Jenn Nangle the Queen of Screams
2026/09/11
Horror Hostess, Jennifer Nangle haunts our chapel tonight! When she is not Malvolia, the Queen of Screams, this Writer, Director, Producer, Cinematographer, Actress and the star of her own arena, is the definition of charm. Meet Jenn Nangle, the lovely light that can brighten up an entire convention with a smile and enlighten a room with her charisma. Originally from Boston, a student of the Meisner Technique, she majored in Theatre at Niagara University and won the Best Actress Award at the Massachusetts Drama Festival. When she was not busy as the horror hostess, Demoness Malvolia, she was working on her own productions like Guides WebSeries and her own film/fest, Body Count. Starring in films 10/31, and 10/31 Part 2, Amityville in the Hood, Bearry, and many others, Jenn Nangle also executive produced The Dark Web Tapes, showing her talents on both sides of the camera and the pen! After meeting her, you'll understand that not much can stand in the way of this admirably driven woman with more victims up her sleeves than her Malvolia can count! Dave and Jess caught up with her at Grossfest 2026 and brought her home for you! Aren't we sweet? -tasting. Learn more about your ad choices. Visit megaphone.fm/adchoices
Radio Nostalgia with Paul Dangelo
2026/09/01
Radio used to be about journalism, responsible storytelling, educated writers avoiding libel, and not just script reading. Meet Professional Sportswriter, Paul Dangelo, and hear his musical tales from the time of Frank Zappa, The Turtles, and classic progressive 70's rock. Mr. Dangelo was at the rehearsal concert for the Talking Heads, just before they filmed the epic Stop Making Sense. If that is not enough bragging rights, he also talks about his strangely coincidental meet-up with Don King, and his odd involvement at the Larry Holmes vs. Renaldo Snipes (1981) at Pittsburgh's Civic Arena and his work for the press for Super Bowl XIV! You may be hearing more of him, in the future, as we showcase Paul Dangelo and his stories for the amazing sports podcast, JD Talkin' Sports. Learn more about your ad choices. Bastard Momentum
2026/07/11
How long does it take to get to the center of a Tootsie Pop? Good indie films work the same way- A slow buzzing build to a possible crescendo of popularity! Or maybe, you just take a damn bite! Soundtrack Engineer and Musician, Chris Carbone joins later on for a talk on the independently funded and created IRON LUNG horror film and its apparent success. In the background feel as though you are isolated, submerged in a sea of blood with Carbone's creepily coagulating music from Hemwick. Lets talk some horror comics from Dark Horse as well as some indie comics and books. There is a book about QUINT!? All to the rock of The Gasolines, pumpin' out the riffs! Scoring the Gloom with Chris Carbone
2025/12/20
Ever wonder where all those creepy tones, spine shaking rattles and sudden chilling breezes from black alleyways resonate from? Inspired from splatter films and industrial bands that were quaking your local punk club, Hemwick is here, haunting the Burgh, influencing movie makers and musicians alike. Chris Carbone, the sound engineer, musician and soundtrack designer is a sonic wielder of the macabre- frightfully evident as his pieces of music tell the tales from the shambling sites' point of view, encompassing a vision of the dark that is haunting the very abandoned buildings and sites that are, indeed, his drawing board. There are shrills spanning in the pitch, and Mr. Carbone provides. Learn more about your ad choices. Visit megaphone.fm/adchoices
