Description
Christ Presbyterian Church (christpca.net) began in 2005 as a small Bible study made up of people who wanted to see a new Christ-centered church in the Temecula Valley. That original vision is still intact and on display every Sunday. When you worship with us, you are brought face to face with Jesus—his life, his death, his ministry for us today at the right hand of God, and his coming again. We fervently believe that our lives need to be shaped by the message of Jesus, what the Bible calls “the gospel,” because it is only as we are formed and reformed by that good news that we are able to love God and love our neighbor.

Coming Home Again (Ruth 1:6-22) - The Book of Ruth
2026/09/27
Last Sunday we left Naomi in Moab after ten years, three graves, and seemingly little reason to hope. But then word came that the LORD had visited his people and given them food. What follows is a remarkable journey as Naomi and Ruth go to Bethlehem and consider what it means to find our way home again.
Unpleasant Beginnings (Ruth 1:1-5) - The Book of Ruth
2026/09/20
We begin a new sermon series through the Book of Ruth. It's a riveting story that begins amid incredible sorrow, as a pleasant life is flipped upside down. Life for Naomi proves hard, God seems quiet, and yet, underneath it all, the Lord our God is at work in the hearts and lives of ordinary people.
A Hard Day's Night (Psalm 8) - Summering in the Psalms
2026/09/13
What raises up a man brought low? Psalm 8 brings us to a tired man who by every right ought to be asleep, but is out under the stars. But in the quiet of a starry night, David looks up and marvels at the majesty of the God whose glory fills the heavens and the earth, and then wonders why such a God would be mindful of little ol' us.
The Name Above All Names (Psalm 7) - Summering in the Psalms
2026/09/06
What do we do when our name is dragged through the mud?? Psalm 7 is sung by a man accused of evils he did not commit. David does not first argue his case publicly, he runs first to the LORD, surrendering his name and reputation and trusts that God will be his refuge and warrior.
What Our God Hears (Psalm 6) - Summering in the Psalms
2026/08/30
What do we do when trouble piles up, our strength gives way, and our God seemingly gets the slows? Psalm 6 gives us words for such days. With worn-down body and soul, surrounded by enemies, and weary from waiting, David does not bury his grief or clean himself or his sorrows up before praying to the Lord. Instead, he cries out for grace, appealing not to what he deserves but to the steadfast love of the Lord.
Praying at Dawn’s Burning Edge (Psalm 5) - Summering in the Psalms
2026/08/23
Some mornings begin with trouble already waiting for us. Psalm 5 gives us David's prayer for such a morning. Before facing his enemies or whatever else the day might hold, David brings his words and even his groanings before the Lord. He remembers who God is, asks to be led in God's way, and waits expectantly for him.
A Song For the Sleepless (Psalm 4) - Summering in the Psalms
2026/08/16
Psalm 4 is a song for the dark, restless nights when fear, anger, and uncertainty feel overwhelming. David refuses to let those voices have the final word. Instead, he turns to the Lord: God hears his people, sets them apart, and the light of countenance shines upon them. Psalm 4 shows that faith doesn’t require our circumstances to change before we can have joy and peace.
Becoming What We Believe (2 Corinthians 3:4-18) - Not Part of Series

Rest For the Weary (Psalm 3) - Summering in the Psalms
2026/07/26
Psalm 3 gives us a song for the nights when fear, regret, and accusation deny us rest. David is surrounded by enemies, burdened by the consequences of his own failures, and confronted with the devastating claim that God will no longer save him. Yet faith answers what it sees and hears with: "But you, O LORD.” Psalm 3 does not promise that our troubles will disappear; it assures us that God is our shield, glory, and the lifter of our heads.
The Lord Reigns (Psalm 2) - Summering in the Psalms
2026/07/19
Every day the world feels increasingly unstable. Headlines bring uncertainty, and fear and our lives carry burdens that never make the news. Where do we find solid ground? Psalm 2 answers: behind all the noise of our world stands an unshaken throne with a righteous King, Jesus, risen and reigning.
The Blessed Life (Psalm 1) - Summering in the Psalms
2026/07/12
We begin our Summering in the Psalms series with Psalm 1. Before teaching us how to praise, lament, confess, or rejoice, this opening psalm lays two paths before us. One leads to flourishing; the other to ruin. Psalm 1 invites us to consider not merely what we believe, but what shapes our desires, our decisions, and the direction of our lives.
Jesus’ Invitation to Rest (Matthew 11:25-30) - Not Part of a Series
2026/07/05
In Matthew 11, Jesus praises the Father for hiding His redemptive plan from the proud, but makes Himself known to infants and the humble. All of this lays the foundation for Jesus’ invitation to rest. Like the infants, Jesus is gentle and humble and offers this rest (His grace) to those who know they are weary and burdened by sin and life in a fallen world.
Grappling With Grace (Genesis 32:22-32) - Not Part of Series
2026/06/28
Jacob is a man who in many ways has everything he's ever wanted, yet he still hasn't found what he's looking for. And there in the darkness of that moment, our God chooses to do a curious thing: wrestle with Jacob until the breaking of the dawn.
His Heart Beats (Mark 16:1-8) - The Gospel of Mark
2026/06/21
We have reached the end of the Gospel of Mark. It is a strange ending. No triumphant march. No ribbon tied neatly on the story. Just three women, an empty tomb, and a Gospel that closes with trembling and silence.
