Description

“Look at the Lamb of God, who takes away the sins of the world.” - John 1:29. God has called us to our region to be a people devoted to Him. We look at Him, He comes, and the world sees His glory. When we gather in worship we see Him as the One Who comes and inhabits the praises of His people. When we pray we see Him who meets with the ones gathered in His Name. When we proclaim the gospel we see Jesus as the exalted Christ Crucified. When we live in community with each other we see Him as the One revealed through His Body. And this will continue to be our call, in the season to come, until all see Jesus. Until all see Jesus in Ames, in our region, and in the world. Until all see Jesus in His beauty on the college campus through Chi Alpha. Until all see Jesus amongst the next generation through Kids’ Pointe and LifePointe Youth. Until all see Jesus in our region through outreach and discipleship in Jesus School. Until all see Jesus amongst adults thru LifeGroups and Lifestyle Christianity. Until all see Jesus through worship, art, and media and the Creative Team. Until all see Jesus amongst the nations and our giving and going in world missions. This is why we exist. That all may see Jesus. We will look at Him, He will come, and the World will see Him! We all are beholding the glory of the Lord and being transformed into the same image, from glory to glory. - 2 Corinthians 3:18 More info at www.lifepointe.cc

Walking Like Jesus
2026/10/27
Is the way you live on Monday actually connected to what you believe on Sunday? Ephesians 5 says you are beloved, you are light, and you carry the wisdom of Christ. That is not just a Sunday morning truth. It is the foundation for every single step you take. Dive into what it really looks like to walk in His love, His light, and His wisdom every day of the week.
Guest Pastor Brad Lewis - Strength & Weakness, Pride & Humility
2026/10/19
God has a unique plan and purpose for every person, and He has given each of us specific gifts to fulfill that calling. But pride is one of the greatest threats to living out what God designed us for. The life of Samson shows us how a person can be extraordinarily gifted and still fall short of their full potential because of unchecked pride. The same gift can produce completely different results depending on whether it is rooted in humility or driven by pride. A humble leader serves others, while a proud leader craves control. A humble giver blesses without expecting anything in return, while a proud giver gives to be seen. God actively opposes the proud but pours out grace on the humble. When our gifts are surrendered to God and wrapped in humility, there is no limit to what He can accomplish through us.
Walking in our Identity
2026/10/12
Following Jesus is not a one-time decision but a lifelong journey of stepping into the identity Christ has already purchased for us. Two common lies can derail this journey: believing that sin has no impact because Christ already died for it, and believing that sin is our core identity. Scripture pushes back on both. Paul's letter to the Ephesians gives us a practical framework rooted in three steps: learning God's ways, putting off the old self, and putting on the new self. This is not passive Christianity. It is a daily act of trust, choosing to walk in who Christ says we are, one step at a time.
The Growing Church
2026/10/05
Growing in faith was never meant to be a solo journey. Ephesians 4 calls every believer, not just new Christians or leaders, to actively grow up into maturity in Christ. This growth happens primarily through real relationships with real people in a committed local community. Four foundational virtues make this possible: humility, gentleness, patience, and bearing with one another in love. God has also placed specific gifted leaders in the church to equip believers for this work. Without community, gifts and graces God has placed on your life can go dormant. Active love is always love in motion, and there must be an outlet for what God pours into us. The church God is building is not made up of passive spectators but of people who show up, stay connected, and love one another well.
A Prayer for the Church
2026/09/28
In Ephesians 3, the Apostle Paul offers one of the most powerful prayers in all of Scripture, and it reveals five clear intentions God has for your life. He wants to strengthen you through His Spirit, dwell in you daily, help you comprehend the width and depth of His love, allow you to experience that love personally, and fill you with a faith that believes He can do immeasurably more than you can ask or imagine. These are not distant hopes. They are active desires God has for every believer. The power behind all of it is not yours to manufacture. It is already at work within you through Him.
God's Wisdom on Display
2026/09/21
From before the foundation of the world, God had a plan to gather people from every nation under the lordship of Jesus Christ. That plan, once hidden, has now been fully revealed through the gospel. According to Ephesians 3:10, the church exists not only as a community of believers but as a declaration of God's wisdom to the spiritual realm. This wisdom is displayed through the victory of Christ, the kindness of God, genuine unity among believers, and the dwelling presence of the Holy Spirit. The enemy cannot stand against any of these realities. Whatever uncertainty or hardship surrounds us, we carry something that surpasses it all. The church is not a human invention. It is God's eternal plan, and it will outlast every revolution that comes our way.
Guest Pastor Stephen - Prayer and Fasting
2026/09/14
Faith is not just about showing up to church. It is about building a genuine, growing relationship with God. Through the story of the disciples failing to cast out a demon in Matthew 17, we see that faith must be developed, not assumed. Prayer is the courtroom of heaven where believers bring their needs before God with passion and authority. Fasting quiets the flesh, clears the channel, and prepares the heart to receive God's wisdom and power. Together, faith, prayer, and fasting are not separate religious duties but a unified way of life. God is not looking for perfect people. He is looking for those who will seek Him with their whole heart.
The Dwelling Place of God
2026/09/07
God's vision for the church is not a building or a brand, but a living household of peace where people are truly known and loved. Ephesians 2 describes believers as fellow citizens and members of God's household, built together on the foundation of Christ as the cornerstone. Through the cross, Jesus broke down every wall of hostility, bringing peace between God and people, and between people themselves. This peace is not cheap or artificial. It requires repentance and a genuine turning toward Christ. The church is the place where God chooses to dwell, and that makes it the most significant community on earth. True belonging means being known, not just attending. Every believer has a role in making others feel that they belong.
The Love of Christ
2026/08/31
Life has a way of pulling us off course, and without a clear foundation in the gospel, we drift further than we realize. Ephesians 2 gives us four anchoring truths: Jesus is perfect, we were dead in sin, Jesus saved us, and He redeems us for a purpose. None of us can perform our way into God's presence, and none of us measure up when compared to Christ. But that is exactly the point. God, compelled by love and rich in mercy, acted on our behalf even when we were spiritually dead. Grace is undeserved, unearned, and freely given. You are His workmanship, created with intention, and He has never lost sight of who He made you to be.
Compelled by Christ
2026/08/24
You were not made to simply survive or drift through life without purpose. In Ephesians 1:15-23, Paul prays that believers would have the eyes of their hearts opened to three powerful realities: a hope that changes how we see the future, a vision for the riches of Christ in the people around us, and an awareness of the immeasurable power available to every believer. These are not abstract concepts. They are living convictions that the Holy Spirit makes real in the life of anyone who asks. Christ is exalted at the right hand of the Father, actively filling His people with Himself, and calling them into something far greater than the status quo. You were made for something more.
Focused on Jesus
2026/08/17
Ephesians 1 opens with a breathtaking vision of who every believer already is in Christ. Paul identifies seven spiritual blessings that belong to every Christian: chosen, holy, blameless, adopted, redeemed, forgiven, and sealed with the Holy Spirit. These are not rewards for good behavior but gifts rooted entirely in what Christ has done. The things that capture the attention of your heart will determine the direction of your life. When you lose sight of these realities, confusion, anxiety, and shame tend to fill the gap. The answer is not trying harder. It is seeing more clearly who you are in Him.
The Boundless Love of Christ
2026/08/10
What do grief, bitterness, and a reluctant prophet have to do with the grace of God? More than you might think. Jonah chapter four is one of the most honest and human passages in all of Scripture, and it has a lot to say about how God meets us in our anger, our pain, and our unresolved bitterness.
Get Up and Go
2026/08/03
Jonah chapter three tells the story of a reluctant prophet who finally obeyed God and walked into a city he would rather have avoided. His obedience was not clean or confident. It came after running in the opposite direction, being swallowed by a fish, and crying out to God from the darkest place imaginable. But when he finally went, God used him to bring an entire city to repentance. That story is not just ancient history. It is a picture of what faithful, imperfect obedience looks like for every follower of Jesus today.
Hearing God in the Dark
2026/07/26
What does it actually mean to hear from God, and what happens when we run from what He is asking? The story of Jonah in chapter 2 gives us one of the most honest and relatable pictures in all of Scripture of what it looks like to resist God's voice and what it takes to finally surrender to it.
What Does This Cost?
2026/07/20
What does it really cost to disobey God? The Book of Jonah gives us one of the most honest and relatable answers in all of Scripture. Jonah was called by God to preach to Nineveh, and instead of obeying, he ran in the opposite direction. He thought he could manage the cost of his disobedience with a simple boat ticket. He was wrong.
