Price: $7.00
This is a beautiful stock copy, in its original Epic Records factory sleeve. This big 1983 Country hit always makes me smile... So catchy! Have a listen to the mp3 "snippet" if you don't know the tune. Despite light use the audio is Mint.
Nipple To The Bottle by Grace Jones
2025/11/12
Label: Island 99963 dj
Year: 1982
Condition: M
Last Price: $12.50. Not currently available for sale.
This is a new, unplayed promo copy, in its original Island Records factory sleeve. There were so many really, really great funk grooves laid down in the early 1980s! Where did they come from, and where have they gone? This one was from the amazing, rarely heard followup to Jones' hit "Pull Up To The Bumper," and really socks it to ya. It's another rare example of a woman basically telling her man to take a hike, and tough if he don't like it. :-) This promo has the "Short" edit of the 5:55 album track on one side (which is what appears on retail copies) and a somewhat longer "Long" edit unique to the promo on the other. Note: This 45 record has no notable flaws, grading Mint across the board (Labels, Vinyl, Audio). By the way, the audio is awesome... taking full advantage of the 45's ability to store so much more waveform information because of its faster spin and smaller diameter. (See our online book, "The Joy of 45 Collecting," for details.) The sound is very loud but crisp and clear as can be.
Rock Me Amadeus by Falco
2025/11/11
Label: A&M 2821
Year: 1986
Condition: M
Price: $9.00
The A side of this classic Synth-Pop single has the 'American Edit,' and the B side has the 'Canadian Version.' The mp3 snippet is of the Canadian edit. Both versions are specially edited and mixed from an 8:20 album track. Note: This beautiful Mint copy comes in a vintage A&M Records factory sleeve. The labels have a few bubbles
Angle Park by Big Country
2025/11/11
Label: Mercury 811450
Year: 1984
Condition: M
Last Price: $16.00. Not currently available for sale.
This is the limited-edition, first release that includes a full poster sleeve. This song was their second U.K. single, which went top 10 there. In the U.S., it was released after the less-but-still-wonderful "In A Big Country." An interesting factoid here is the magnificent B side, which was one of the two songs the group demoed originally for Virgin Records in 1981. It was never released on vinyl, except for this release, but it remains one of the the favorites of Big Country fans. The song was also left off the group's debut LP, "The Crossing," not appearing on an album in the U.S. until the DVD of "Crossing" came out in 1990. And here's yet one more bit of trivia: In the beginning, the group actually called itself "Angle Park!" Note: This beautiful 45 has no notable flaws, grading Mint across the board (Labels, Vinyl, Audio), and the picture sleeve is nearly flawless!
Jamaica by Bachman-Turner Overdrive
2025/11/08
Label: Mercury 74062 dj
Year: 1979
Condition: M-
Price: $10.00
This terrific BTO single never saw the light of day on radio airwaves in 1979, unfortunately, but you can be sure it would have been a huge hit back in their mid-1970s heyday. This promo copy has the regular 4:06 album version on one side and a 3:55 "Edited Version" on the other... presumably cut to come just under that four-minute warning marker. This beautiful copy has pristine Mint sound.
Baby Blue by Badfinger
2025/11/08
Label: Apple 1844
Year: 1972
Condition: M-
Price: $14.00
Was there ever a more perfect power pop single? Oh, I suppose so, but this one sure helps define the genre framed by the Beatles and other Brit-Poppers. Note: This beautiful copy comes in a vintage Apple Records factory sleeve. It grades close to Mint across the board (Labels, Vinyl, Audio). (This scan is a representative image from our archives.)
