Ep. 416 - The Zeta Project - The Wrong Morph
2026/10/03
One of the most anticipated reviews in the history of the podcast takes place on this episode of the DCAU Review as Liam and Cal finally wrap up their last review of The Zeta Project! This week the hosts look at "The Wrong Morph" which for unknown reasons wasn't aired in the US and comes before the actual series finale in the timeline, leaving it barely connected to the main plot of Zeta searching for his maker. The entire episode turns into quite the celebration of mediocrity in a fittingly average final episode. The hosts also preview next week's re-review of an early Batman Beyond episode and much more on this week's celebratory episode of the DCAU Review!

The Good Brothers continue their month-long celebration of the 30th Anniversary of Superman: The Animated Series' debut on the Kids WB! with the promised second look at Darkseid's invasion of earth with part one of "Apokolips...Now!" The hosts discuss a plot that very much lays the groundwork for storytelling that continues all the way up to the finale of Justice League Unlimited with some background on Apokolips vs. New Genesis, Orion's origin, and some eerie foreshadowing for one memorable character death. Plus the hosts talk a mixed back of inconsistency from the animation team, some great music from composer Kristopher Carter and some final on-screen appearances from cast members. Plus the hosts look back at what they scored this episode originally and try to determine if those scores will stick after next week's review of Part II! All of this and more await on this week's all new DCAU Review!

Ep. 410 - Justice League - In Blackest Night, Part I (Revisited)
2026/08/08
It's a sort of homecoming for episode 410 as the Good Brothers continue their celebration of the DCAU Lanterns with a look back at part one of the Justice League season one episode "In Blackest Night." In this re-review, the hosts give a deeper dive into the plot of one of their first reviews of Justice League in an episode that much like last week's review, finds John Stewart being framed for a crime he didn't commit! Although this time, John isn't proclaiming his innocence to the dismay of his fellow Leaguers. The hosts discuss a plot that feels like the writers were still trying to establish who the characters were at their core, animation and visuals that are relied upon heavily for several action sequences, a soundtrack that invokes some classic DCAU themes and the militaristic nature of our true episode villains and more! Plus a breakdown of the connection to The Zeta Project via the voice cast and a preview of next week's episode await you on this new episode of the DCAU Review!

The hosts also discuss the slight improvement on visuals through some new settings and more action-packed sequences, some music that invokes the use of the themes in Batman: The Animated Series , the table being set for season two with a mysterious clown and Boss Thorne making an enemy of Batman and a voice cast that really outdo themselves for the finale. Ep. 407- Elseworlds - Batman Caped Crusader - The Killer Inside Me
2026/07/11
After taking a break to celebrate America's 250th anniversary of declaring their independence, the Good Brothers are back and ready to march forward with the remainder of the month being dedicated to wrapping up season one of Batman Caped Crusader, just weeks before season two drops! This week the hosts pick things up where they left off after the acid attack on D.A. Harvey Dent left us with a cliffhanger, this week's episode "The Killer Inside Me" watches Harvey's expedited descent into madness and bloodlust. The brothers discuss the decision to veer from the normal versions of Two-Face and whether doing more than just switching which side of his face is scarred does a disservice to the character. The hosts once again discuss the stiff and at times lifeless animation for the show, but also discuss some fun Batman The Animated Series Easter Eggs. Also discussed is the decision to make Batman unlikeable, Harvey as ruthless killer and a DCAU alum's performance that saves the entire episode at times. All of this and more await on this week's DCAU Review!
