The Supremacy of the Son
2026/09/27
Hebrews 1:1-4 | JD Summers Your view of God is the most important thing about you, especially your view of God’s self-revelation in the person of Jesus Christ. A small Christ is not sufficient to save - we need a Christ who is fully God and fully man, the radiance of the glory of God, the exact imprint of his nature. We need a savior who has done all that needs to be done to deal with sin. This is our Lord, Jesus Christ!
Jesus, the Definitive Revelation of God
2026/09/20
Hebrews 1:1-2 | JD Summers All people have a desperate need to see Christ rightly. To do so, we should consider the reality that God has chosen to reveal himself by speaking, first through his human servants, the prophets, and second and most significantly through his Son, Jesus Christ. Jesus is the Word of God, the perfect manifestation of God himself. Jesus reveals the Father by veiling deity in human flesh and dwelling among us. Let us draw near to God through his Son Jesus Christ!
Introduction: The Message of Hebrews
2026/09/13
Hebrews | JD Summers As followers of Christ today, we need the book of Hebrews. We need the exhortation to endure in the face of sin from within and trials from without. Because Jesus is better, we must press on in our pursuit of Christlikeness. As we walk through this book, we will seek to see Jesus more clearly, take his warnings more seriously, and press on to greater maturity. Let us fix our eyes on Jesus as we run the race set before us!
Ministry That Pleases God
2026/09/06
2 Corinthians 2:14-17 | Dalton Vansell What is the right approach to local church ministry? All churches have some sort of methodology for how they engage in ministry, but some are more biblical than others. Ministry that pleases God focuses on praising him for the grace that he gives us in ministry. It delights in serving as a slave led in triumphal procession by the conquering victor, Jesus Christ. And it proclaims the aroma of Christ by proclaiming his message, the good news of the Gospel. Let us wholeheartedly embrace this ministry in our lives!
Rod Cundiff Ordination Service

1 Peter 5:1-4 | JD Summers What should we expect from our elders? And how should we pray for them? Peter helps us understand the role of an elder as a pastor and overseer, one who leads the flock through the ministry of the Word and through his own example of godliness. The role of an elder is a high calling as men work as under-shepherds of Jesus Christ, caring for his beloved bride. As we in the church follow the leaders God has given us, let us do so with Biblical love and affection, supporting their ministry as they point us to our Savior.
Holy Vows to the Holy God
2026/08/23
Leviticus 27 | JD Summers The book of Leviticus closes with a chapter on keeping vows, reminding the nation of the importance of keeping their word to follow God’s commands. All those who worship the promise-keeping God must keep their promises to him. These promises are acts of devotion and worship where we dedicate parts of what we have in order to glorify God. Let us consider how we might worship God by keeping our promises, walking in step with his commands as followers of Jesus Christ.
Walking in Faithfulness With the Faithful God
2026/08/16
Leviticus 26 | JD Summers Israel was called by God to obey his commands, and they publicly declared their desire to do so. But what would happen if they didn’t? Scripture shows us that God is faithful to bless obedience to his Word, but he is also faithful to judge disobedience. Though believers are not under the Mosaic law, God still uses their obedience and disobedience as means to bless and discipline as a part of sanctification. But even as God deals with our sin, he also faithfully restores those who repent and turn to him for forgiveness. Praise be to our faithful Savior!
Life In Relationship With God
2026/08/09
Leviticus 25 | JD Summers When God dwelt in the midst of his people, it meant that their entire lives had to be made holy and set apart. This holiness extended to their livelihoods as he called them to walk by faith in their planting, buying, and selling. The years of Sabbath and Jubilee would have flown in the face of normal practices and would have tempted the Israelites to doubt God’s provision for them. But God called them to trust in his provision for them, for they truly had nothing of their own; they had received everything from God. Isn’t that true for us today as well? Let us walk by faith, holding all things with an open hand and obeying our Lord no matter what.
A Fruitful Life of Gentleness
2026/08/02
Galatians 5:22-23 | Steven Parkin What does gentleness mean? Is it good or bad? While gentleness has largely been redefined as weakness, it actually describes strength under control. Our Lord Jesus Christ exemplified gentleness by coming as a servant and shepherding his people. Our Savior is gentle and lowly, condescending to use his omnipotent strength in a manner that lovingly builds up his flock. As we seek to walk in Christ-likeness, let us put on gentleness towards one another.
Affections that Affirm Biblical Ministry
2026/07/26
1 Thessalonians 2:17-20 | Bret Capranica A life of faith in Christ is not devoid of emotion. Rather, it should be filled with affection for one another that affirms the truths of the gospel. It is demonstrated by true love for our brothers and sisters in the body of Christ, with an eye both to our current fellowship and to our presentation as blameless before the judgment seat of Christ. As Christ unites believers in the mission of the church, let us join with care and love that befits our calling.
Living Before The Ever-Present Lord
2026/07/19
Leviticus 24 | JD Summers When God descended into the Holy of Holies in the Tabernacle, his holiness was not limited to the inner sanctum. Instead, his holiness pervaded the Tabernacle, the areas around it, and even extended to the edge of the camp of Israel. This meant that all of Israel had to live in light of God’s holy presence and deal with the consequences of his righteous judgment. But even though their sin and ours deserves judgment, God graciously gives consequences according to the measure of our sin. And in sending Jesus Christ, God took the full weight of judgment for our sin on our behalf. Let us praise our holy Savior!
God's Holy Times
2026/07/12
Leviticus 23 | JD Summers God not only sanctifies his people and his place, he even sanctifies his own time, setting apart certain times for holy remembrance. God’s sovereignty pervades all aspects of life, including the way we spend our time, and so as we live in the fear of God, the way we use our time must reflect his holiness. Let us prioritize gathering together to worship and remember God’s work of salvation!
Preserving Holiness
2026/07/05
Leviticus 21-22 | JD Summers If something on earth is holy, it is because God has made it holy. He sets apart his holy priests to care for his holy Tabernacle to manifest his own holiness in the world. And once he has sanctified something, we must keep it holy, walking by faith as we preserve holiness on the earth. Prioritizing holiness demonstrates that we fear the Lord and see him as sovereign and awesome in holiness. Out of a heart of reverence for God, let us strive to walk in holiness.
Gathering Worshipers for the Lord
2026/06/28
Psalm 96 | Brian Warne The supreme purpose of missions is not merely providing for physical needs or helping people to suffer less. Missions exists because worship doesn't. Even as we greatly desire to see people from all over the world come to faith, the overarching purpose for missions must be for the glory of God to increase. He is worthy of all worship, and in his sovereignty he has provided a way for people to be saved through faith in Christ. Let us joyfully engage in his mission for us in sharing the gospel to the ends of the earth!
Comprehensive Holiness in All of Life
2026/06/21
Leviticus 19 | JD Summers The call to holiness doesn’t just impact certain aspects of life - it is meant to be comprehensive. Leviticus 19 shows us how holiness is demonstrated in how we relate to God, to one another, and to the world. Let’s consider how God wants to change us, so that we grow to reflect his holy character in all of life.
