Dear Prince Harry, forget it, they aren't letting you back, hope Meghan's podcast does well
2024/02/26
With a lot of Royal stories there will be multiple versions, but for this one, one thing seems clear. Harry has burned the bridge. A friend of William’s told The Daily Beast: “I think William is particularly grateful things are so good now because it’s fair to say the relationship between William and his father when he was younger was strained. William and Harry had an extraordinary upbringing, with the trauma of their mother’s death overshadowing everything. Charles was this old-fashioned, quite distant figure who seemed much more interested in work and duty and what the press thought of him than parenting. That forged an incredibly strong bond between Harry and William, which was why it was such a shock when Harry turned on him so publicly.

Should Prince William keep his mouth shut? Suits star "intimidated" by Meghan Markle
2024/02/23
After a week of good press for Prince William, some corners are wondering if the monarchy should stay out of politics. Patrick J. Adams, known for his role alongside Meghan Markle in "Suits," has admitted to feeling "intimidated" at the thought of reaching out to the Duchess. The Canadian actor, who portrayed Meghan's on-screen partner for seven years, shared his apprehensions with Radio Times, expressing concern over navigating the boundaries that have formed since their time on the show. Reflecting on their past connection, Adams revealed, "After our children were born, there were some texts sent and gifts sent, but I guess I'm a little scared. I think it's pure fear."

Prince William getting good reviews as fill-in King, Meghan Markle wore £44,000 worth of clothes in Canada
2024/02/22
Prince William is having a good week, getting lots of good reviews. On Wednesday the future King distributed honors at an investiture ceremony at Windsor Castle. This came just a day after he made a powerful appeal for peace in the Middle East. Notable figures such as "Game of Thrones" actress Emilia Clarke, Wetherspoons founder Sir Tim Martin, and former chancellor Sir Sajid Javid were among those recognized by the Prince of Wales. Emilia, acclaimed for her role in "Game Of Thrones," and her mother, Jenny, recieved MBEs for their contributions through SameYou, a charity dedicated to aiding brain injury recovery. The charity holds personal significance for Clarke, who has survived two brain haemorrhages. Post-ceremony, Clarke shared her awe and gratitude, noting the unexpectedly enchanting experience of the event. She praised the Prince of Wales for his warmth and approachability, stating, "His Royal Highness William was just delightful and made us feel so comfortable." Jenny Clarke laudedWilliam's thorough understanding of SameYou and its mission, hinting at a playful moment where she almost invited the Prince to join the charity's board. Emilia humorously remarked, "I thought she was going to ask him to be on the board of trustees, but she didn’t," to which her mother playfully responded, "I nearly did." William's solo appearance at the BAFTAs on Sunday night has drawn praise, with royal expert Angela Levin highlighting his potential as a future king. She told GB News, "The contrast between him and his own brother couldn't be more stark. Well, he's so dignified, he was appearing as if nothing was wrong. He didn't want to spoil it for other people." "He didn't want to look harassed or miserable or concerned, he wanted to be in that job. He's been principal since 2010, and he wanted to do what is expected of him, his shoes shone brilliantly." "He looked very smart. He was smiling and he was very respectable. And you think if he's an heir to the throne, that's absolutely brilliant. Particularly given the fact that his wife is still recuperating at home from a major operation and that his father has been diagnosed with cancer," Meanwhile: During Meghan’s recent visit to Canada, the Duchess of Sussex displayed a stunning array of fashion, with her outfits totaling over £44,000 in value. In just the initial 12 hours of their trip, Meghan dazzled onlookers by donning outfits valued at £8,000.

Prince William addresses Israel-Hamas, Prince Harry serenaded by Michael Buble
2024/02/21
Prince William issued a statement about Israel and Hamas. It reads: “I remain deeply concerned about the terrible human cost of the conflict in the Middle East since the Hamas terrorist attack on 7 October. Too many have been killed. I, like so many others, want to see an end to the fighting as soon as possible. There is a desperate need for increased humanitarian support to Gaza. It’s critical that aid gets in and the hostages are released. Sometimes it is only when faced with the sheer scale of human suffering that the importance of permanent peace is brought home.” “Even in the darkest hour, we must not succumb to the counsel of despair. I continue to cling to the hope that a brighter future can be found and I refuse to give up on that.” As Prince William arrived at the British Red Cross headquarters, he was briefed on the humanitarian efforts being made in the Gaza region. During his visit, he participated in a video call with teams on the ground who are actively involved in the humanitarian response efforts in Gaza.In a forthcoming event, the Prince is scheduled to engage in a dialogue at a synagogue with young individuals from various communities. These young advocates are actively working against hatred and antisemitism. Specific details about this upcoming engagement are currently withheld from the public. Royal expert Ingrid Seward explains it was a "most unusual" statement, telling the Mirror: "William obviously feels passionate about the effects of the Israeli-Hamas conflict. Although this is not the first time he has spoken out with such feeling, it is his strongest declaration yet. "Last October Kensington Palace released a carefully worded statement on behalf of both the Prince and Princess of Wales, expressing their distress at the horrific events. Since then, William has been following events on a daily basis and seen the horrors that many innocent young families on both sides of the conflict have had to endure. "But by dint of his position as Prince of Wales, William cannot make his political views public. But he can make subtle hints as to exactly how strongly he feels. Releasing such a pointedly worded statement today is most unusual and illustrates just how desperate William feels. "It certainly reminds us William is a force to be reckoned with. He refuses to hide behind the mantle of his royalty. There are things he wants to do and needs to say." A spokesperson for the Prime Minister said William’s statement ”is consistent with the Government position, and we welcome that intervention. It is important that we speak with one voice as a nation."

Is Meghan Markle trying to be Taylor Swift's friend? Do you want a Prince Andrew t-shirt?
2024/02/20
Here’s a fashion statement if there ever was one, emphasis on statement. You can now show your support for…wait for it….Prince Andrew, by wearing a special t-shirt. Lady Victoria Hervey, a former acquaintance of Prince Andrew, has launched a line of T-shirts branded with the word "Faked" across a contentious photograph involving the Prince. This image, which has played a crucial role in the royal's fall from grace, depicts Andrew with Virginia Giuffre, a victim of Jeffrey Epstein, and the convicted sex trafficker Ghislaine Maxwell in the background. Hervey, who briefly dated Andrew in the 1990s, seems convinced that the picture has been manipulated, asserting that Andrew's head was superimposed onto Epstein's body. Despite these claims, the photographer who released the photo has dismissed the notion of tampering as "ridiculous." The T-shirt design, which Lady Victoria claims was created by the person she believes to be the original photographer, has sparked quite a buzz, leading to the establishment of her new clothing brand, The Faked. Described as a way to "spark conversations and challenge perceptions of reality," the T-shirts are selling for £50. Meghan Markle has reportedly been making efforts to forge a friendship with global pop icon Taylor Swift, showcasing her admiration for Swift's personal branding and marketing acumen. Meghan supposedly extended an invitation to Swift to join her on her podcast 'Archetypes', an invitation that was symbolized through a personal, handwritten note. Despite the fact that Swift did not appear on the podcast, Meghan's interest in the singer remains strong. Royal commentator Kinsey Schofield told GBN America, "Meghan made sure to attend Taylor Swift's concert in Los Angeles and importantly ensured that People Magazine was aware of her presence at the event. It seems crucial for Meghan to have this information relayed to gossip sites, highlighting her desire for people to know she was there." Prince William displayed his sense of humor as he laughed off Royal Family jokes at the BAFTA Awards. Attending as BAFTA's President, a role he has held since 2010, William enjoyed the festivities where the film 'Oppenheimer' was a major winner. Hosted by David Tennant, known for his role in 'Doctor Who', the evening was filled with humor. Nick Mohammed, a comedian and actor, took the stage and made light-hearted jabs at the Prince of Wales. Mohammed comically explained the evacuation protocol in case of an emergency, humorously prioritizing himself first, followed by the BAFTA trophies and others, and then, almost as an afterthought, he added, "Oh! And the royals! Sorry. Sorry! Sorry!" Cutting to William, the cameras showed him joining in the laughter with the audience. Earlier, he had engaged with movie enthusiasts outside the venue, expressing his disappointment at not having seen many nominated film saying “ I've done the fewest I've ever done this year, annoyingly. I've had other things on my mind.. but hopefully I'll catch up."

Royal Insider Deep Crown observes, “Whereas Harry seems to have sidestepped every lesson from Elizabeth, William grasps the essence of monarchy: visibility is paramount. Kate will understand this too. William knows being in the public eye isn't optional; it's the very fabric of their duty. There truly is no alternative."

Meghan Markle issues statement defending website. Do the Royals have too many crsises right now to fight this one?
2024/02/15
Prince Harry reportedly chose not to be in the same room as Queen Camilla during his visit to King Charles following the announcement of the King's cancer diagnosis. According to journalist Petronella Wyatt, a friend of Camilla's, "Harry, I hear, preferred not to be in the same room with his stepmother when he spoke to the King about his cancer diagnosis." Camilla's friend Fiona Shelburne, Lady Lansdowne, mentioned that Harry's allegations have caused Camilla pain, stating, "Of course it bothers her, of course it hurts. But she doesn't let it get to her. Her philosophy is always, 'Don't make a thing of it and it will settle down – least said, soonest mended'." Royal expert Robert Jobson suggested that the brevity of Harry's visit was influenced by the King's health condition. He remarked, "You don't want his blood pressure going up. The King's not very well, whatever type of cancer it is, he's undergoing treatment. The best thing for him is to remain calm. After the initial kiss and hug, love you dad, hope you get better soon, what issues are going to get raised? Things that will get your blood pressure rising." (new story) Meghan has issued a statement in response to criticism over the controversial new Sussex website. It reads: "There is a reason I have worked with Ryan and the talented team at Article for a decade: their attention to detail, their creativity and care, and the thoughtful approach to design as well as to the user experience,” the duchess said in a statement on the Article website. "They’re not just designers; they are collaborators who elevate your ideas into visual identities. They’re a very special company. Plus they’re Canadian, so I’m a fan.” 'The Mail quoted a source as saying : 'They are going to have real trouble with the use of Sussex. It is a royal title and if there is any hint of commercialism about this it will be shut down. It's just staggering they cannot see how gauche it is.'
