God Is Good (TOV: week 1)
2026/09/20
God created everything good because creation reflects its Creator—and God alone is good. Human sin began by doubting God’s goodness. Sin distorted our view of God and one another, bringing suffering and death. God did not abandon His creation. He revealed Himself to Moses as compassionate and gracious, slow to anger, abounding in love and faithfulness, forgiving sin, and administering justice. Israel returned to this revelation as the picture of God’s character. Jesus Christ is the complete picture of God. Through His life, death, and resurrection, Jesus reveals God’s compassion and grace, provides forgiveness, satisfies justice, and begins restoring what sin has cursed. We cannot achieve goodness through moral effort; we can only receive and reflect the goodness that originates in God. Only God is good, and goodness originates in Him. As we see and trust God’s goodness revealed in Jesus, we can embody His goodness for the sake of others.
Rooted in Praise and Worship (Rooted Rhythms: Week 10)
2026/09/13
What do you do when the battle in front of you is bigger than the strength inside of you? Jehoshaphat shows us a battle rhythm: seek God, pray, fast, bow, worship, praise, then advance in obedience. The battle belongs to the LORD. Praise does not make God King; it declares that He is King. Worship surrenders our posture before Him. When the diagnosis, report, relationship, or opposition feels bigger than you, remember the victory that Jesus has already won. Look up, bow down, lift up, sing out, and move forward. Assign your praise and worship to lead your advance.
Rooted for the Fight (Rooted Rhythms: week 9)
2026/09/06
What if the greatest threat to your faith is not that the enemy is stronger, but that he can convince you to fight alone? Jesus has already secured the victory, yet Scripture warns that we have an adversary who seeks to distract, divide, tempt, and devour. Like the builders in Nehemiah 4, God has given each of us a mission, a sector, something to build, and people to stand beside us. We were never designed for isolated Christianity. We are called to cover one another, rally to one another, and together take the fight to the enemy. The question is not whether we will get attacked, but what we will do when the attack comes. Who is covering you? Who are you covering? Who will hear your alarm, and whose alarm will cause you to rally? We do not fight for victory; we fight from victory. When we get attacked, we sound the alarm. When the alarm sounds, we rally. You were never meant to fight alone.
