Will You Waste the King's Gifts? /// Parables of Jesus
2026/10/18
The parable of the minds teaches us that God calls us to remain faithful to Him, even when the world rejects Him. He has entrusted each of us with gifts and opportunities, and He expects us to use them faithfully rather than waste them out of fear. Our reward for faithfulness is greater responsibility, and we should let our lives shine so that others may glorify God.
The Barren Fig Tree /// The Parables of Jesus
2026/10/11
Luke 13 teaches that God expects our lives to show evidence of repentance and spiritual growth. As we remain connected to Jesus, we can bear fruit through prayer, accountability, and service. God's grace gives us time to grow, but we must respond to His conviction and live transformed lives.
Why Does God Want Me to Wait /// The Parables of Jesus
2026/10/04
God uses seasons of waiting to grow us, strengthen our faith, and prepare us for what's ahead. Waiting doesn't mean doing nothing. We are called to pray, serve, and stay spiritually prepared. We cannot borrow someone else's preparation, so we must be ready when God's opportunity.
Don't Leave God on Read /// Parables of Jesus
2026/09/27
Jesus' parable of the Great Banquet teaches us that God continually invites us into His plan, but excuses can keep us from responding. It reminds us that God's grace extends even to those we may not expect. We are challenged to trust and obey God rather than make excuses. We are encouraged to actively invite others through our relationships, church, and testimony.
Hypocrisy is Rebellion /// The Parables of Jesus
2026/09/20
Scripture warns against hypocrisy and self-righteousness, reminding us to focus on our need for God's grace rather than judging others. True righteousness comes through humility and obedience to God, not outward religious actions.
Grace That Makes You Glad /// 2 Corinthians 12:7-10
2026/09/13
Paul encourages believers to watch and see what adversity produces! God can use adversity to refine our joy rather than allowing us to avoid difficult seasons. Paul's thorn reminds us that struggles can reveal our perspective, draw us away from self-focus, and help us recognize our dependence on God's grace and power. Sometimes, God's answer to prayer may be "no" because He is doing something deeper than simply giving us what we ask for. Ultimately, God offers a lasting joy rooted in grace and contentment, reminding us that even in weakness, His power is made perfect.
What You Treasure Shapes How You Live /// Pt.8
2026/09/06
Everybody treasures something! What do you spend time, energy, and money on regularly? We need to know that what we treasure shapes how we live our daily lives. When we let possessions rule our lives, anxiety often shapes how we live. However when God is our Master, trust shapes our lives!
Prayer as an Act of Resistance /// Summer on the Mount Pt.7
2026/08/30
Prayer is an act of resistance that helps us overcome fear, selfishness, unforgiveness and the desire for control by trusting God. Jesus teaches us to depend on God, forgive others, and seek His guidance and deliverance. Effective prayer should change how we treat people and remind us that God is enough.
What's Your Why? /// Summer on the Mount Pt. 5
2026/08/16
Matthew 6:1–18 challenges us to examine why we pursue God, reminding us that our faith should be rooted in a genuine desire to know and honor Him rather than impress others. Jesus calls us to lose the audience, letting go of the need for recognition and choosing to live for an audience of One. We are also invited to talk to God, not at God, approaching prayer as a genuine relationship and conversation with our Father rather than simply repeating words or going through religious motions. Finally, fasting is not simply about what we give up—it is about seeking God, drawing closer to Him, and allowing Him to transform our hearts.
Restoration over Retaliation ///Summer on the Mount Pt.4
2026/08/09
Jesus teaches that fulfilling God's law goes beyond following rules and should transform how we live and treat others in everyday life. Matthew 5:33-37 challenges us to choose truth over comfort by being people whose "yes" and "no" can be trusted. We are also called to choose restoration over retaliation, breaking the cycle of revenge and pursuing peace when we are wronged. Jesus takes this even further by commanding us to choose love over hate, loving and praying for our enemies rather than responding with hostility. Ultimately, believers are called to live a counter-cultural life marked by truth, peace, love, and hospitality that reflects the character of God and welcomes others into His Kingdom.
A Citizen's Guide to the Kingdom /// Summer on the Mount Pt.3
2026/08/02
Jesus teaches that true righteousness comes from a transformed heart, not just outward obedience. He calls believers to reject sin's loopholes and love others as God does. Through His mercy, He changes us from the inside out.
Summer on the Mount /// Pt.2
2026/07/26
With a new life in Christ comes a new lifestyle! The old ways and thoughts are passed and all things are NEW! Be careful? Sometimes even with good intentions, we can start to think that our actions dictate our identity. Remember, our "who" changes our "do"!
Summer on the Mount /// Pt.1
2026/07/19
Jesus teaches that God's kingdom values humility, faith, and righteousness over worldly success and comfort. Jesus calls His followers to live with an eternal perspective, finding true blessing in Him rather than in wealth, power, or approval. Ultimately, the message reminds us to fully embrace God's Kingdom and trust His promises above all else.
What To Do When Doing Is Hard /// Pastor Marc
2026/07/12
Where do you turn when even the daily tasks of life are too difficult to deal with? Sometimes, we lose sight of where true strength is found. Believers in Christ find supernatural strength through the power of the Holy Spirit. We can trust His plan even the life is difficult. Through these passages in Zechariah, we are reminded that God is still at work, building His people for His glory and purposes.
A Kingdom View of Ambition and Corruption /// Parables of Jesus Pt.8
2026/07/05
In Luke 16, the parable of the dishonest manager warns against spiritual corruption, misplaced ambition, and the love of money. It challenges believers to pursue God's kingdom with the same intentionality that the world pursues temporary success, using their resources to bless others, build unity, and advance the gospel. Ultimately, the message calls Christians to faithfully steward everything God has entrusted to them, remembering that no one can serve both God and money.
