The Legendary Ladies are three Millenials with a passion for pop culture, storytelling, and media in all its forms. From television to comics, Taylor Swift to horror films, script to screen, the hosts work to share thoughtful conversations beyond the scope of your average 'watch and review' podcast. Settle in and join Amy, Kat, and Morgan wherever you listen to podcasts! Looking for The Legends of Tomorrow Podcast? You found it! Or rather, the rebranded version. After The Legends of Tomorrow was cancelled, the hosts chose to honor the loyalty of their fans by continuing to have conversations about the things we know our Legendary Listeners will enjoy. And don't worry, we promise to lay out at least a few LoT episode throwbacks a year. Especially cause AvaLance has a special place in all our hearts. What Do We Expect for Heated Rivalry Season 2?
2026/01/06
Is it just us, or is *everyone* talking about Heated Rivalry?! Well, hopefully it's not just us, because on this week's duo ep of the Legendary Ladies Podcast, Kat and Amy return to discuss the entire season of the hit HBO show. They chat about how the pacing of the show created a world where fans got just what they wanted, without there ever being a point of "too much of a good thing", how the characters evolved of the season, and what predictions they have for season two. They also discuss how uh, well, just like a lot of fans who had never really been a fan of the sport, they might like hockey now...

Why Wicked Act 2 Works Better Than Wicked: For Good?
2025/12/20
It's the episode you've been waiting for! The Legendary Ladies finally get a chance to sit down and talk about Wicked: For Good. Amy, Kat, and Morgan (who were simply agog and obsessed with Wicked Part I) have plenty to discuss, including the most important point - did Part II hold up? The hosts chat about whether or not the general public vs. theater fans could approach the movie differently, as an "Act II" rather than simply another movie. They also talk about the lack of a "viral" factor - how come, a month after Part I, the Loathing choreography was still making the rounds around the internet, but 3 weeks after Part II, the world seems to all but moved on from Wicked. Finally, the hosts give their honest opinions about the film, the performances, and the phenomenon in general.

Returning to Spartacus: Can House of Ashur Live Up to it's Predecessor? - Pilot Pod
2025/12/13
Attend mind towards glorious task - and listen to the new episode of The Legendary Ladies Podcats, where Kat and Amy dive into the new Spartacus series: Spartacus: House of Ashur. The hosts approach the review of episode 1 from different perspectives - Kat as entirely new viewer, and Amy as a long-time fan, allowing the Ladies to discuss whether the new series is inherently accessible for a new audience, and if it is, does it capture a first time watcher effectively. Amy and Kat also chat about the challenges facing the new series, share thoughts about the [current] lack of Roman elite, and debate whether Ashur was the right character to resurrect from the grave.  All this and more on this week's episode.

Heated Rivalry PilotPod: Was It, Quite Possibly, Perfect?
2025/12/07
At the internet's behest, Kat and Amy sat down to watch the first episode of "Heated Rivalry", the queer sports series that is taking HBO Max by storm. The Legendary Ladies step into the show blind, with only a marginal idea of what they were getting into - and they were absolutely thrilled. The hosts chat about how the series feels like a genuine translation of a book to screen, the tasteful artistry of the sexual depictions, and discuss the queer aspects of the show that can invite audiences of all types to consume the series.

PilotPod: Is Yellowjackets Cannibalism Mystery Too Brutal?
2025/11/22
The Legendary Ladies are going to New Jersey! Well, 1996 New Jersey. As requested by one of our fans, we are doing a PilotPod for Yellowjackets, which has the added fun of existing in the [sort of] home town of Morgan's husband. Amy and Morgan chat about the pilot, asking whether or not the show captures you enough to keep watching, discuss if this is a show better read than watched, and talk about the dual timelines of the show.   All this and more (including a vivid description of the time Amy broke her leg...sorry) on this week's episode. Next episode? WICKED. Is there something you want us to cover? Exploring Guillermo Del Toro's Frankenstein From the Mind of a Theater Nerd
2025/11/15
It's time for Amy's spooky season pick - and we don't really mind that it is halfway through November. As anyone who listens to the podcast (or knows Amy at all) could guess, she was so excited to watch Guillermo Del Toro's Frankenstein; it is not, however, Kat's cup of tea (again, as you all should know). But that doesn't really matter, because as it turns out, Amy can talk about the film for literally 45 minutes almost entirely on her own. It's a fascinating look into the brain of two storytellers, one who loves gothic horror, and the other who may not love, but deeply respects it. Explore the anagories, deep dive into the nuance of Intention, and join the hosts as they explore the film that Guillermo Del Toro has been waiting to make since his childhood.

Pilot Pod: Should You Watch The Diplomat On Netflix?
2025/11/08
Join The Legendary Ladies (sans Morgan) for a quick pilot-pod of The Diplomat, starring Kerri Russel and Rufus Sewell. A show that Amy has watched all three seasons of, she wasn't quite sure that Kat would be interested. Tune in, and find out if Kat is intrigued enough to keep watching, whether or not the hosts think Gen Z will be interested in political dramas, and why Amy may just go back and watch the West Wing....again. Al this and more on this week's pilot pod! Next week? FRANKENSTEIN.

10 Cloverfield Lane: Is The Ending Predictable?
2025/10/31
The Legendary Ladies are back with a legendary pick for Kat's spooky season movie choice. This week, Amy, Kat, and Morgan review 10 Cloverfield Lane which, despite being released almost 10 years ago, one of the hosts had never seen. The ladies discuss whether or not the story was predictable, if being a clearly labeled part of the Cloverfield saga helped or hindered believability, and if the ending ruined the film. They also realize that Amy...might like horror films?    All this and more on the second of their Spooky Season picks.   Want to hear episodes early? Sinners: Perfect As Is - Or Ready For a Sequel?
2025/10/25
The Legendary Ladies are back with one of their best Spooky Season's yet! For Morgan's pick, the hosts watched Sinners (some when it came out earlier this year, and some the night before they recorded). The ladies discuss what made Sinners such a successful film, what it means to have the name of Ryan Coogler on your project, the power of music in filmmaking, and whether or not Sinners needs a sequel (which, if it happens, should absolutely be named Saints).

Pilot Pod: Is The Hunting Wives TV Show Better Than The Book?
2025/09/23
They are BACK!! On this week's The Legendary Ladies Podcast, Amy, Morgan, and Kat return from their summer hiatus to review Netflix's "The Hunting Wives" (which, incidentally, was exactly nothing that Amy thought it was). The trio discuss the differences made from the book to the series, what about the show makes it so watchable, and discuss the power of the queer aspect of the show. The hosts also share a special encounter from a fan over the summer!

Is Miley Cyrus' Something Beautiful A Commercial Hit?
2025/06/04
The Legendary Ladies are back with something beautiful - a new episode discussing Miley Cyrus' new album! Amy, Kat, and Morgan dig into some of the lore and history of Miley Cyrus, share their thoughts on "interludes", and pick their top 3 songs on the album. They also get into an interesting conversation about the difference between streaming or shuffling an album, and listening to it to completion on a disc. They ask the question - does streaming change the fundamental art behind the compilation of an album? Does listening the album while watching the lyrics play on Amazon Music harken back to the days of reading lyrics on a CD book? And can visual albums add to the story of an album - and does that change the interpretation behind an album?  All this and more on this week's The Legendary Ladies Podcast!

Is Another Simple Favor TOO Campy?
2025/05/16
It was no simple affair to get their schedules to line up - but it was worth it for Another Simple Favor! All three Legendary Ladies are back at it to review the Amazon Prime's buzzing film starring Anna Kendrick and Blake Lively. Amy, Kat, and Morgan dive into the film and find that they have different opinions on the film…which might have something to do with the fact that one of them *cough* Amy *cough* hadn't seen the original. Can you still enjoy Another Simple Favor without the first Favor? Is there too much camp in Capri, or is the campiness the vermouth for a perfect martini? Does the [perceived] drama between Anna Kendrick and Blake Lively seep into the film? All this and more (including a display of the host hats, and a history lesson for Kat about a completely irrelevant period of time) on this newest episode of the Legendary Ladies Podcast!  Enjoy the episode? Does The Wedding Banquet Work as a Queer Comedy?
2025/05/05
Have you heard of the queer dramedy The Wedding Banquet? Kat and Morgan managed to see the queer dramedy starring Bowen Yang, Kelly Marie Tran, Lily Gladstone and Han Gi-Chan during it's VERY short run. We talk about what worked for us, what didn't, and what we thought about that twist. Was one of the characters in a comedy and another in a drama? Is bird watching a real job? We dive into all these questions and more. Plus, we discuss how the release schedule for this movie did it no favors and how studios need to better support queer movies so we can get more of them.    What did you think of The Wedding Banquet?  Comment below!   Support Kat, Morgan, and Amy by subscribing to their Patreon to get exclusive access to after-show chats, extra episodes, deleted scenes, and ways to join in live on the show! Does Black Mirror's Queer Hotel Reverie Bring the Romance?
2025/04/26
Queer romance in the time of AI? Kat and Morgan tackle the gayest episode of the recently released Black Mirror Season 7 in this duo episode. We chat about what worked and what didn't in Hotel Reverie, starring Issa Rae, Awkwafina, and Emma Corrin. We discuss whether this unconventional love story worked for us or if it was a bit too rushed. We also compare it to Black Mirror's beloved queer love story, San Junipero. Would we check back into Hotel Reverie? Listen and find out! What did you think of Hotel Reverie? Was it as good as San Junipero? Comment below!
