Part 23 - How to Discern the Voice of God
2026/09/28
This week Tom Scrivens continues our journey through Acts with a message on discerning the voice of God. God has decisively spoken through creation and supremely through sending his son Jesus. We have the bible as the authoritative word of God but he also continues to speak to individuals and churches by his Spirit today.
How do we recognise his voice, distinguish it from our own thoughts, and respond wisely? Tom explores the biblical gift of prophecy, the importance of testing what we hear, and the need to make space for God to speak as a church, encouraging us to eagerly desire the Spirit’s gifts while growing in humility, wisdom and discernment.
Part 22 - Shepherds in the flock of God
2026/09/21
In this message, guest speaker Stef Liston takes us through Acts chapters 19 and 20 and the story of Paul in Ephesus. With a particular focus on what it means for elders to shepherd God’s people, Stef explores the call for all of us to watch over our own lives and care for one another, as well as the call for elders to lead with humility, guard the church and remain faithful to Jesus.
Part 21 - We Need to Talk
2026/09/14
In this message, Tom Scrivens takes us through Acts chapters 17 and 18 where we see Paul’s encounters with radically different people and cultures as he proclaims the gospel. How do we talk about Jesus in a world where many people have completely different starting points from us? As followers of Jesus, we are called to understand the people around us without changing the unchanging gospel, to speak about Jesus without fear, and to remember that it is God who transforms hearts. We need to talk.
Part 20 - The Great Mission of God
2026/09/09
Tom Scrivens takes us into Acts 16 where we see Paul and his friends taking the good news to Philippi. In this message we are encouraged that God will give us all that we need as we orientate our lives around his great purposes in the world.
Part 19 - The Grace of God Brings Unity
2026/08/25
Acts 15 brings us to a pivotal moment in the story of the early church. As more and more Gentiles respond to the gospel, the growing church faces a significant question: what does it really mean to belong to God’s people? As the apostles and elders gather to wrestle with this together, we see the gospel defended, the church learning how to live in unity, and a beautiful picture of the freedom and responsibility that come with following Jesus.
Part 18 - A Church with a Big Heart, Big Vision
2026/08/17
Can a prayer meeting change the trajectory of a church, even a whole continent? In this message, Tomi Oyebadejo unpacks the story of the church in Antioch in Acts 13 and 14, where a gathering of leaders in prayer became the moment God set apart Saul and Barnabas for a mission that would change the world.
The Antioch church had a big heart and a big vision, they were deeply devoted to God, generous in sending their best, and willing to step out in faith to see the gospel reach the nations and we want to be the same.
Part 17 - The God Who Cannot Be Stopped
2026/08/10
This week, Bram Cross unpacks Acts 12 and how God Is unstoppable. Bram explores how, in response to this, we must pray, trust in the Lord who is sovereign and act instead of being passive.
Part 16 - God at Work Through it All
2026/08/04
In this message Tom Scrivens explores the truth that God is always at work, even when we cannot see what he is doing. Looking at Acts 11 and the story of the early church in Antioch, we see how God brings good out of suffering, works through ordinary people, and builds a beautiful church marked by his grace, based on the word of God, filled with the Holy Spirit and with a generosity and a passion to make Jesus known. If you are facing hardship, uncertainty or simply wondering where God is in everyday life, this message will point you to the hope that God is not absent or distant, but actively working through it all for his glorious purposes.
Part 15 - The Gospel Breaks Through
2026/07/27
Tim Virgo takes us into Acts Chapter 10 where we meet a man called Cornelius and Peter has an extraordinary vision. In this message we see that the gospel (the good news) of Jesus is powerful to make us clean and it's powerful to break down prejudice in our hearts. Ultimately it's the power to save that the nations of the world need to know.
Part 14 - How a Life Can Be Transformed
2026/07/20
In this message, Tom Scrivens explores one of the most dramatic stories in the Bible: the transformation of Saul of Tarsus, a man determined to destroy the church who instead encounters the risen Jesus and is changed forever. Through Saul's remarkable conversion, we discover how God pursues people long before they surrender, how his grace can reach even those who seem furthest from him, and how he delights to use ordinary believers for extraordinary purposes. Whether you're exploring the Christian faith or have followed Jesus for many years, this message will help you see that no one is beyond the reach of God's grace.
Part 13 - Following Jesus = Life
2026/07/13
In this sermon Gary Dean explores Acts 8:26–40, unpacking Philip’s encounter with the Ethiopian eunuch to reveal how the Holy Spirit leads believers into lives of adventure, obedience, and purpose. Part 12 - A Church Scattered
2026/06/29
In this service from the Living Church series, Joel Glover explores Acts 8, revealing how God transformed persecution into gospel advance through the power of the Holy Spirit. Discover how ordinary believers like Philip were empowered to bring hope, healing, and joy wherever they were scattered. Be encouraged to trust God's sovereignty, surrender your heart, and live boldly for Jesus wherever He sends you.
Part 11 - All Flame: Stephen's Call to Purposeful Living
2026/06/22
This week Tom Scrivens looks at the life of Stephen, one of the early church's most courageous and influential figures. In a culture where many people are searching for meaning and purpose, this message explores what it means to live with conviction, serve wholeheartedly, and discover the bigger story that your life is part of.
Part 10 - Christian Courage
2026/06/17
Tim Virgo speaks on the next passage in Acts, unpacking the passage of Peter and the apostles speaking against opposition. These were ordinary people who trusted in God to speak up and stand firm in their belief and to share the gospel no matter the opposition.
Part 9 - Dealing with Image Obsession
2026/06/08
Tom Scrivens takes us into Acts chapter 5, where the early church faces one of its most sobering moments with the tragic story of Ananias and Sapphira. In a church marked by rapid growth and radical generosity a hidden danger emerges: the desire for cultivating image over integrity. This passage confronts us with the seriousness of hypocrisy, the reality that God cannot be deceived, and the call to live before him in the right kind of fear. Far from being a passage for us to avoid, this scripture helps us rediscover the transforming power of living honestly before God.
