If you feel like you're running on empty or staring at a situation that feels completely dead, this message is a powerful reminder that God is still on the throne, and He’s not finished with your story yet. The Truth About Truth - Pt 1 - Scripture’s Truth and Authority In a culture where truth is often treated as relative or subjective, why do we hold the Bible above all other authorities? How can we be confident that Scripture is truly "truth without any mixture of error"? In Part 1 of our series The Truth About Truth, we unpack the foundational anchor of our faith: the divine inspiration and ultimate authority of God’s Word. We explore why a God who cannot lie gave us a holy text that is living, active, and fully trustworthy. In Part 1, We Cover: God’s Unchanging Character: Why God's omniscience and truthfulness mean He is never wrong (Psalm 119:160, Titus 1:2). The Origin of the Bible: What it means for Scripture to be "breathed out by God" and spoken by men carried along by the Holy Spirit (2 Timothy 3:16, 2 Peter 1:21). Defending Biblical Authority: 5 compelling reasons we can trust the Bible—including the testimony of Jesus, internal unity, historical archaeology, fulfilled prophecy, and its life-changing power. 5 Pitfalls of Competing Authorities: How believers throughout history (and today) fall into the trap of elevating human traditions, cultural biases, or personal feelings above Scripture. Lessons from Church History: Looking at the Bereans in Acts 17 and Martin Luther’s famous stand at the Diet of Worms. Key Takeaway & Challenge: It is essential to believe the Bible is God's Word, but that belief must transform our daily lives. Are you actively reading it? More importantly—are you walking in obedience to it? "Your word is a lamp to my feet and a light to my path." — Psalm 119:105 🔗 Connect & Resources: Website: fbcconroe.org Get Connected: fbcconroe.org/getconnected Don't forget to Subscribe and leave a review if this episode encouraged your faith!

Set Apart - Pt 9 - In a world defined by division and hostility, how are believers called to respond to a culture that feels increasingly alien to their faith? In this message, we look at one of the most surprising commands in the entire Bible. When the people of Israel were stripped of their homeland and carried off as exiles into Babylon—a cruel, pagan empire—the prophet Jeremiah gave them an astounding directive: do not fight them, do not isolate from them, but bless them. While the New Testament highlights love as the supreme Christian virtue, Jeremiah 29 provides one of history's greatest real-world demonstrations of what that love looks like under extreme pressure. Join us as we explore what Jeremiah’s message to the exiles teaches us about overcoming cultural hostility, seeking the peace of our communities, and living with radical, active love in a modern "Babylon." 📍 Connect with First Baptist Conroe: Website: fbcconroe.org Get Connected: fbcconroe.org/getconnected Social Media: @firstconroe If this message encouraged or challenged you, please subscribe, leave a review, and share it with someone who needs to hear it!
