Vintage Jo Extra
2023/10/30
Joanna found her style when she turned 50. Did you have the same experience when you turned 50?  On the podcast, Jo talks about how her natural grey hair and vintage style preference makes her work as an 'extra' a fun part of her lifestyle. Jo started working as an 'extra' at a time when she needed to closely care for her son. Being an 'extra' can be confronting. Especially when you're on a production set getting your hair and makeup done in the era of your parents. Have you had the experience of when you've dressed like your mother when she was your age? Did it seem like they were looking straight back at you in the mirror?  That's confronting. Do you collect accessories to make your contemporary clothes look vintage? That's part of what makes Joanne look vintage amazing. You can see the array of vintage looks Jo has sewn for special events and just because this is her signature style. Hop over to her Instagram account. You'll also find Jo on her Minerva page. More from Jo on the podcast next week. If you are able, consider supporting this podcast through our patreon account. Christina not only sews her own activewear, she road tests them and will share those reviews on her Instagram account and on her YouTube account. Here's how she reviews her work, "I started the day in a Rad CYOA slim and sweats (with an LBB and hellebore) and then changed for running into Sparks, Endurance, secret tank, pacific pullover. It started as 52F and overcast and poured rain when I was 3/4mi from home. Damp. The only thing you can see is the pullover so you'll just have to take my word for it.'
