God Still Does Amazing Things | Seth Tomboli
2026/09/27
God is faithful to complete the good work He begins in us. Philippians 1:6 reminds us that our confidence rests not in our own strength, but in God’s faithfulness to carry His work to completion. As followers of Christ, we are called not merely to start walking the holy way, but to remain faithful and press forward without looking back. Through Christ, God makes us new, brings us from spiritual death to life, and transforms us from the inside out. Our responsibility is to hold firmly to our hope, trust His promises, and continue pursuing the upward call of Christ. God has a history of doing amazing things for us and in us, and because He is faithful, we can confidently keep moving forward.Scripture ReferencesPhilippians 1:6Luke 9:62Philippians 3:13-14Hebrews 10:23Ephesians 22 Corinthians 5:17Galatians 2:20
Episode 51: The Spiritual Discipline We've Forgotten
2026/09/25
When was the last time we sat in complete silence with God—no phone, no music, no Bible open, and nothing to accomplish?
In this episode, we talk about how difficult it has become to simply be still. From constant notifications and second screens to busy mornings and restless minds, we unpack why silence can feel so uncomfortable and why creating undistracted space with God matters.
We also talk about giving God the first of our day, making prayer and giving personal instead of transactional, and what happens when we consistently feed our spirit instead of our flesh.

The Holy People | Seth Tomboli
2026/09/21
Pastor Seth continues our vision series: The Holy Way. We serve a Holy God - We must be a Holy People - So we can witness Amazing Things. Today, Pastor Seth uses Joshua 3:5 to show us why we must consecrate ourselves! We must dedicate, sanctify, purify, and set apart every area of our lives to be made holy! Consecrated FROM sin and Consecrated FOR God! This takes daily surrender on our part. We must make it a daily habit to consecrate people (ourselves) - consecrate places like our homes - consecrate times like honoring the sabbath, our mornings, and times for fasting - and we must consecrate things like our skills and finances! God has given us these things to be used in ways to glorify Him! So today we ask the Lord to search our hearts, and help us go the holy way by consecrating ourselves!Scripture References:Isaiah 35:8Joshua 3:5Hebrews 12:1-2Deuteronomy 32:49, 52Luke 9:231 Peter 2:91 Corinthians 6:121 Corinthians 6:19-202 Chronicles 7:15-16Joshua 24:15Psalm 31:14-15Exodus 20:8-91 Corinthians 15:10Colossians 3:23
Episode 50: What Does It Actually Mean to Live a Holy Life?
2026/09/17
What does it actually mean to be holy? Is it following enough rules, avoiding enough sin, or somehow cleaning ourselves up enough for God?
In this episode, we unpack Isaiah 35 and what it means to walk the “Holy Way”—not through perfection or performance, but by fixing our eyes on Jesus and allowing Him to continually set us apart from sin and for God. We talk honestly about addiction, temptation, the “off-ramps” that pull us away, correction, accountability, and the grace that makes this pursuit possible in the first place.
Holiness isn’t about earning God’s love. It’s about becoming more like the One who already loved and saved us.

Episode 49: Learning to Listen and Pray
2026/09/11
This week, during NLC Fayetteville’s Week of Prayer, we talk honestly about what prayer actually looks like in everyday life. How do we know when God is speaking? When should we talk, when should we listen, and how do we keep from overcomplicating it?We share some of our own prayer rhythms... from prayer walks and praying out loud to journaling and looking back at prayers God has answered, and talk about how remembering His faithfulness builds confidence for what we’re praying about today.💬 Share this with someone you love who wants to grow deeper in prayer.
Truth For Your Soul | Pastor Amir
2026/09/06
This message shares two foundational truths: Jesus restores our souls, and Jesus gives us spiritual weapons for the battles we face in our minds. Through rest, Sabbath rhythms, prayer, Scripture, and community, we can find restoration and learn to guard our thoughts. The message encourages us to recognize that while difficult thoughts may enter our minds, we can choose what we allow to remain by replacing lies, worry, and fear with God’s truth. Ultimately, victory comes through continually walking in God’s Word, relying on Jesus, and allowing others into our lives as we pursue healthy souls and stronger households.Scripture References3 John 1:2–4Psalm 127:1Psalm 23:1–3Matthew 16:26Matthew 11:28–30Exodus 20Mark 2:27–282 Corinthians 10:3–5Ephesians 6Joshua 1Philippians 41 Corinthians 6:18
Proximity is not the same as Real Community | Seth Tomboli
2026/08/30
You can be surrounded by people and still feel completely alone.Because proximity is not the same as real community.Sitting in the same room, going to the same school, attending the same church, or following each other on social media doesn't automatically mean we're truly connected.Real community requires more than being around people—it requires being known, honest, present, and willing to walk through life together. In this message, we talk about why God never designed us to do life alone and how we can move from simply being surrounded by people to actually finding the kind of community where we can grow, belong, and become who God has called us to be.You don't just need people around you. You need people with you.
Episode 48: What Can One Yes to God Change?
2026/08/28
What can one act of obedience change? In this episode, we celebrate 25 years of New Life Church and look at what God has done through people who were simply willing to say yes. From planting a church with young kids and no guarantee of what would happen, to a single encouraging text that helped shape a future calling, we talk about how God uses ordinary moments of faithfulness in ways we may not understand until years later. And as we celebrate the last 25 years, we're also looking forward: what could God do through the next 25?💬 Share this with someone you love whose faithfulness has made a difference in your life.
Three Things We Need From Each Other | Pastor Rick Bezet
2026/08/23
God has done great things, and He continues to do a new work in His people and His church. This message challenges us to recognize God’s faithfulness, trust Him to complete the work He has begun, and move forward with joy and spiritual fervor. We are called to keep Jesus first, remembering that He holds all things together and that our true citizenship is in heaven. We must also protect and cultivate the joy of the Lord, especially through seasons of difficulty. Finally, we are encouraged to be faithful in God’s house by serving, loving others, practicing hospitality, and multiplying what God has entrusted to us. As Christ faithfully loves and sanctifies His church, we are called to faithfully participate in what He is doing.Scripture ReferencesPsalm 126:3Isaiah 43:19Philippians 1:6Romans 12:9-16Ephesians 5:25Colossians 1:17Philippians 3:20Nehemiah 8:10Matthew 25:29

God's Family | Seth Tomboli
2026/08/16
In this episode, we explore the call to share our faith in a natural, everyday way. Drawing from Scripture, we look at how Jesus came to seek and save the lost, why following Him means becoming fishers of people, and the power the Holy Spirit gives us to be witnesses.

Family Was God's Idea | Seth Tomboli
2026/08/09
Family was God’s idea, designed to provide meaningful relationships and a place where people can grow together. Psalm 127 reminds us that unless the Lord builds the house, our efforts are ultimately in vain. This sermon challenges us to build our families intentionally rather than accidentally, making the home a shelter where people feel safe, a learning center where faith and character are developed, a playground filled with joy and shared experiences, and a launching pad that prepares the next generation to live boldly for Christ. Families are called to love Jesus and make Him known, take God at His Word, serve others, speak life, show grace, tell the truth, work hard, and leave people and places better than they found them.Scripture ReferencesGenesis 2:18, 24Psalm 127:1–5Proverbs 14:26Proverbs 22:6Luke 2:52Psalm 145:4Psalm 118:24
Episode 47: Are You Asking the Right Questions?
2026/08/06
This week we unpack one simple but powerful truth: the questions we ask God often reveal what's really in our hearts.
As we continue through the Beatitudes, we talk about the difference between asking God to bless our plans and asking for His will, why Jesus responded to questions with questions, and how surrender often brings more clarity than certainty.
If you've ever wondered whether you're asking the right questions—or wrestling with God's direction for your life—this conversation is for you.

God Works Through Interrupted Plans | Acts 8 | Seth Tomboli
2026/08/03
God often does His deepest work through interrupted plans. In Acts 8, Philip’s willingness to leave his expected path and obey God’s direction placed him exactly where he needed to be to share the gospel with the Ethiopian eunuch. This reminds us that God still uses ordinary people who are willing to move when He instructs, even when the destination or purpose is unclear. Clarity often comes with movement: God instructs, we obey, God moves, and we gain clarity. Like Philip, we are God’s workmanship, prepared to do the good works He has planned for us. The gospel always requires a response, and we should never allow fear, shame, busyness, or interrupted plans to stand in the way of obedience and sharing the good news of Jesus.Scripture ReferencesActs 8:1, 4Acts 8:26-38Isaiah 53:7-8Proverbs 19:21Proverbs 16:9Ephesians 2:10Romans 1:16Luke 9:26
