ABOUT THIS MESSAGE:How does someone go from loving Jesus to leaving Jesus? In John 6, over 5,000 people are following Jesus — and by the end of the chapter, nearly all of them have walked away. This passage doesn't just explain why people leave Jesus. It asks each of us three questions that every follower of Jesus has to answer. Jesus may be hard to follow, but He is impossible to replace. ABOUT THIS MESSAGE: Friendship is hard. Whether you're new to Denver trying to break into locked-in friend groups, a new parent just trying to survive, or an empty nester wondering where everyone went — most of us feel like we're spinning our wheels when it comes to real friendship. In this message, we compare the world's vision of friendship with the Word's vision. The world says friendship is optional, transactional, and increasingly digital — and it's leaving us lonelier than ever. But Scripture shows us something better: friendship that is essential, intentional, and in-the-flesh, rooted in the truth that we are made in the image of a relational God.
