https://ontargetpodcast.caMod Marty’s got the records, the instincts, and a weakness for a tune with a bit of bite. This week on On Target, the ’60s and ’70s collide in a heady mix of mod, Northern Soul, R&B, and roots reggae, with tough rhythms, brassy flourishes, and just the right amount of grit. These are sounds built to shake a room, snap a few fingers, and put a little strut in your step. Tune in and get yourself On Target.-----------------------------------------------The playlist is:"The Jam"Bobby Gregg- Cotton"Follow The Leader"Major Lance- Dakar"Tell Me Please"James Kirk- Guyden"He's About A Mover"Dottie Cambridge- MGM"Born To Be Wild"Wilson Pickett- Atlantic"Surfin' Boogaloo"The Soul Set- Johnson"My Sweet Thing"Nancy Wilson- Capitol"Lonely Avenue"The Great Danes- Capitol"Midnight To Six Man"The Pretty Things- Fontana"Do You Think I'm In Love"The Jaybees- RCA-Victor Canada Intl."Here You Come Running"Sugar Pie DeSanto- Checker"In Orbit"Joy Lovejoy- Checker"Love Game From A to Z"The Royal Jokers- Wingate"What About The Music"Billy Harner- Kama Sutra"Let's Hang On"Johnny Johnson & The Bandwagon- Epic"Under My Thumb"Wayne Gibson- Columbia"I Don't Know"Steve Alaimo- ABC - Paramount"Woman"Owen & Leon Silvera- Ska Beat"I Wish I Were An Apple"Derek & Naomi & Baba Brooks Band- Ska Beat"You Can Count On Me"Sammy Davis, Jr.- 20th Century

https://ontargetpodcast.caSome records have manners; others kick the door open and make themselves at home. This week on On Target, Mod Marty gives the ’60s plenty of room to misbehave, with soul, R&B, mod, and psych bringing their own brand of attitude to the proceedings. It’s a collection with character, a few rough edges, and absolutely no interest in behaving itself.
