Fear of Change Why do we resist change… even when we know we need it?And what if the very thing we’re afraid of is where God is already working? Fear of Death What happens when the fear of death becomes real?And what do you do when the weight of life feels like too much to carry? In this message, we kick off the series Brave: What Faith Does to Fear by confronting one of the deepest fears we all face—the fear of death. Through 1 Corinthians 15, we discover that Jesus didn’t just come to comfort us in death… He came to defeat it. From the very beginning, humanity has been trying to cover shame, manage sin, and carry burdens we were never meant to hold. Station of Crucifixion Was the cross chaos… or was it intentional? From the outside, it looks like everything is falling apart—violence, betrayal, mocking, and death. But what if every detail was unfolding exactly as planned? In this message, we walk through the crucifixion in Luke 23 and John 19 and uncover something powerful: nothing about the cross was random. From Jesus’ prayer of forgiveness, to soldiers gambling for His clothes, to the sign above His head, to a dying criminal finding paradise—each moment was foretold, fulfilled, and deeply intentional. Station of Warning How does the entire story of the Bible lead to a warning spoken by Jesus on the road to the cross? And what happens when a nation or a people mistake religious identity for real obedience to God?  In this message we step into the next moment in the Stations of the Cross as Jesus speaks to the women of Jerusalem in Luke 23. While the crowd mourns His suffering, Jesus turns the focus away from Himself and warns them that judgment is coming—not because faith itself is ending, but because the religious system they trusted was about to collapse. Station of Judgement What happens when truth threatens your expectations? And what do we do when the Jesus in front of us doesn’t match the Jesus we prefer? In Week Three of The Stations of the Cross, we step into the Station of Judgment. From the council at daybreak to Pilate’s courtroom and the shouting crowd, we watch motivated reasoning unfold in real time. The verdict is chosen before the evidence is heard. Religious leaders defend power. Pilate protects position. The crowd demands a Messiah who matches their anger. Barabbas, the guilty son of the father, walks free. Jesus, the true Son of the Father, stands condemned. This message explores how we do the same—politically, relationally, spiritually—when identity feels threatened and control feels challenged. Station of Denial Do you feel the moment you used to be bold, and then suddenly the room got warmer, the questions got sharper, and your courage got quieter? In this week’s Station of Denial (Luke 22:54–62), we step into the courtyard where Peter follows Jesus at a distance, sits by the fire, and over the span of hours denies Him three times, until the rooster crows and Jesus turns to look straight at him. This isn’t a story about how to “try harder,” it’s a sobering look at how convictions often stop where discomfort starts, and how self-confidence collapses when the pressure gets personal. But it’s also a story of mercy: failure doesn’t have to be a full stop, and even in the moment Peter breaks, Jesus is already holding him with prayer. As we walk the Stations with intentional fasting and surrender, we quiet our appetites long enough to face the question honestly: when the heat rises, do I stand with Jesus, or do I keep my distance? The Station of Betrayal This message begins our 6-week conversation entitled “The Stations of the Cross”. The cross is not a relic of religion but a revelation of relationship, and the Station of Betrayal reveals how deeply Jesus enters human suffering. In Gethsemane, Jesus chooses surrender, trust, and obedience, even as He is betrayed by someone close.
