Really this is just an excuse to revisit the beach volleyball scene again. Peter Veunnasack and Michael Denniston have over a hundred episodes of watching essentially the same movie over again on ORIGINAL REMAKE. But when it's Tom Cruise... they don't complain. Too much. They are just glad that the critical community has embraced repeating one's self (a podcaster's bread and butter) in acknowledging TOP GUN: MAVERICK as the savior of cinema and one of the ten best pictures of 2022. Thirty years of Bill Pullman losing to The Gere... AGAIN. For SOMMERSBY which is a film about willful ignorance we interrogate each other on our knowledge of this film and just how handsome we are willing to admit that Richard Gere is. That's it.
