What’s Next For AZ Gun Rights? with Michael Infanzon - GunFreedomRadio EP539
2026/09/30
Our guest today is Michael Infanzon. Michael is the Chief Lobbyist and a Director for the Arizona Citizens Defense League, Managing Partner of EPIC Policy Group, and one of the most familiar faces at the Arizona Capitol when legislation affecting the Right to Keep and Bear Arms is being debated.
1) The 2026 Arizona legislative session is behind us, and AzCDL tracked many of bills affecting firearm owners—including bills that passed the Legislature but were ultimately vetoed. Looking back at the session, what were the biggest victories, disappointments, and lessons for Arizona gun owners?
2) Most people think a lobbyist's work happens only while the Legislature is in session, but AzCDL has also been investigating local firearm ordinances and potential violations of Arizona's firearms-preemption laws. What are you finding at the city and county level, and why does state preemption matter to an ordinary gun owner who may never set foot inside the Capitol?
3) On Saturday, October 17th, AzCDL will hold its 21st Annual Meeting of Members in Phoenix, bringing together Arizona gun owners and Second Amendment leaders. Tell us about this year's event, what attendees can expect, and why gatherings like this are about much more than simply preaching to the choir.
(This year's speakers include Keynote Speaker, Mark Walters, GOP Nominee for Lt. Governor Sine Kerr, AZ State Director of Gun Owners of America Cyn Ladd, and Second Amendment Foundation founder Alan Gottlieb. From 11:am – 4:pm at Elks Lodge #335 - 14424 N 32nd Street, Phoenix, AZ 85032)
4) You spend your days watching legislation, regulations, court decisions, local governments, and the people and organizations working on all sides of these issues. Looking ahead to 2027, where do you see the biggest opportunities—and the biggest challenges—for the Right to Keep and Bear Arms in Arizona?
5) Finally, AzCDL has always emphasized that protecting rights isn't a spectator sport. For the Arizona gun owner who says, “I care about the Second Amendment, but I don't know what I can actually do,” where do you tell them to start?
6) How do people follow your work, listen to the Copper Dome Update: 2A Edition, and get involved with AzCDL?

Re-gaining Our 2A Rights with Knox Williams - GunFreedomRadio EP535
2026/09/28
Our guest today is Knox Williams. Knox serves as Senior Fellow for American Justice Policy at the America First Policy Institute (AFPI).
In 2011, he helped form the American Suppressor Association, dedicated to suppressor advocacy and education.
During his years of advocacy, he has worked on suppressor reforms across the country, including expanding lawful suppressor ownership and hunting, reducing NFA wait times, and ultimately eliminating the federal $200 transfer tax on suppressors.
And, in 2025, Knox was elected to the National Rifle Association Board of Directors.
1) One of the biggest developments in hearing protection has been the elimination of the $200 federal transfer tax on suppressors for firearms. And now we're seeing litigation challenging what remains of the National Firearms Act's regulatory structure. What has actually changed for gun owners, what hasn't, and where does the fight over the NFA go from here?
2) As a Senior Fellow for American Justice Policy at the America First Policy Institute, talk to us about the huge news coming out of the country of Colombia, where President Abelardo De La Espriella (ah-beh-LAR-doh deh lah es-PREE-eh-yah) just lifted the country's ban on owning guns, calling it "unfair" that law-abiding citizens have been left defenseless as criminals arm themselves "to the teeth." It would seem that they're following the American lead, by recognizing firearm ownership is about deterring crime and personal and family protection.
3) There is more big news brewing with AFPI's recent amicus brief filed in the Viramontes v. Cook County Supreme Court case. What is this case and how significant might it be for American Gun Owners?
4) Your work now spans the American Suppressor Association, public policy at AFPI, and the NRA Board. Looking at the Second Amendment landscape from all three perspectives, what do you see as the next major opportunities—and challenges—for firearm owners and the organizations representing them?
5) How do people follow you?

2026/09/07

Charlie is also one of the organizers of the annual Amm-Con workshopping Event for 2A Media.
1) You are one of the organizers for an annual event called AMMcon. What is it and who should plan to attend?
2) Each year this event grows in attendance and prominence. Who are some of the Speakers lined up for 2026?
3) What are some of the key topics covered at Amm-Con?
4) Do you have a favorite moment from past Amm-Con Events – something significant that you learned that moved the needle on your own media work?
5) Amm-Con is hosted by SAF and along with their signature event, the Gun Rights Policy Conference. Tell us about the GRPC! (Fri, Sept. 25-27 in Dallas at the Westin Dallas Fort Worth Airport hotel.)

Unity, Elections, & Your Rights with Sergio Arellano - GunFreedomRadio EP534
2026/09/04
Our guest today is Sergio Arellano. Sergio is the Chairman of the Arizona Republican Party, a U.S. Army combat veteran, public servant, and business leader. His career spans veterans’ advocacy, government, grassroots organizing, and political leadership, with a focus on strengthening communities and civic engagement.
1) Bringing the Republican Party together may have never been a bigger challenge than it is now, leading up to the 2026 Primary Election. What is your strategy for bringing unity to the State GOP?
2) You have said that the Arizona Republican Party is going to engage voters like never before. What does that look like on the ground, and what are you doing differently in 2026?
3) You’ve also said that listening is the most important part of effective communication. You’ve been listening to the grassroots and the boots on the ground across Arizona—what are they telling you? Are Republican voters energized, or are efforts to discourage and divide them having an impact?
4) While gun rights are fundamentally a nonpartisan issue, the reality is that elections have a direct impact on the policies that protect or restrict them. What is at stake for Second Amendment rights in Arizona in this election?
5) Let’s talk about the Republican slate Arizona voters will see this November. What do you believe these candidates offer Arizona, and what is your case to Independent voters who may not identify with either political party?
6) For conservative voters who want to see these candidates succeed in November, what can they do between now and Election Day to make their voices heard and participate effectively?
7) How do people follow your work?

Elections Impact Your Rights with AZ Senate President Warren Petersen - GunFreedomRadio EP533
2026/09/01
Our guest today is AZ Senate President Warren Petersen. Senator Petersen is Arizona Senate President and a longtime legislator, attorney, and business owner. A third-generation Gilbert resident, he champions limited government, free markets, fiscal responsibility, and individual rights. And now is the Republican candidate for AZ Attorney General.
1) In the 2026 AZ Primary Election for AZ Attorney General, you won the Republican vote by a landslide. This coming November, you will face off against the Democrat incumbent Kris Mayes. For Independent voters who may not identify strongly with either party, what distinctions do you want to draw between Mayes’s approach to the Attorney General’s office and yours?
2) Who has stepped forward to publicly endorse your campaign, and what do those endorsements tell Arizona voters about the coalition you’re building?
3) Our audience is deeply concerned about the Right to Keep and Bear Arms. What authority and influence does Arizona’s Attorney General have when it comes to protecting - or challenging - our Second Amendment rights?
4) You’ve emphasized the importance of voting early. Why do you believe early voting matters in this election, and what would you say to voters who traditionally wait until Election Day?
5) How do people follow you, learn more about your campaign, and get involved?

The Front Lines of Freedom with Cam Edwards - GunFreedomRadio EP532
2026/08/26
Our guest today is Cam Edwards. Cam is the host of the long-running Cam & Company podcast and editor of BearingArms.com. For more than two decades, he has been one of the nation's leading voices covering the Second Amendment, tracking legislation, court cases, and the policies shaping the rights of law-abiding gun owners across America.
As a resident of Virginia, Cam has also recently experienced firsthand the extremism of the gun control lobby and their attacks on our Second Amendment rights.
1) Virginia has often been viewed as a bellwether for gun policy. After Democrats regained control of state government, what happened during the last legislative session, and what lessons should gun owners in other states learn from Virginia's experience?
2) You've spent more than twenty years covering the Second Amendment. Looking across the country today, where do you see the biggest legislative and legal battles unfolding, and which ones concern you the most?
3) You recently interviewed Director of the AFT Robert Cekada and Professor Rob Leider at ATF Headquarters about the evolving role of the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives. Tell us about that.
4) How do you see the ATF's role changing, and what should law-abiding gun owners understand about the agency's current direction?
5) Between major court decisions, state legislation, and federal regulatory actions, what trends do you believe will most shape the future of the Second Amendment over the next few years?
6) How do people follow your reporting, listen to Cam & Company, and stay informed through BearingArms.com?2)

Safety Starts With You with Matt Osborne - GunFreedomRadio EP530
2026/08/21
Our guest today is Matt Osborne. Matt is a 12-year CIA and State Department veteran with extensive experience in security, threat awareness, public safety, and combating human trafficking.
Today, as a certified USCCA instructor, Matt equips individuals and families with practical skills to recognize potential threats, make good decisions under pressure, and take greater responsibility for their personal safety.
1) The Supreme Court has issued several significant Second Amendment decisions in recent years. For the average person who simply wants to be able to protect themselves and their family, what do these rulings mean in practical terms?
2) National right-to-carry legislation continues to be debated in Washington. Why does reciprocity matter to ordinary Americans who travel across state lines, and what should concealed carriers understand about the patchwork of laws that exists today?
3) Carrying a firearm is only one component of personal protection. What does being a truly responsible concealed carrier look like, and what skills should someone develop beyond simply knowing how to shoot?
4) Your intelligence and security background taught you the importance of recognizing danger before it becomes a crisis. What practical situational-awareness habits can individuals and families begin using today—at home, in parking lots, while traveling, or simply going about their daily lives?
Winning the Long Game with Alan Gottlieb - GunFreedomRadio EP 529
2026/08/19

For over 50 years, Alan has been pioneering landmark litigation and grassroots advocacy to protect Americans' Second Amendment freedoms.
1) For four decades, the Gun Rights Policy Coalition has been the go-to event for Second Amendment advocates, bringing together the nation’s top 2A attorneys, activists, and industry leaders to strategize and strengthen our fight for freedom. Tell us about the 2026 event.
2) The Second Amendment Foundation has been behind many of the most significant court cases in modern history. Talk to us about some of the most recent legal victories and why they matter for our grandchildren’s generation.
3) You've often said that protecting our rights requires more than winning lawsuits. What role do grassroots activism, education, and individual engagement play in preserving freedom?
4) As you look ahead, what do you see as the greatest opportunities—and the greatest threats—to the Right to Keep and Bear Arms over the next decade?
5) After dedicating your life to this cause, what advice would you give to the next generation of Second Amendment advocates who will carry this work forward?

The Lessons of History with Chris Cheng - GunFreedomRadio EP527
2026/08/13
Our guest today is Chris Cheng. Chris is an American sports shooter, Second Amendment and diversity outreach advocate, and History Channel's Top Shot Season 4 Champion. He is also the author of the memoir and guide for beginning shooters book, Shoot to Win. And now, Chris has authored The Purple Heart Battalion, which tells the story of Japanese American soldiers of the 100th Battalion / 442nd Regimental Combat Team during World War II—men who fought with extraordinary courage for America while many of their own families were unjustly incarcerated back home.
It’s a historical novel about love, honor, survival, and what it means to belong to a country that has not always fully believed you do.
1) Many people know you as a champion shooter and Second Amendment advocate. How did your journey evolve into writing a historical novel about one of the most remarkable military units in American history?
2) Give us an overview of The Purple Heart Battalion. What story are you telling, and why did you feel it needed to be told now?
3) Executive Order 9066 dramatically changed the lives of more than 100,000 Japanese Americans during World War II. Can you explain what it was and how it affected the families whose stories inspired your novel?
4) You intentionally use the term "incarceration camps" rather than the more familiar "internment camps." Why is that distinction important, and what does that language help us better understand about this chapter of American history?
5) Historical fiction has a unique ability to make history personal. What do you hope readers will learn about courage, citizenship, civil liberties, and the importance of preserving freedom from the story of the 100th Battalion and the 442nd Regimental Combat Team?
6) The legacy of these soldiers is one of extraordinary sacrifice despite extraordinary adversity. What can their story teach Americans today about unity, patriotism, and serving a nation even during times of division?

Dawn Before Darkness with Liz Lazarus - GunFreedomRadio EP526
2026/08/10
Our guest today is Liz Lazarus. Liz is the author of Free of Malice, Plea for Justice, Shades of Silence, and most recently Dawn Before Darkness.
1) Dawn Before Darkness begins as a romance before transforming into a legal thriller and suspense novel. What inspired this story, and what real-world issues were you hoping readers would recognize beneath the fiction?
2) One of the central themes is the exploitation of vulnerable seniors through the guardianship and conservatorship system. Why is this an issue more Americans should understand, and what warning signs should families watch for?
3) Dawn survives because she's prepared, keeps her wits about her under pressure, and has multiple layers of protection—including technology, a loyal dog, and ultimately the ability to fight back. What message were you hoping to send about personal safety, resilience, and self-reliance?
4) Without giving away every twist, your novel reminds readers that corruption often involves networks of people rather than a single bad actor. Why was it important to explore how systems can fail—and how determined individuals can expose the truth?
5) How do people follow you?
