Zack Polanski Loses By-Election
2026/10/09
Jeremy Kyle unpacks the breaking news overnight as Labour has won the Holborn and St Pancras by-election. Camden Council leader Sagal Abdi-Wali secured victory with 12,292 votes. Green leader Zack Polanski finished second on 8,928 votes—a bitter blow that raises immediate questions over his leadership. Polanski was already facing intense heat from ex-Green leaders over his failure to condemn their racist Zionism motion while public anger mounted over Green councillors in Bolton tabling a request to fly the Palestinian flag on October 7th. ADHD A major healthcare review warns the rush to diagnose children with ADHD and autism is causing real harm. With diagnosis rates soaring up to 40-fold, experts warn that mislabeling young people risks damaging their development—while a separate report warns the surge is partly being fuelled by the benefits system. The Tory identity war deepens: Robert Jenrick has sparked a furious political row after declaring that "millions and millions" of people in England are not "culturally or ethnically" English. Ahead of his 11 AM speech, Jenrick has also taken a swipe at his own party, claiming the Conservatives currently serve the wealthy rather than working families. A stern warning for the Chancellor: The Governor of the Bank of England has cautioned against a repeat of Liz Truss-style market volatility as Ministers prepare their upcoming Budget. Prison release farce: The Met Police chief has expressed fury at the "revolving door" of justice, revealing around 100 criminals a day breach their electronic tag conditions without facing penalty. It comes as an early-release prisoner who publicly praised the scheme was sent straight back to jail after going on a fresh crime spree just hours after walking free. Burnham in the spotlight: Andy Burnham faces scrutiny after overseeing a £55 million taxpayer loan to UAE-backed businesses while he was Mayor of Manchester. They are the first pieces of evidence that the Prime Minister was directly involved in decisions that favoured Abu Dhabi. Last month Mr Burnham became embroiled in a row over Manchester City after the Premier League found the club guilty of financial irregularities. Closer ties: Yesterday Burnham pledged yet again closer ties with the EU while in Berlin. Will Kemi win you back?
2026/10/08
Jeremy Kyle reacts Kemi Badenoch vowed to protect the family home from Labour saying the Tories promise NO stamp duty when you buy your house, NO mansion tax when you're living in it and NO inheritance tax when the time comes to pass it on. Couples will also be able to pass on a further £1million in assets tax-free, cutting the number who will ever pay inheritance tax by more than half. The £6billion pledge will be funded by cuts to the welfare budget. Kemi Badenoch accused Reform of wanting to take the UK backwards with outdated views on race after Suella Braverman said last week that she did not consider herself to be English, even though she was born in London. She also branded Nigel Farage's outfit weirdos and criminals - and urged its voters to come back to the Conservative fold and ruled out any pact with Reform. A small boat carrying 32 migrants was intercepted less than a mile from Dover yesterday after someone onboard….wait for it…phoned 999. Border Security Command vessels and lifeboats were scrambled just before 9am, with the dinghy located just outside Dover Harbour. However, the fact the dinghy was able to get so close to the British shoreline without being detected will raise fresh concerns over border security. Last month, Home Secretary Shabana Mahmood announced an urgent review after two boats made 'uncontrolled landings' on Kent beaches. Talking of migrant madness…A small boat migrant who was released from jail was given the keys to a taxpayer-funded home two days before he committed a sickening sex crime against a pair of young girls. Mohammed Abbas, had been sentenced for assaulting a cop when he broke into the sisters’ Cardiff home and exposed himself in July. Abbas, who claims to be Palestinian, arrived on a dinghy from France in March. But by June he was behind bars on remand before being given a fine and community service. Abbas was then released and moved into a £250,000 two-bedroom house in Cardiff provided by the Home Office. He was the only occupant at the time. At Cardiff crown court last month, Abbas admitted two charges of engaging in sexual activity in the presence of a child for the purpose of obtaining sexual gratification. Kemi rules out Reform UK Tory pact
2026/10/07
Kemi Badenoch, the leader of the Conservative Party, was pressed about whether she would consider collaborating with Reform UK if it came down to it. Her answer was an emphatic no chance. Some say she is painting herself into a corner, whilst others think the water is too muddy between the two parties for reconciliation and coalition. Talk presenter Jeremy Kyle speaks to: Shadow chancellor of the Duchy of Lancaster Alex Burghart, deputy leader of Reform UK Richard Tice, Talk's international editor Isabel Oakeshott, former Conservative special adviser Charlie Rowley, commentator at the Mail on Sunday Dan Hodges, former chancellor of the exchequer Nadhim Zahawi, and the Israeli government spokesperson for the prime minister's office David Mencer. The Iron Dome Lady
2026/10/06
Jeremy Kyle reacts as a police and crime commissioner has come under fire for saying that police are being diverted from 999 calls to deal with anti-migrant protests while seemingly ignoring the amount of resources poured into welcoming these migrants when they reach Gosport. Yesterday we showed you the police escort and the amount of ambulances on standby. Donna Jones, police and crime commissioner for Hampshire and the Isle of Wight, revealed that around 200 officers from seven forces had been pulled off crime-fighting duties to manage protests in Gosport. Tensions are rising over national security after American officials revealed that the US pulled its nuclear-capable B1 bombers from RAF Fairford amid threats of an Iranian drone attack. It follows claims in a Sun exclusive that a group spotted near the Gloucestershire base may have acted as a decoy to distract security forces ahead of a larger, Iran-backed plot. Meanwhile, Andy Burnham is considering delaying a critical decision on UK defence spending, raising questions over Britain’s commitments to NATO as the Cabinet reviews national security budgets. Great timing Andy! Turning to Migrant Madness - An Afghan asylum seeker who fatally stabbed an innocent dog walker, tried to murder his landlord, and attacked a 14-year-old boy has been handed a….wait for it…a hospital order. In a separate case, a small boat migrant who tried to break into the Israeli Embassy with knives just two weeks after arriving has been jailed for life. And an Iraqi national facing deportation has been granted permission to stay in the UK under European human rights law, after successfully arguing that the immigration process was "too stressful." Billionaires with a combined net worth of £120 billion have begun leaving the UK, driven out by Labour's tax increases on high earners and private wealth. To the Conservative Party Conference now, where Kemi Badenoch is being dubbed the Iron Lady after unveiling a ten-billion-pound British "Iron Dome" air defence system to shoot down enemy missiles. The conference also saw a surprise appearance from Jeremy Clarkson, who took aim at the Government, asking: "Why would anyone start a business in the UK now?" On welfare, Shadow Work and Pensions Secretary Helen Whately declared that minor mental health issues are "no excuse not to get a job." Shadow Chancellor Andrew Griffith pledged that a future Tory government would cut at least one tax at every Budget, with Kemi Badenoch signalling future cuts to inheritance tax. Elsewhere, Laura Trott promised to ban political activism in school classrooms, while Badenoch warned activists that the party must remain on high alert for a potential snap general election. Migrant dinghy enters Gosport
2026/10/05
The dinghies just keep coming. Gosport locals in Hampshire have staged a protest seeking to resist a dinghy carrying migrants. To get ahead of any potential disruption from residents, a dispersal order—which some are calling draconian—has been issued. Protests were largely peaceful, but some run-ins with police and flares being set off were reported. Talk's Jeremy Kyle speaks to: Deputy leader of Reform UK Richard Tice, Talk's royal correspondent Rupert Bell, shadow chancellor Andrew Griffith, former Conservative special advisor Charlie Rowley, former Conservative government minister Steve Baker, former Labour special advisor Paul Richards, chief political writer at Spiked Online Brendan O'Neill, and leader of Hampshire Reform UK Group Councillor George Madgwick. Labour's Brexit Betrayal
2026/10/02
Ian Collins reacts as Tory Leader Kemi Badenoch has gone on the attack, accusing Prime Minister Andy Burnham of quietly gearing up for a surprise snap general election as early as next May. Badenoch claimed the Prime Minister’s economic rhetoric and policy tone clearly signal an early run for a fresh mandate. At the same time, Badenoch has firmly shut the door on any right-wing alliance, explicitly ruling out any electoral pact or deal with Reform UK. However, over at Reform, Nigel Farage is seizing on Burnham’s recent stance on Brexit. Critics argue Burnham’s latest missteps over Europe have given Farage "the biggest boost of his political career," potentially paving Reform's path right toward Number 10. UK population hits new peak of 69.5million but growth slows as net migration and birth rates drop Meanwhile, the row over early prisoner releases is boiling over. Ministers are facing fierce backlash over the release of thousands of inmates in a bid to ease prison overcrowding. Shocking reports detail early-release convicts thanking the Prime Minister directly as they step out of jail—with several openly admitting to reporters they fully intend to reoffend. The UK is reportedly locked in emergency talks with European partners over critical diesel reserves following an ultimatum from US President Donald Trump. Donald Trump has demanded that the UK immediately tap into and deploy emergency oil and diesel reserves to stabilise global fuel markets. With the UK’s fuel supply chain under pressure, government officials are working overtime to prevent shortages at the pump. Burnham's Early Prisoner Release
2026/10/01
Ian Collins unpacks the latest as around 700 offenders serving sentences of up to 19 months are scheduled for release starting this morning, marking the initial phase of a government early-release scheme expected to free more than 4,500 prisoners by June. The policy has drawn fierce criticism from victim advocacy watchdogs and domestic abuse survivors, who live in fear for their safety. In one case, a survivor of abuse reported fleeing abroad ahead of her former partner's planned release. The government has officially scrapped its "one in, one out" migrant arrangement, ending the framework previously used to manage specific return and exchange agreements for asylum seekers and migrants. Conservative leader Kemi Badenoch has announced that she will ban school leavers from moving directly onto unemployment benefits upon leaving education. Separately, former cabinet minister Alan Milburn suggested that businesses and employers should begin teaching primary school pupils about work from an early age. PM Andy Burnham has indicated that holding a second referendum on the UK's relationship with the European Union remains an option. His comments have sparked political debate, with critics warning that rejoining the EU or its single market could lead to a return to free movement of people. Meanwhile - the plot thickens - Andy Burnham has suggested potential Iranian involvement regarding the recent foiled terror plot targeting RAF Fairford in Gloucestershire despite 5 suspects being released on bail. Passengers intervened to regain control of a commercial airliner following an attempted hijacking in which a co-pilot reportedly stabbed the captain. According to reports, an Israeli plumber aboard the aircraft helped stabilize and control the plunging plane using knowledge gained from aviation television programs, preventing a major disaster. And Veteran broadcaster and campaigner Dame Esther Rantzen has died at the age of 86. Following her passing, details emerged of an emotional farewell letter to her fans, sealed until her death, in which she wrote the final message: "See you on the other side." Burnham's Election Campaign?
2026/09/30
Ian Collins reacts to the latest as Prime Minister Andy Burnham has delivered what is being described as Labour's most left-wing address to a party conference since the 1970s. In it, he pledged to… Triple Lock & Social Care: Burnham confirmed plans to scrap the state pension triple lock, warning that tax rises are necessary to fund a new National Care Service. Electoral & Housing Reform: Labour is set to fight the next election on a platform to replace the First-Past-The-Post voting system. Alongside Angela Rayner, Burnham also unveiled proposals granting local councils powers to seize empty and private rental properties. Energy & EU Relations: The government announced the creation of the public "Great British Grid" to direct electricity infrastructure investment, while Burnham signalled openness to exploring closer ties with the EU, mocking Brexiteer rhetoric on national sovereignty. Meanwhile, details have emerged surrounding the arrest of five men near RAF Fairford. Authorities confirmed that one of the individuals in the group placed a 999 emergency call to police prior to the arrests being made. Police say a quantity of petrol but no explosive devices were found during searches of the vans. And The UK's controversial "one in, one out" migrant exchange agreement is reportedly near total breakdown. It comes as the Home Office is actively attempting to deport a boat migrant who gained notoriety on TikTok after calling for violence against Jewish people. Reports reveal the individual is currently housed in a taxpayer-funded three-bedroom property while legal proceedings continue. What Really Happened At RAF Fairford?
2026/09/29
Ian Collins reacts to President Donald Trump criticism over counter-terror police for releasing five men arrested over a suspected bomb plot targeting RAF Fairford. And Andy Burnham is set to scrap the pensions triple lock - he is speaking to the Labour Party faithful in Liverpool later today and you’ll hear it LIVE here on Talk. The Prime Minister will also set out plans for greater state control of water, energy and housing, saying: 'We can't go on as we are.' Is he right? Plus Peppa Pig and Mr Bean are reasons why international students choose to study here in the UK… So - what is top of the list for YOU when it comes to selling the UK? How Will Burnham Save Social Care?
2026/09/28
Ian Collins discussed the news that five men have been arrested on suspicion of preparing a terrorist act and explosive offences after three "suspicious vehicles" were reported travelling towards RAF Fairford in Gloucestershire… Donald Trump says they were 'looking to do big damage' to US forces. The plot was foiled by a farmer calling 999 in the early hours of Sunday morning. Also The Prime Minister Andy Burnham says he will fight the next election on a pledge to raise billions more in tax to fund 'free' social care - but will he have to scrap the pensions triple lock to be able to afford it? We will be live at the Labour Party Conference in Liverpool later in the show… Plus clashes in the Holborn & St Pancras by-election as Restore Britain campaigners were attacked by Stand Up To Racism protests. But they’re meant to be the good guys, right? Wake up with Talk Breakfast in full on YouTube, DAB+ radio, Samsung TV Plus or the Talk App on your TV from 6am every morning. Hosted on Acast. Labour Prepares For Early General Election?
2026/09/25
Jeremy Kyle reacts as Downing Street advisers are pushing for an early general election NEXT YEAR. Several senior members of Andy Burnham’s team believe that calling an election in the spring would give Labour the best chance of another majority. A YouGov megapoll released yesterday showed Labour would remain the largest party with 241 seats. The Conservatives would be in second place with 130 seats, better than their result in 2024, while Reform would be pushed into third place with 123 seats. In contrast, last year's megapoll showed Reform UK winning 311 seats. The number of small-boat migrants who have reached Britain under Labour is larger than the entire British Army. 781 migrants arrived on Wednesday – the highest daily tally this year. It pushed the total since the general election to 83,279 – passing the Army's 83,000 soldiers. Shadow Home Secretary Chris Philp said. 'Labour has let an entire army-sized population cross the Channel illegally, Education Secretary Lucy Powell came under fire last night after she denied that benefits claimants spend their handouts on drink or gambling. She said welfare recipients spend their 'very little' money on rent and paying household bills rather than luxuries. Kemi Badenoch this week announced plans for a crackdown on benefits, with the jobless who have paid little in taxes seeing their handouts cut by 30 per cent. The criminal justice system is prioritising paedophiles before children, Britain’s most senior police officer has said after a child sex offender was bailed to a flat near a children’s playground. The Metropolitan Police commissioner Sir Mark Rowley attacked the decision to free Zafer Dogan as “yet another example of victims being let down”. The 32-year-old had admitted taking thousands of photos of people without their knowledge before using software to turn some of them into sexually explicit images, including by digitally removing clothing. Ready For A Hung Parliament?
2026/09/24
Jeremy Kyle discusses The Leader of The Opposition Kemi Badenoch’s declaration war on Britain’s scroungers with a ruthless plan to slash welfare handouts for work-shy freeloaders. Her proposals mean anyone who hasn't put in enough shift work will see their benefit payments chopped by 30%. Meanwhile Andy Burnham has come up with his first policy that hasn’t been taken from Starmer’s playbook and that is to allow drinking in the football stands. Tells you everything about the priorities of the man. And that’s not all — the Tory leader wants to slap a strict ban on how the rest of the cash is spent. That means NO booze, NO fags, and NO flutter at the bookies on the taxpayer's dime! Meanwhile Andy Burnham wants to allow footy fans to drink in the stands again for the first time in 40 years. Sir Tony Blair has stuck his oar into the Brexit debate, urging Labour to ditch its red lines and drag Britain back into the European Union within ten years. The former Prime Minister warned not to just "re-run the debates of 2016" — demanding a total surrender to Brussels bureaucrats. Burnham Caves To Trump
2026/09/23
Jeremy Kyle reacts as The Prime Minister Andy Burnham goes all the way across the Atlantic, sits down with Donald Trump, and gets ABSOLUTELY SLAMMED over the Chagos Islands deal! Trump takes one look at it, calls it a "terrible, ridiculous deal," and now Burnham’s dragged right back to the drawing board, admitting the whole thing is under review! Fancy getting schooled on the world stage. And it doesn't end there! Burnham's over at the UN, preaching about stopping Russian disinformation and pushing for global AI rules, while secretly dropping hints that he wants to drag us straight back into the EU! And who does he blame for Brexit? "Russian outside forces!". So not the 52% of Brits who actually voted to leave? The Tories have drawn level with Reform UK for the first time in 18 months in a fresh boost for Kemi Badenoch. Labour is currently on 23% while Tories and Reform are both on 21% according to the latest YouGov poll. Earl Spencer has agreed to edit his upcoming Princess Diana memoir following legal threats from broadcaster Piers Morgan over statements alleged to be false. Piers has since rejected Earl Spencer's apology, branding the text "complete lies" and calling for all existing copies of the book to be destroyed. A heavily packed "mega-dinghy" made a 38-hour journey from Normandy across the English Channel to the UK, while monitored and escorted by the French navy. Around 60 migrants started the journey from north of Bayeux, just before 10am on Monday, and arrived in the Kent port after midnight following reports they had been bound for Gosport. Six people were arrested after anti-migrant protesters clashed with police following the crossing. Breaking Into Britain
2026/09/22
Jeremy Kyle unpacks a huge security breach at our borders where an unescorted dinghy has somehow slipped right past Border Force and landed dead on the beach at Folkestone! And what happened next? Several migrants literally sprinted off into the night before the police could even pull up! Labour is being accused of completely losing control of our borders. But it gets worse! Over in Calais, a charity has been caught red-handed helping adult migrants pose as children just to claim asylum over here. Is anyone actually enforcing the rules anymore?! Absolutely shameful!  Now let's talk about the welfare state, because the numbers coming out today are simply staggering. ONE IN FIVE working-age adults in this country are now claiming Universal Credit. One in five!  And that’s not all. Analysis shows that benefit claims for ADHD and autism among teenagers are soaring fastest in—wait for it—England’s wealthiest areas! What is going on here?! Is the system being played, or are we just failing to hold people accountable? Andy Burnham is out here insisting that the Special Relationship with the US is "as strong as it’s ever been" ahead of crucial talks with Donald Trump later today. He’s also revealed that British RAF jets are being sent to help defend Saudi Arabia’s oil infrastructure from missile attacks. We're sending our jets overseas, but we can't secure a beach in Kent?! You couldn't make this up. It’s official, The Guardian is full of pests - the newspaper—has had its headquarters infested with bedbugs! That’s right, itching, scratching, and absolute chaos in the newsroom.  Wake up with Talk Breakfast in full on YouTube, DAB+ radio, Samsung TV Plus or the Talk App on your TV from 6am every morning. Burnham's Mandate For Tax Rises
2026/09/21
Jeremy Kyle reacts as The Prime Minister Andy Burnham is reportedly plotting an early trip to the ballot box to beg the public for a mandate to hike your income tax. Why? Because the Treasury is in absolute meltdown over the state of the nation's wallet! On top of that, he’s eyeing a massive £14 billion Capital Gains Tax raid. Put the work in, pay your taxes, or face the consequences—simple as that! Minister for Women and Equalities & Chair of the Labour Party Bridget Phillipson  has come straight out and said it—"all women" in society are currently unsafe! This comes as terrified locals in Piddington raise serious alarm bells over safety concerns in their own backyard. Phillipson yesterday launched a national taskforce to tackle misogyny. What does she think will happen to misogyny rates when Labour dumps 1,256 male asylum seekers on a town of 350.  Following Piddington's lead, a quiet Suffolk village (Barnham) is demanding its own referendum to stop a local RAF base being turned into an asylum seeker center.  Danny Dyer has launched an absolute verbal assault on the PM claiming he has no idea who Andy Burnham even is! When asked at a sewage protest what he'd say to the PM, Dyer went nuclear, asking "Did anyone vote for him?" Earl Spencer is back on the warpath, accusing his brother-in-law, King Charles III, of blatant "gaslighting" by claiming his shocking memoir was just "clouded by grief."
