The deceased was identified as Dennis Owen Baker, 30, of Crystal River. Detectives determined the last time Baker had been seen alive was on the evening of Dec. 23, 1985, at approximately 8:30 p.m. He was at a friend’s residence in Crystal River and had made plans to visit a local bar. The vehicle has never been found; however detectives received information regarding sightings of this car not long after the murder occurred.
