Exodus: Who Brought You Up Emmanuel Roldan Download

It can be tempting to think of the Ten Commandments as just a list of rules given by a God who is far removed from the problems and concerns of his people. When we remove the commands from their context, they sound like arbitrary rules. And yet, there's a story behind these commandments. And, as Pastor Emmanuel explains, knowing the story helps us better hear the invitation behind the story. Tune in to learn more.

What is God doing in those moments when we find ourselves in the wilderness? We may be tempted to think that God is absent or unaware. God’s people in Exodus 17:1-7 certainly seem to think so. Verse 7 makes this especially clear. Could it be that God is not only aware of our situation, but also working for our good? Tune in to this sermon by Pastor Emmanuel as he speaks on what God does in the wilderness.

When God liberates his people from Egypt, they enter the wilderness. And while they are there, they are hungry for bread. Once again, they enter a situation where they are faced with scarcity. So, they complain. We might call them ungrateful, hard-headed, or just plain faithless––but could it be that something else is happening? Could it be that they are in the process of learning to trust God for everything they need? Tune in to learn more about what God does when his people complain in the wilderness and why he does it.

Have you ever wondered what God does when he saves us? What exactly happens in salvation? We know that we don't automatically go to heaven. We also know that God doesn't just leave us here. Could it be that God is creating something new in our lives and in our world through his saving work? Tune in to learn more as Pastor Emmanuel speaks on Exodus 14:19-31.

We often get used to comfortable descriptions of who God is. Most of the time, we tend to make God in our own image for our own comfort and convenience. And yet, Exodus shows us a God who is different than what we had imagined. Moses learns three things about God, and these three things matter greatly for us today as well. Tune in to learn more.

It can be tempting to think that everything that happens is somehow a result of what God wants. Some look at the terrible things that happen around our world and say things like, "Well, that must be what God wanted." But is that really the case? Exodus 1:8-2:10 contrasts God's desires for his world and the desires of Pharaoh. We will come to see that God and Pharaoh have very different agendas. Nevertheless, God is committed to his plans even in the midst of great darkness and turmoil. Tune in to learn more.

Romans 9, 10, and 11 show us that God is faithful even if his very own people have been unfaithful. Many rarely stop to consider how we can see God's faithfulness. Romans 11 shows us how we can know that God is faithful. Tune in to this Sunday morning sermon by Pastor Emmanuel to learn more.

Is faith really only a set of propositions? Or is a way of feeling about certain things? Or is it about something entirely different? Tune in today's sermon from Romans 10:5-10 to hear about what faith is and how it comes to us.

What does God do when his people reject him? Through Paul the Apostle, God reveals a small glimpse of his character, his heart, and his response to rejection. Tune in to learn more as Pastor Emmanuel preaches from Romans 9:1-5 and speaks about God’s faithful love in the midst of rejection.

Many things claim to be powerful and effective. Most of the time we roll our eyes at these things because we think that someone is trying to sell us something. So, what do we make of the claim the book of James makes when it speaks of prayer as being powerful? Tune in to learn more as Pastor Emmanuel speaks on the power of prayer.

We are both fascinated yet repelled by the lives of hoarders. We judge, criticize, and distance ourselves while at the same time overlooking a different type of "hoarder." James exposes the type of hoarder who hoards wealth at the expense of others. Tune in to learn more about how God responds to those who hoard wealth while ignoring the well-being of their neighbor. #hoarders #inspiration #money

The biggest problems often have the smallest beginnings. In James 3, James warns the church about the disproportional power of the tongue. What’s the solution James provides?
