Karen Williams: Living More through Flexibility and Boundaries with Karen Williams
2026/04/17
If you want to write and publish your own book because you have great ideas that can make a difference in the world, then what you need is a book mentor. A book mentor is someone who will help and guide you through the process of writing your own book – from the planning stage, writing, and even publishing and marketing. My guest today is Karen Williams, a book mentor for  Librotas. She creates structure, comes up with strategic plans, and sees things from a different perspective. These skills allow her to mentor and work with clients from all over the world. Karen joins me to share how to find the balance between setting boundaries and being flexible so you can be most productive in your personal and professional life. She also shares some practical tips on how you can have the power to do more in your business by knowing when to invest in outsourcing. She does her best to live in the moment as she points out the impact that her project called ‘A Year to Live’ has made on her life. “For me it’s about the flexibility and building into the life I want to lead.” – Karen Williams This Week on the POWER to Live More Podcast: Weekly routine over morning routine The challenge of working too hard or not working enough Benefits of using post-its and a CRM (customer relationship management) system Details of the writing retreat she organises in Spain The significance of having regular breaks Why having a mentor is important Why outsourcing is a great way to get support in your business Common problems with startup businesses Finding the secrets to the success of other coaches and business people How journaling helps when things go wrong Karen’s Advice for Professional and Business Development: Be realistic when scheduling tasks. Learn to step up by having a coach or a mentor. Know what your expertise is and get support to help you in areas where other people are the experts. 2026/04/03
Amanda Davie began her career working in client services with online advertising companies and digital media startups. After sixteen years of helping to build small businesses and honing her customer relations skills, Amanda decided to branch out on her own and use her unique qualifications to help cultivate inclusive and equitable workplaces. She is an executive coach and co-founder of Equal Talent, a company that provides group coaching to encourage a more balanced and high-performing work culture. Janine Ogg: Asana, Digital Learning, Templates, Outdoor Pursuits and Sub 20 Hour Businesses
2026/03/20
Asana, Digital Learning, Templates, Outdoor Pursuits and Sub 20 Hour a Week Businesses with Janine Ogg, Co-Founder of Get It Done Mum. What We Recommended: Tools & Apps “I’m a huge advocate of Asana. With our latest project, which is launching our own podcast, we’ve got all the templates in place now, and it makes it a lot more efficient.” Unroll.Me – to make unsubscribing from newsletters quick and easy SaneBox – I recommend this for managing and triaging your email Canned Responses in Gmail, which is a template tool. “I’ve got a bunch of templates saved in there now, and that saves me hours of time composing e-mails.” “We use Google Hangouts a lot too.” Shortkeys – Jo uses this on her PC to create templates that ‘magically’ appear when a short code is typed in. “We’re both using Headspace. Jo and I have both signed up for that in the last couple of months, and we put that on the business because we decided the mindset of being in a good head space is really essential to living a healthy and successful life as an entrepreneur” Jo did a search for gamification and to-do lists to find something to suit Little Doddsy and what came up is called Habitica Other Resources “What sort of learning am I doing now?” and I realised just how much more I’m doing my learning via podcast or online, like even sometimes via things that come through Facebook, or Sam and I listen to a lot of TED Talks. We’re doing a lot of our learning via new online technologies now. It’s quite interesting just to reflect on that.” Books Full Catastrophe Living by Jon Kabat-Zinn, which is a meditation book about mindfulness meditation. Succulent Wild Woman by Sark. “She’s an artist who has pretty much built a business empire, become a very savvy businesswoman. She just writes these books that … They’re funny, they’re creative and artistic. They’ve got lots of drawings in them. They’re all about living life succulently, dancing with your wonderful self.” The Four-Fold Way. “This is a leadership book. It’s Walking the Path of the Warrior, Teacher, Healer, and Visionary, and it’s by Angeles Arrien. She’s an anthropologist. This was the textbook that my life coach gave me when I was in my mid-20s, maybe, and I did a life coaching programme.” The Omnivore’s Dilemma, which is about food “because I was a vegetarian for about twelve years, and this is one of the books that I ended up moving back to eating meat again”. Radical Simplicity, “which is all about basically a “less is more” approach to living your life. That’s really influenced where we’ve taken the business, really, if I think about it, because it’s all about how the choices that you make in terms of what you spend and how you set your life up influence how much you need to work and what we can do to set ourselves up so that we are having a smaller footprint on the earth as well as being able to do more of what we love doing and not be focused on having to work, work, work, work to pay the bills or pay the mortgage or whatever it is that’s putting that pressure on us. Tips “I guess the key one here for us, and what we’re teaching about a lot is around strategy, because we believe that no matter how many to-do lists you have or how many amazing technological tools you’re using, if you don’t have your strategy right, it doesn’t matter. You’re still not going to achieve what you’re setting out to achieve if you don’t have the right strategy in place. We consistently see people spending a lot of time on things that aren’t actually contributing to what it is they want to achieve in their business.” “What we do to be really productive and really focused is we have two really clear milestones that we have for our business. Usually one’s around an income generation milestone and one’s, for us, an audience building milestone.” “We have what we call a parking lot, which is where we put things where we’re like, “Should we really be working on this right now?” You know those bright, shiny objects that come up and you’re like, “This looks really cool, but should we actually be doing it right now?” We’re constantly asking ourselves that question. If it’s a “no,” if it doesn’t fit with what our current targets are, then we put it in the parking lot and come back to it later.” “I work three hours a week on my passion project as well, which is a river project. That keeps us busy outside of work.” “I guess as I get older I’m getting better at being more aware and noticing my signs for when I’m getting out of balance, when I’m over-tired, when I need to take some time for myself. I definitely still don’t get it right all the time, but I’m getting there. That’s probably one of my biggest learnings, is just how important it is to give yourself that time when you need it to be able to recognise those signs and also just keep perspective about what’s important and what’s not.” Podcasts “I’ve been going through a phase of trying to get out for an evening walk a couple of times a week too, and I tend to listen to podcasts then. Sometimes I’ll listen to business-related stuff, especially because we’re launching our own podcast at the moment, but often I’ll just listen to stuff that I’m interested in as well. There’s just so much there to discover. It’s incredible.” Websites “What I do is I’m a member of an online gym called foreverfit.tv, which is run by a Kiwi woman called Nicola Smith. I’ve interviewed her a couple of times, actually. I love her business model and I love what she’s doing. She’s a personal trainer who took her business online, and she’s got this incredible online gym. It’s packed full of quick and easy workouts that are really effective.” To Contact J9 (Janine) Janine Ogg https://www.linkedin.com/in/janineogg/ “We’re also launching a podcast in the next few weeks, so if you’d like to listen to some of the stuff we’re chatting about on the podcast we’d love to have you visit. The focus of that is around building your business in twenty hours a week or less.” Tweet: “I’m a huge advocate of Asana. With our latest project, with templates, it makes it more efficient.” @getitdonemum https://ctt.ec/rY764+ Tweet: “the mindset of being in a good ‘headspace’ is really essential to living a healthy and successful life as an entrepreneur” https://ctt.ec/2Ka5X+ Tweet: “We have what we call a parking lot, where we put things where we’re like, “Should we really be working on this right now?” https://ctt.ec/tecgx+ [spp-transcript] The post Janine Ogg: Asana, Digital Learning, Templates, Outdoor Pursuits and Sub 20 Hour Businesses first appeared on POWER to Live More.

Mark Huggins: Personal Development, Mindfulness, Meditation, Mind Mapping, Productivity and Walking
2026/02/27
Personal Development, Mindfulness, Meditation, Mind Mapping, Productivity and Walking with Mark Huggins, MD and Owner of Corporate Drama Listen Below and Here’s What We Recommended: Business and Marketing Marketing – CRM and Email Tools Infusionsoft – “I started with that about a year ago when we decided to really shift our marketing for Corporate Drama up a gear. I really like it, I find it really dynamic. We’re only using a small part of it, ultimately we’ll come on to use other sections of it. It’s a platform that can grow with your business as your business grows. That comes highly recommended.” Social Media Hootsuite – “I use Hootsuite a lot. We broadcast out across LinkedIn, Twitter and Facebook on a regular basis. I really like Hootsuite and I tend to use that … That would be one of my 90 minutes, sitting down scheduling Hootsuite for the next 2 or 3 or 4 weeks.” Learning – Books – Entrepreneurial “A book that I’ve read recently which I have recommended to so many people now – I really should be on commission but sadly I’m not – is a book called ‘Turn The Ship Around’ by David L. Marquet. An absolutely fascinating book. I highly, highly recommend it. I’ve recommended it to lots of people that I have been working with over the last 3 or 4 months.” Productivity “I have in front of me a large yellow pad which, which has 5 columns down it, vertical columns and each of those columns are a day of the week. Normally on a Saturday morning, when I’m just wrapping things up before I start to enjoy my weekend, I allow myself an hour on Saturday morning and I plan what I’m going to do on each of my 90 minutes across the week for the following week.” “I’m also a big mind mapper. The tool that I use is a mind mapping tool called Simple Mind. They do a free version which is very, very good or you can upgrade to the all singing all dancing version. I will often then transfer what I’ve started in sort of embryonic form in the notepad. I’ll then work that up into a full blown mind map on the Simple Mind and then of course you can print that out if you need to. A lot of my project work starts that way.” Personal Development Books ‘Build Your Business In 90 Minutes a Day’ by Nigel Botterill and Martin Gladdish. The central message of the book is that if you set a period of time, Nigel recommends 90 minutes but you can have any set period of time, first thing in the morning and you absolutely minimise every single distraction that you can possibly have to enable you to focus for those 90 minutes. When I read this, I mean it’s such basic common sense, when I read it and then decided to implement it, the change was really transformational. Wellbeing Sleep Minimising Jetlag – “In terms of jetlag, the thing that I have learnt over the last few years, really be choosy about your flights. I mean, working out, if you can, when you land in the new country I always try and make it some time in the afternoon local time because then I’ve only got a few hours before local time it will be bedtime. I find that can very, very quickly get on to, successfully get on to local time.” Sleep and Water – “Make sure you get plenty of sleep, make sure you drink plenty of water and you eat healthy and magically that way you seem to be able to get through the week. If you stop doing those things and starting to burn the candle at both ends, then don’t be surprised when by Thursday you’re feeling completely, you’re completely shuttered.” Exercise Walking – “I’m pretty lucky that I live in South Buckinghamshire, in a little village, and we’re surrounded by open countryside and woods and some beautiful bridleways and walks around here. Walking is very high on my priority of activities. Meditation and Mindfulness “I practice mindfulness and we factor mindfulness into a number of our programmes, our leadership programmes in particular, and I have a really good mindfulness app on my iPhone which are a series of guided meditations of varying lengths and you can just get in when you’re on a train and you’re thinking, “Oh I just I need to do a little bit of meditation”. You can stick your headphones in and hit the button and it comes up with a lovely guided meditation for 5, 10, 15, I think some are even 30 minutes in duration. I think it’s just called Mindfulness. When stuff goes wrong – “Okay, it didn’t go according to plan. There will be learning that you can take from this and as long as you apply that then there is likelihood that you’ll get some benefit from it. The alternative is just to beat yourself up and get thoroughly miserable. That’s not really worth it at the end of the day. It’s something that mindfulness has taught me as well – is the power of letting go of things that bother you and worry you. That would be my top tip for bad days. Reflection and then thinking what could have been better and a bit of mindfulness to prevent a sleepless night.” Random Films & TV “I was very keen to see recently the Steve Jobs movie which I found absolutely fascinating.” “The movie about the financial crush with Steve Carell and … Is it called Big Short? The Big Short I think it’s called. It’s about the guys who try and bet against the US housing market. If you haven’t seen it, it’s an amazing film. At times funny and other times absolutely jaw dropping because you begin to realise how inappropriate, should we say, the whole financial structure was around mortgages in the US leading up to the 2008/2009 crash. To Contact Mark “Well the best thing to do, would be to head on to our website. Which is, https://www.corporatedrama.co.uk and there is a whole massive stuff on there that you can explore from appraisals to assertiveness and communication styles. There are videos on there you can watch. There is that or I’m on LinkedIn as Mark Huggins. You’ll be able to find me. Please do, if anybody is listening to this, wants any more information ping me a message and I’ll be more than happy to reply.” Tweet: “I’m also a big mind mapper. Amanda Holges: Making Time for Business Growth
2026/02/06
Amanda Holges has over three decades of experience as a serial entrepreneur, having grown her family business into a highly successful international company. She is a business mentor and mastermind facilitator who passionately helps entrepreneurs with business development and growth strategies to achieve success through her membership site, virtual mentoring programmes, and group mastermind programmes. She is the host of the Time for Business Growth Podcast, where she shares strategies and advice for busy entrepreneurs on everything from productivity and time management to managing their finances and building a successful business. Amanda joins me today to share her story and journey as a business mentor, providing guidance and support to business owners. She shares some particularly useful insights on improving productivity, including her top app choices. She also explains how she faces minor problems versus how she handles major situations and shares the value of using and tweaking ideas, as well as learning how to appreciate the simple things in life. “It’s worth giving things a try and giving them a chance to work, and then say, ‘this bit works for me, this bit doesn’t.’ Then just mould it to what works for you.” Amanda Holges This Week on The Power to Live More Podcast: Amanda’s journey to becoming a business mentor. Why she decided to change the way she prioritises things. How her template schedule for productivity works and how it has affected her working style. How she balances flexibility and structure in her schedule by keeping space and respecting immovable tasks. Why she is more productive in the morning. Amanda’s favourite techniques for productivity — and her top meditation app. Her recommendations for learning and improving. Why she considers it important to have ideas to try, tweak, improve, and even discard. The encouragement and “feel-good” factor — the buzz that gets you thinking that you can actually do and achieve things. How she dealt with the challenges of the last few months by shrugging off the small stuff. The “one key thing tomorrow” that she focuses on accomplishing after a day when nothing goes right. The importance of taking time to clear your mind and just face a problem the next day instead of trying to solve it right away. How she came to the realisation that she can only make memories with her loved ones when she’s actually there, present and with them — and how this influenced the way she balances work duties with family duties. How enjoying simple things can make a significant difference. Show notes provided (brilliantly, my words not theirs!) by Lidwell Writing Services, LLC This Week’s App / Resource Gett  If you are ever in London and looking for a taxi; look no further than this app. When I worked in London I was always lamenting how I never seemed to be able to find a free black cab when I needed one. I used to play netball at Blackfriars, along from our office in Cannon Street and we were often late or out of breath from lots of running when we couldn’t find that elusive taxi! With Gett it allows you to ‘summon’ a black cab and, once it’s set up, pay by card as part of the app. It has been so useful in the years that I’ve been using it.  The best example of how useful it is was when I was speaking at an event at Birmingham University with the man who headed up the London 2012 Gamesmakers and I impressed him by finding us a black cab when it was chucking it down with rain and no cabs were visible anywhere. As we were trying to think of our strategy I realised that gett works in Birmingam too so we then easily got a cab! Use this code for £3 off your first ride! Receipt Bank I’ve just been sorting out my expenses for last month and was reminded how useful this app is. Receipt Bank is a tool that allows you to scan receipts on your phone or email invoices into it and it then converts them into accounting records and sends them to one of a number of accounts systems (I use Kashflow). It’s really helped me to get on top of my accounts and expenses and stops me having a pile of random bits of paper my desk that get in the way, get me down…and get me behind on my accounts! I scan receipts at the point of purchase and throw the receipt away. If I’m really organised and charging the expense back to a client I can add them into a field to allow me to run reports based on the client’s name, which makes invoicing so much quicker. You can check it out here. The post Amanda Holges: Making Time for Business Growth first appeared on POWER to Live More.
Susan Heaton-Wright: CapsuleCRM, GarageBand, Female Entrepreneur Association and Hobbies
2026/01/30
CapsuleCRM, GarageBand, Female Entrepreneur Association and Hobbies with Susan Heaton-Wright of Executive Voice. What We Recommended: Tools & Apps Google Calendar – Susan uses this to plan out her time and time block for tasks Entrepreneur’s Planner – we didn’t discuss which planner Sue uses (what an omission!) but I recommend the Ultimate Planner that ‘invented’ by podcast guest you haven’t heard from yet! CapsuleCRM – Susan uses this customer relationship management tool with the ‘task option’ to manage work for, and with clients. “I find it a very useful way of tracking where I am with a particular client and the relationship, how far it’s gone if that makes sense.” Tip from Jo – In CapsuleCRM you can use the ‘tracks’ functionality where you can set up a list of tasks that need to happens for something, and then you can set it to create those tasks automatically based on the date you’ve put it in or the date that something is due. “So if I’m speaking somewhere I kick off the speaking track for that particular contact and it will put in all the dates for confirming the speaking title and writing the slides and sending them to the people and all that sort of thing which I find useful. I have one for writing guest blogs as well, so if I’ve got a publishing deadline.” Asana – a project management tool (used to manage these podcasts) “I use Asana if I’m working with somebody else. we will use that together so that we track where things are going, but now I’ve got this idea of tracker within Capsule. I think that I might change.” GarageBand – a music creation studio on a Mac. “I love GarageBand. I’m a Mac fan and I love my GarageBand. In fact for proposals to clients I now do a little mini podcast for them just to say, “I’d love to work with you. Having chatted on the phone about this I think X, Y, and Z would be perfect for you for training.” it just gives a little bit of a personalised touch to the proposal, and because it’s about speaking it marries perfectly with showing what I do. “ Other Resources Female Entrepreneur Association – “I love learning. I love finding out more about things. I think that you probably are the same. Always interested in new things, getting more knowledge. I’m a member of the Female Entrepreneur Association. Carrie Green. I don’t know if you’ve come across her. She’s absolutely wonderful, and she’s got a membership group that part of it is on Facebook, but every month you get what’s called a bundle, and there will be a topic that they focus on and this month it is about creating a membership club which isn’t of particular interest to me, but a previous month was on webinars and another month was on creating systems for your business.” The Times – newspaper “I read The Times every morning online and there are usually some good articles in that too.” Books Wild: A Journey from Lost to Found by Cheryl Strayed – “There was an article about her this week in The Times anyway, but she wrote the book about the walk that she went on. There was a film made of it earlier this year. Very inspirational.” Tiny Beautiful Things: Advice on Love and Life from Someone Who’s Been There by Cheryl Strayed – “She also did a book that is the answers to questions, sort of agony aunt questions. For a long time she was anonymous, and the way that she answered things was so beautiful because she had real empathy with people that were going through a really hard time, really struggling with some very, very difficult life challenges, and it’s particularly poignant because she’s had a lot of major challenges herself in her life, and yet she was able to share and make people feel better.” A Christmas Carol by Charles Dickens – “I listen to the Christmas Carol, you know an audio version of that while I’m making Christmas cakes and things like that.” Music April Verch – a folk fiddle player “she collects different sorts of music which is brilliant and talked about the fiddle and everything. She plays the fiddle and dances at the same time which is awesome and didn’t fall over which I would have done. She also sings, but she doesn’t sing and play the fiddle at the same time!” Films & Theatre Farinelli and the King by Claire van Kampen– “We’d wanted to go and see it and there were no tickets, and we kept going into the theatre, no tickets. These two turned up at 9:00 in the morning so we bought them. Went there and it was the most fantastic play with music. There were live musicians there. It was beautiful.” Tips Early morning walk – “I get up with my son because he leaves for school at 7:20, so I’m up and around then. What I’ve started to do in the last three months is go for a walk just to get some energy up, and I will do anything from a two thousand step walk to perhaps a half hour walk which gives me about six thousand steps on my fit watch, which is good.” Drinking water – “I also have a five hundred millilitre bottle of tap water as soon as I get up because I’m always dehydrated after sleeping.” Time Blocking – “There are times when I do time block. I’ve found that if there’s a proposal I need to do for a client or I’m writing a blog or doing my podcast, or even I’ve been creating some online courses, I will switch my phone to my call minder, switch all of my mobile phones and other devices off and just focus for an hour or so and I need to do that. I’ve even got a timer that if I want to do that for a half an hour then I’ll put that timer on and it will ring after thirty minutes, and I know I’ve focused completely on that task which sounds a little bit strict but it works for me.” Prioritising Clients – “He (a speaker at a conference) said that he always answers the phone which is a bit scary when you’re in a conference with him, but we’ll move over from that, but he will always take a call and he will always respond, and if somebody says that they want a quote from something, he will drop everything to make sure that quote goes straightaway. If they email him, he’ll pick up the phone and speak to them, and he says that that is a game changer because people think, “Oh, gosh. This person is really interested in having my work.” Rather procrastinating and thinking, “Oh, well they’re probably at lunch now. Oh, it’s a bit late to phone up. I’ll phone up tomorrow.” By which time he has engaged with the client, and is further on in the process, so I think that was a really, really good message to me and other entrepreneurs that actually the client, and actually getting that work, is the priority.” Exercise – “I do exercise. I go to the gym three or four times a week in the winter. In the summer I go swimming in a local lido because I love swimming outdoors and go walking, and I go body boarding when I’m down in Wales at our house down there. Have Hobbies – “I do lots of sewing and crafty things and cooking. I love reading. I love going to the cinema and the theatre, all things like that, so lots of things.” Learning from Challenges -“When you’re an entrepreneur there are challenges, there are things, and you think that you’ve hit a brick wall, or you have got a very difficult client. I had a very difficult situation that was resolved last week. I will say it was two hours before we presented a windup order to the high courts and finally we were paid. That took a lot of strength. I felt that I grew as a person for it because it would have been very easy to just back down from this bully, and we were completely in the right. That’s clearly a strategy that this particular company has to avoid paying which is unacceptable.” Getting Past Challenges – “There are occasions when I have just switched everything off and I’ve gone for a swim, or gone for a walk, gone to make a cup of coffee. There’s nothing wrong with that.” To Contact Susan LinkedIn “My full name is Susan Heaton-Wright and you can find me on LinkedIn.” SuperstarCommunicator.com The post Susan Heaton-Wright: CapsuleCRM, GarageBand, Female Entrepreneur Association and Hobbies first appeared on POWER to Live More.
Mohammed ElKhamissy: The Power of Living with Intention
2026/01/23
In 2001, Mohammed Elkhamissy found himself a new graduate in the wake of 9/11 and unable to get a job. He had grown up playing soccer competitively and had initially thought he would go on to play professionally. When that didn’t come to fruition and he found himself unemployable as a Middle Eastern American in a post-9/11 world, he began reaching out to connections. He wound up working for a construction company and discovered that he had an affinity for the business. He now lives in Qatar and runs one of the top construction companies in the region.  Though Mohammad had achieved a lot of material success, when he discovered that his young daughter had been diagnosed with cancer, everything he had prioritised to that point vanished. He found that it didn’t matter how great his car was or how successful he was. Through his study of Stoicism, he discovered that living positively is a choice and that when you live authentically, you can give back immensely. In the wake of his daughter’s illness, Mohammad has taken his commitment to giving back to new levels. He is an angel investor and is setting up a female entrepreneurship fund that will debut next year. Today Mohammad and I discuss the power of connections and how they can feed your personal journey. He touches on the importance of prioritising what makes you happy and why choosing optimism can impact the world around you. He shares his routines and tools for staying focused, how his life changed with his daughter’s illness, and why being “average” is an asset. We also discusses the importance of choosing to live with intention and how it can fuel success. “Setbacks are always going to be there… but when they hit, it’s how you treat them. You don’t quit.” Mohammed Elkhamissy This week on The Power to Live More Podcast: Why Mohammed approaches his life with the principles of a professional athleteHow to design your life to be freeThe principles that Mohammed lives by that motivate and fuel his successThe power of choosing to live your life with intentionHow choosing optimism or pessimism allows you to give back in new waysHow seeing himself as average helped him break out of his preconceived notions about successMohammed’s tools for when things don’t go according to planWhy you should always be learning and why it’s vital to translate what you learn into actionWhy you should do what really makes you happyHow Mohammed organises his day for personal success Resources Mentioned: Evernote GTasks Oura Ring SpotifyWhoop   Connect with Mohammed ElKhamissy: Mohammed Elkhamissy Website Mohammed Elkhamissy on LinkedIn Mohammed Elkhamissy on Instagram  Join the POWER to Live More CALM Membership Attention home-based coaches and consultants! Laura McClellan: Productively Build A Life That Matters
2025/12/19
Laura McClellan is a lawyer, writer, productivity enthusiast, and tech geek who is passionate about encouraging women in their individual journeys as people, wives, mothers, and citizens. Laura hosts The Productive Woman podcast, a weekly show about productivity for busy women that helps the listener find the tools and encouragement they need to manage their time, life, and stress so they can accomplish the things they care about and create a meaningful life. Laura also facilitates mastermind groups and offers productivity coaching for women who are seeking support, encouragement, and accountability in identifying and pursuing their goals. Laura joins me today to reveal how her interest in increasing productivity started at an early age, why she has always considered herself as a little bit of a ‘productivity nerd’ since she was very young, and how that interest developed into creating time management and organisation strategies as her life got busier. She discusses the obligations on most women to do many things well and why it’s vital to learn ways to manage not just your time, but your energy and your attention so you can do the things that really matter to you. Laura also shares the reason she started The Productive Woman podcast and why she loves being able to connect with women all over the world who all have a common goal. “A lot of times we feel like whatever we’re doing, we’re not quite doing it right, and that everybody else has it figured out and we are the only ones that are struggling, but if we put our heads together, we can share ideas, and every one of us will have a better opportunity to make the kind of life we want.” Laura McClellan This Week on The Power to Live More Podcast: How she honed her productivity skillWhy you should set priorities for yourselfHow she created a life that matters to herWhere her podcast topics come fromWhy she loves the honesty and supportive atmosphere of her groupWhy awareness and intentionality are critical to productivityThe importance of having a goalHow she integrates her family life and her professional goalsTools and apps that Laura uses to stay productiveWhat a great day looks like for LauraWhy she always looks for something to be grateful for, especially in these challenging times Resources Mentioned: 7 Habits of Highly Effective People: Powerful Lessons for Personal Change book by Steven R.
