Joy in Humility | Philippians 2:1-11
2026/10/04
What if the path to true joy runs straight through humility? In Philippians 2:1-11, Paul challenges us to set aside selfish ambition and conceit, and to consider others more significant than ourselves. That cuts against everything our culture tells us.
The ultimate example of humility is Jesus himself. Though he was fully God, he emptied himself, took on flesh, and submitted to death on a cross — an act so brutal and shameful in the Roman world that the word "cross" was considered a curse. He who created and sustains all things became a curse for us. That is the depth of his love.
And here is the stunning reversal: because of that humility, God exalted him above every name. Every knee will bow. Every tongue will confess. The way up is the way down. Unity in the church is not accidental. It flows from humility. Come join us as we dig into what it looks like to live that out together.

Joy in Jesus | Philippians 1:19-30
2026/09/27
What are you truly living for? This Sunday, we dove into Philippians 1:19-30 and were confronted with one of the most powerful declarations in all of Scripture -- "For to me, to live is Christ, and to die is gain."
Paul wrote those words from a Roman prison, yet he was not imprisoned. His joy was not tied to his circumstances. His confidence rested entirely in Christ. That kind of freedom is available to every believer.
Whether you are walking through suffering, searching for purpose, or simply going through the motions, this message is a wake-up call. Christ is not just part of your life -- He is meant to be your life.

Praying With Joy | Philippians 1:3-11
2026/09/13
What does a joyful prayer life look like? This week, Pastor Hayden walked us through Philippians 1:3-11, where Paul writes from a Roman prison with a heart full of gratitude and joy for the believers in Philippi. Not duty. Not obligation. Joy.
One truth from this passage stands out above the rest: "He who began a good work in you will bring it to completion at the day of Jesus Christ" (Philippians 1:6). Your salvation is not dependent on your performance. God starts it, God sustains it, and God finishes it. That is the gospel.
If your prayer life feels dry or distant, the invitation this week is simple: get to know the people around you, pray for them by name, and rest in the finished work of Jesus Christ. He is enough.

Joy? | Philippians 1:1-2
2026/09/06
We are diving into the book of Philippians this fall, and the very first thing Paul wants us to know is this: who you are in Christ is the most important thing about you. Not your circumstances. Not your status. Not what you own.
Paul wrote Philippians from prison, and yet his entire letter is about joy. Not happiness, which depends on what is happening around you, but a supernatural delight in the person, purposes, and people of God.
Grace and peace are not things we manufacture from within. They are gifts from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ (Philippians 1:2). That is where joy begins.
Join us as we walk through Philippians together this fall. What you are filled with fuels you, and we want to be filled with joy.

Two Ways of Seeing | Psalm 36
2026/08/30
What are you truly seeing? In Psalm 36, David paints a striking contrast between two ways of experiencing life -- seeing in the darkness, where sin speaks loudly and God seems absent, and seeing in the light, where God's steadfast love reaches to the heavens and His faithfulness never fails.
The darkness shrinks our world. When we live without the fear of God, we begin to believe our own lies and flatter ourselves into thinking we are fine on our own. But God's steadfast love, faithfulness, righteousness, and justice expands our vision far beyond what sin can offer.
Jesus is the fountain of life and the river of delight. He quenches every thirst, satisfies every hunger, and invites us out of darkness and into His light. The question is simple: are you hearing "thus saith the Lord" in your life, or something else?

I Just Wanna Celebrate!!! | Psalm 100
2026/08/23
We gather not because we are perfect people, but because we serve a perfect Savior who loves us.
That truth alone is worth celebrating! Psalm 100 calls us to make a joyful noise to all the earth. When you come to worship, something inside you should be overflowing with gratitude. His steadfast love endures forever, meaning nothing you do can undo his love for you. That unchanging love is our anchor in a world full of uncertainty and darkness. We serve God fully and gladly, with all our heart, soul, mind, and strength.
Come ready to celebrate. Come ready to encounter the God who is good, whose love never fails, and whose name deserves our praise.

God is in Control? | Psalm 46
2026/08/16
When the world feels like it is falling apart, Psalm 46 reminds us of something we know in our heads but struggle to hold in our hearts -- God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble.
This week at Crosspoint, we dug into one of the most comforting psalms in all of Scripture. The truth is simple but profound: God is in control AND He cares for you personally. Not from a distance, but right in the middle of your storm.
"Be still and know that I am God." -- Psalm 46:10. Whatever you are carrying today, that is the word for you.
Confessing truth is easy. Living it out is hard. Come join us as we learn to move these truths from our heads to our hearts.

Praying with Honesty, Wisdom, and Grace | Psalm 109
2026/08/09
What do you do when someone you trusted deeply betrays you? This week we dove into Psalm 109, one of the Bible's most raw and honest prayers, where David cries out to God after being wounded by someone he only showed love to.
The hard truth? The New Testament calls us to something radically different than revenge. Jesus, Paul, Peter, and James all point us in the same direction: forgive as you have been forgiven, and let God handle justice. That does not mean being a doormat. It means trusting that God sees what you see, and more.
Here is the freedom in all of this: you can be completely honest with God about your pain, your anger, and what you want done. He can take it. But the goal is to be more like Jesus when he prayed: "Not my will, but Father, your will be done."
Produce Where You Are Planted | Psalm 1
2026/08/02
Where you plant yourself determines what you produce. Psalm 1 opens the entire book of Psalms with a striking contrast: the person rooted in God's Word, stable and fruitful like a tree planted by living water, and the person without that foundation, tossed like chaff in the wind.
The blessed life is not built on your own truth, your own goodness, or the approval of others. It is built on Christ, whose righteousness is given to you, not earned by you. That is the foundation that holds when everything else shifts.
This Sunday we walked through Psalm 1 and asked a simple but serious question: what are you building your life on?
A Sin Confessed | Psalm 51
2026/07/26
What if the sin you think is hidden is actually shaping everything around you? This week, Kevin walked us through Psalm 51, the raw confession of a man who had everything and still chose destruction. David's story is a mirror, and it asks us a hard question: are you willing to look?
The good news is this: your sin is worse than you think, but God is more merciful than you can imagine. His mercy does not quietly follow you like a lost lamb. It pursues you the way a lion pursues its prey. Relentlessly. Purposefully. With everything.
And when God forgives, He forgives with purpose. You are not saved just to sit. You are made new so you can point others toward the same mercy that found you. Who in your life needs to hear that?
Pessimism or Praise? | Psalm 103
2026/07/19
Do you spend more time focusing on what is wrong than on what God has done? Psalm 103 is a life-changing reminder that we were made for praise, not pessimism. David had to remind himself over and over again to bless the Lord, and so do we.
The benefits are staggering. Every sin forgiven. Every transgression removed as far as the east is from the west (Psalm 103:12). A God who is merciful, gracious, slow to anger, and abounding in steadfast love.
We do not bless the Lord enough because we focus on the wrong things and forget the God things. This week, start counting the benefits. Name them one by one. The whole universe is already praising Him. Get in on it.
Join us as we continue through Psalm 103 together.
From Blessing to Worship | Psalm 67
2026/07/12
What if the blessings God has given you were never meant to stop with you?
In Psalm 67, we discover a powerful truth: God blesses us so we can bless others, leading them to worship Him. Just like God called Israel to be a conduit of His grace to all nations, we're called to pass on the blessing of salvation to those around us. The equation is simple but profound—God blesses His people, His people bless the nations, and the nations worship God.
Here's the challenging question: When was the last time you shared Christ with someone who desperately needs Him? Research shows less than two in five American Christians have shared the gospel in the last six months. God's blessing of salvation, forgiveness, and eternal life wasn't meant to end with us, it was designed to flow through us to a world in desperate need.
Don't be like Uncle Leo who kept the blessing for himself. Be the blessing God created you to be.
Still Into You | Psalm 116
2026/07/05
When was the last time you were truly amazed by God? This week we explored Psalm 116 and discovered a powerful truth: our vision of God has grown too small. Not because God has changed, but because we've stopped seeing Him for who He truly is.
The psalmist sings "I love the Lord" not out of obligation, but because he's encountered a God who bends down to listen, who inclines His ear to hear our prayers. Imagine that: the God who spoke galaxies into existence kneels down to hear you. He doesn't just tolerate your prayers, He delights in drawing near.
And here's the incredible part: before we could ever lift the cup of salvation, Jesus first drank the cup of God's wrath on our behalf. At the cross, love and faithfulness met. Righteousness and mercy kissed. Your soul delivered from death, your eyes from tears, your feet from stumbling... all because of Him.
A greater vision of God produces a greater passion for God. Come see Him clearly, and everything changes.
When the Stars Disappear | Psalm 42
2026/06/28
When life feels overwhelming and God seems distant, where do you turn? This week we explored Psalm 42—a raw, honest prayer from someone who felt spiritually dry and surrounded by doubt.
The psalmist teaches us something powerful: it's okay to bring our complaints, our tears, and our confusion directly to God. We don't need to clean ourselves up first. Come thirsty. Come messy. Come exactly as you are. The key isn't pretending everything's fine... it's learning to talk to yourself with truth instead of just listening to your fears and doubts.
Even when circumstances don't change, we can remind ourselves: "Hope in God, for I shall again praise Him." Our Savior knows what it's like to thirst, to be mocked, and to feel forsaken. He's not absent in your suffering. He's near to the brokenhearted.
What are you telling yourself today? Make sure it's the truth about who God is and how much He loves you.
