The Life You Can't Manufacture - John 15:1-8 // Doug Connelly // 10-04-26
2026/10/06
Ever feel like you’re doing all the Christian things but still feel disconnected from God? Maybe you’re trying hard and wondering why you’re not growing. Maybe you’re unsure where to start, or your walk with Jesus feels stale. Or maybe your relationship with Him is stronger than ever, and you want to keep growing. This Sunday, we’ll open John 15:1–8 and explore what Jesus says about our life with Him as we gather together.  Gathering is important because it gives us space to worship and connect with the Holy Spirit and other believers in ways a screen can’t fully capture. Let’s make Sunday a full day of worship! After the morning service, go home, have lunch, take a nap, then come back at 6 for worship and baptisms. We need this, church! Invite someone to join you.
Help is on the Way - Part 2 - John 14:18-31 // Doug Connelly // 09-27-26
2026/09/28
Have you ever asked God to guide you, then gone through the rest of your day without giving Him another thought? What does it look like to keep in step with the Holy Spirit when you’re anxious, facing a decision, or struggling to change? This Sunday, we’ll continue that conversation in John 14:18–31 and make room for the Holy Spirit to move in our hearts. Join us at one of our three services. Who are you sharing the gospel with personally this week? Who could you invite to church with you? And would you pray with us that the Holy Spirit moves powerfully in people’s hearts this Sunday?
Help is on the Way - John 14:12-17 // Doug Connelly // 09-20-26
2026/09/22
What if the reason you’re exhausted isn’t because you aren’t trying hard enough, but because you’re trying to do something you were never meant to do alone? In John 14:12–17, Jesus makes some astonishing promises. What do these promises actually mean, and how could they change the way you face temptation, difficult relationships, anxiety, and everyday decisions? Join us this Sunday as we discover why Help Is on the Way. We’ll also take Communion together and remember the sacrifice that made this promise possible. Newer to Stonehill or ready to get connected? First Step is happening this Sunday as well. Join us at Mountain View High School at 8:30, 10:00, or 11:30 AM. Bring someone with you!
Jesus. Period. - John 14:5-11 // Doug Connelly // 09-13-26
2026/09/14
With so many voices telling us what to believe and how to live, how can we know if we are following the right one? This Sunday, we’re continuing through the Gospel of John and looking at John 14:5–11. Jesus makes one of His clearest and most powerful statements…one that has practical implications for how we navigate our everyday lives.
The Hope of Heaven - John 14:1-4 // Jonathan Murrell // 09-06-26
2026/09/07
The scene is filled with fear and tension... Jesus preparing His disciples for their next chapter in life as He approaches His death and departure. But Jesus leaves them with a promise that brings hope to their troubled hearts. But this promise is not only for the disciples, its for us as well as we try to navigate life's ups and downs. When we trust God and spend time with Christ, we will live a life that points the world to the hope it desperately needs. We hope you are able to make it to church this Labor Day weekend as we jump back into out series in the Book of John. Invite a friend and we'll see you this Sunday!
A Church That Is Going - 2 Corinthians 5:14-21 // Doug Connelly // 08-30-26
2026/09/07
Ten years. Countless stories. One faithful God. Stonehill is turning 10, and this Sunday, August 30, we are celebrating in a BIG way! We’re going to party like it’s 2016 as we remember everything God has done and look ahead to where He is leading us next.
A Church That Is Gathering // Jake Garrett // 08-23-26
2026/08/24
Jesus spent significant amounts of time gathering in community with others. He modeled for us what it looks like to live life in community and why it is so important. When we gather in community as Jesus gathered in community, we become a church that is becoming more like Jesus.
A Church That Is Giving // Doug Connelly // Romans 12:1-13 // 08-16-26
2026/08/17
Something is always shaping our priorities, relationships, and impact. Are we simply following our culture, or allowing Jesus to transform us? This Sunday, Pastor Doug continues our series A Church That Is as we study Romans 12:1–13. We will consider what it means to offer our everyday lives to God, find our place in His family, and reflect Jesus to others. With school back in session and routines settling in, this is a great time to reconnect if you have been away this summer. This series is important for who we are becoming as a church, so please make every effort to join us in person each week.
A Church That Is Growing // Doug Connelly // Mark 3:13-19 // 08-09-26
2026/08/11
A church can grow larger without growing deeper. Attendance can increase while our love, dependence, and resemblance to Jesus remain unchanged. That creates a personal tension for all of us: am I just attending church, or am I actually becoming more like Jesus? So how does Jesus define real spiritual growth and what would it look like in your life? Join us this Sunday as we begin our new 4-week series, A Church That Is… Stonehill partners and attenders, we encourage you to join us in person each week as we celebrate what God has done, share vision for the future, and step into what He is calling us to next. This series will lead us to our 10th Birthday Bash on Sunday, August 30! It’s also a great time to invite someone. They’ll hear the good news of Jesus, meet new people, and discover how they can get connected. Let’s celebrate what God has done—and respond faithfully to where He is leading us next.
Make Jesus Visible // Doug Connelly // John 13:31-38 // 08-02-26
2026/08/04
Everyone talks about love. We want it, celebrate it, post about it, and expect it from others. But as Tina Turner famously asked, “What’s love got to do with it?” Apparently, quite a bit. 😊 But what if we have misunderstood what love really is and what it is supposed to reveal? This Sunday, Pastor Doug will open John 13:31–38 and unpack one of Jesus’ final and most challenging conversations with His disciples. These words may change the way you think about your faith, your relationships, and what the world sees when it looks at your life. We cannot wait to see you at one of our three services this Sunday at 8:30, 10:00, or 11:30 AM!

Feeling exhausted trying to keep up, prove yourself, or carry the weight of life? This Sunday, Pastor Doug will teach from John 13:1–17 as we discover how Jesus offers something different. In a world that tells us to promote ourselves, Jesus shows us a better way. We'll also celebrate Communion together as we remember the One who picked up a towel before He went to the cross.
When Seeing Isn't Believing // Doug Connelly // John 12:37-50 // 07-12-26
2026/07/13
Why do people ignore what they know is true? We all do it. We know what we should do, but something keeps us from taking the next step. Pastor Doug teaches through John 12:37-50, we'll discover why information alone doesn't change us, how our hearts can slowly become hardened, and how genuine faith can bring freedom, purpose, and direction to everyday life.
