A Wellness Check: A Discussion of the Trump Administration & More
2026/02/02
We kick off Black History Month talking politics in this week's edition of the podcast. In fact, we are doing "A Wellness Check" for all of our listeners, as we are approaching the second year of the Trump Administration. We begin in the first segment talking about the recent I.C.E. murders of Renee Good, and Alex Pretti, along with several others, just within the past 30 days. We also give the Trump Administration a grade for the lackluster job that they have been doing since being in office. And, taking a look at the "No King" Protests that were taking place last summer, and the one this coming up in March, and asking the question, especially of those who voted for Trump back in November, what has changed about their view of him from then and now. We believe that there are many people who voted for him that have "buyers remorse" and they are upset, because they aren't getting what they were promised from Trump, and now they want to take it to the streets. We've posted the video for this episode on our Thinking Out Loud Radio and TV Youtube Channel, so check it out and feel free to drop your comments there and we will be responding to each one of them. PLUS, we've got a dynamic Thought of the Week that we've entitled, "The Big If" where we talk about the divine partnership that we have with God in the fulfillment of our purpose and destiny. That, God sometimes partners with us in order for us to receive blessings from Him. God's has an expectation of us, that requires our participation in this divines process. The questions is, what are you going to do? We ask this question and a lot more in this week's "Wellness Check" Edition of the Thinking Out Loud Radio Show.

2025/01/30
As a programming note, this episode was recorded on MLK Day, but due to technical difficulties we are airing this week. It's the top of the year, and we are back with a brand new episode. In this week's WHENS & LOSSES - MLK Edition of the Podcast, we are talking the Detroit's Lions catastrophic loss to the Washington Commanders as their historic and record breaking season comes to a crashing end. We ask the question, is this season a failure, or is there some positives takeaways that we can help us cope with loss, and we also share with you our answer. We also talk the Inauguration of the 47th President of the United States. As it is our country's tradition every four years to inaugurate the new president, it is that time again. President Elect Donald Trump took office on January 20th, which ironically is also the national holiday for Dr. Martin Luther King. In this week's edition, we ask the question, did you watch the inauguration, and if so, why or why not? Finally, we discuss the significance of the MLK Holiday, especially during these tumultuous times as a nation. Ironically, we share an excerpt from a memorable interview we had with Martin Luther King III just a few years ago. PLUS, we share a powerful and poignant excerpt from a famous sermon delivered by Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. entitled, "A Knock At Midnight." This is a prophetic commentary of the times that we are living in, even though this message was delivered over almost 60yrs ago.
