God Changes Times and Seasons
2026/09/13
Sequestered in Babylonian exile Daniel continues to look to "Elohim" to be his God. Even while Daniel serves the great king Nebuchadnezzar as a faithful counsellor he never allows the Babylonian gods to replace his loyalty to Jehovah. In our passage today we hear of Daniel's fervent relationship with "the God of Heaven" even as he lived in a wildly, different religious and cultural milieu.
I Give You Thanks

Psalm 138 is a psalm of gratitude for Gods care in troublesome times. Life presents us with many challenges but God is faithful throughout them all. The Psalmist declares that the journey of faith is not an easy road but Gods steadfast love and faithfulness carries us along amidst all of the pitfalls that come our way.
Do You Love Me?

Failure is not the end of the story when Jesus calls us to follow Him again. This Sunday, were excited to hear from our Youth Director, Noah Virgo, and one of our Young Adults, Wesley Hyatt as they share in the preaching of Gods Word. Both have been growing as young leaders within our church and have served faithfully throughout the summer. Were grateful to see God developing and using the next generation of leaders at Weston Park.

The crossing of the Red Sea and the defeat of the Egyptians is viewed as a marvellous victory of God over the forces of oppression and chaos, so it is no surprise that the miraculous intervention is followed by a spontaneous burst of praise. Songs are written and sung; dances are performed in celebration of Yahweh and instruments including the tambourine are employed in the acts of praise, worship and adoration. Everyone is invited to join into the party and celebrate the birth of the nation of Israel. It is an invitation which spans the centuries as we are also invited to make the song our own as the writer suggests I will sing to the Lord for he has triumphed gloriously

The Great I Am
2026/06/14
Who are you? We often define ourselves by our careers, accomplishments, failures, or the roles we play in life. In Exodus 3, Moses is a man struggling with his identity after forty years in the wilderness. But before God tells Moses what to do, He reveals who He is. Through the burning bush, God's call, and the powerful declaration "I AM WHO I AM," we discover that our confidence is not found in ourselves but in the God who is with us. Join us as we explore how knowing who God is changes everything about who we are.
From Hiddenness to Remembrance
2026/06/07
It can be argued that Moses is the main character in the Old Testament story. Moses is the one that God communicated his Torah to on the top of Mount Sinai. Moses is the one who loeads the children of Israel from Egypt to the promised land. Yet, in the story of Moses there are long periods of hiddenness when God is in the background of his life. Perhaps it is the same for all of us - there are times of intensity and times of absence in our divine/human relationship. The key is to be able to navigate these different seasons and maintain our spiritual focus through it all.
