What Fear is Costing You
2026/10/25
Welcome to Christ Community's Online Service! What’s keeping you from experiencing the freedom and fullness God has for you? In 1 Samuel 14:24-45, we see a powerful contrast between an army bound by fear and Jonathan, who experiences the refreshment and freedom God provides. Through this story, Pastor Mariana explores how fear, false beliefs, and expectations can keep us from stepping into the abundant life God desires for us. Discover how to recognize the fears holding you back, break free from burdens God never asked you to carry, and embrace the healing, wholeness, and joy found in following Jesus. Living Courageously
2026/10/19
Welcome to Christ Community's Online Service! What does it look like to choose courage when the challenges before us seem overwhelming? In 1 Samuel 14, Jonathan faces seemingly impossible odds against the Philistine army. While others respond with fear or passivity, Jonathan takes a step of faith, trusting not in what he knows God will do, but in what God can do. His courage sets off a chain of events that changes everything. In this message from our series The Heart God Sees, we explore how courage moves us toward challenges, grows as we trust in God's power, is strengthened by others, and inspires those around us.  Courage isn't about knowing how things will turn out. It's about trusting God enough to take the next step and leaving the results in His hands. Where might God be inviting you to choose courage today?  For prayer and to stay connected, please visit: https://www.cccgreeley.org  CCConnect Catalog: https://cccgreeley.org/wp-content/uploads/2026/09/CC-Connect-Catalog-Fall-2026-WEB.pdf  For Giving: https://www.cccgreeley.org/give/  Discussion guide: https://cccgreeley.org/wp-content/uploads/2026/10/2026-10-17-18-Group-Discussion-Questions.pdf  Celebrate Baptism With Us This Weekend🙌 https://mailchi.mp/cccgreeley/weekly-digital-newsletter-16050510  Christ Community Church – Greeley, CO
When Taking Control Means Losing Control
2026/10/12
Welcome to Christ Community's Online Service!  When life feels out of control, will we trust God—or try to take control ourselves?  In 1 Samuel 13, King Saul faces overwhelming circumstances that test his willingness to trust God's timing and direction. As fear and pressure mount, Saul takes matters into his own hands, revealing how easily our desire for control can lead us away from obedience.  In this message, we explore the contrast between Saul's response and David's heart of trust. Through their stories, we're reminded that trusting God doesn't mean doing nothing—it means choosing to follow Him even when circumstances feel uncertain.  What if the situations that overwhelm us are actually invitations to surrender control, rest in God's faithfulness, and discover the peace that comes from trusting Him?  For prayer and to stay connected, please visit: https://www.cccgreeley.org  CCConnect Catalog: https://cccgreeley.org/wp-content/uploads/2026/09/CC-Connect-Catalog-Fall-2026-WEB.pdf  For Giving: https://www.cccgreeley.org/give/  Discussion guide: https://cccgreeley.org/wp-content/uploads/2026/10/2026-10-10-11-Group-Discussion-Questions.pdf  This Saturday: Fall Festival at Christ Community! 🍂🎉 https://mailchi.mp/cccgreeley/weekly-digital-newsletter-16050450  Christ Community Church – Greeley, CO
True Security
2026/10/05
Welcome to Christ Community's Online Service!  What happens when our desire for security turns into a desire for control?  In 1 Samuel 12, Israel has the king they asked for—and Samuel reminds them that they already had a King who had been faithful all along. Through every season, God had provided, protected, rescued, and remained with His people. The challenge wasn’t God’s faithfulness; it was their tendency to forget.  In this message, we’re invited to remember who God is and what He has done, return when fear and control pull us away, and trust that He remains on the throne. When we remember God’s character and faithfulness, we can loosen our grip on the things we were never meant to control and find peace in the One who holds it all.  God is King—and we are not. And that is incredibly good news.  For prayer and to stay connected, please visit: https://www.cccgreeley.org  CCConnect Catalog: https://cccgreeley.org/wp-content/uploads/2026/09/CC-Connect-Catalog-Fall-2026-WEB.pdf  For Giving: https://www.cccgreeley.org/give/  Discussion guide: https://cccgreeley.org/wp-content/uploads/2026/09/2026-10-3-4-Group-Discussion-Questions.pdf  There’s Still Time to Register for Baptism Weekend! 🌊 https://mailchi.mp/cccgreeley/weekly-digital-newsletter-16050401  Christ Community Church – Greeley, CO

Angry for the Right Reasons
2026/09/21
Welcome to Christ Community's Online Service!  Is anger always a bad thing? In 1 Samuel 11, we see one of Saul’s healthiest moments as king—when his anger over injustice moves him to protect others, while he refuses to let personal offense turn into bitterness or revenge.  In this message, we explore the difference between righteous and unrighteous anger and what our anger can reveal about our hearts. What is fueling our anger? Is it rooted in love and a desire to protect others, or in fear, judgment, hurt, or self-protection?  As we bring our anger honestly before Jesus, it can become an opportunity for God to work both in us and through us—moving us toward justice, healing, forgiveness, and a deeper reflection of His heart.  For prayer and to stay connected, please visit: https://www.cccgreeley.org  CCConnect Catalog: https://cccgreeley.org/wp-content/uploads/2026/09/CC-Connect-Catalog-Fall-2026-WEB.pdf  For Giving: https://www.cccgreeley.org/give/  Discussion guide: https://cccgreeley.org/wp-content/uploads/2026/09/2026-9-19-20-Group-Discussion-Questions.pdf  SAVE THE DATE: 2nd Annual Fall Festival! 🍁🐑🥣 https://mailchi.mp/cccgreeley/weekly-digital-newsletter-16050273  Christ Community Church – Greeley, CO
Little in Your Own Eyes
2026/09/13
Welcome to Christ Community's Online Service!  What happens when fear and insecurity begin to shape the way we see ourselves? In 1 Samuel 10, Saul has been chosen, anointed, and empowered by God to become Israel’s first king—yet when the moment comes to step into his calling, he’s hiding. His story reveals how fear, self-doubt, and insecurity can keep us from embracing who God has called us to be.  But God doesn’t leave us in hiding. Through the Holy Spirit, we are reminded of a deeper truth: we are God’s beloved children. We don’t have to be defined by fear, failure, or the opinions of others. We can learn to see ourselves through the lens of our Father’s unending love.  Where might fear be keeping you in hiding?  For prayer and to stay connected, please visit: https://www.cccgreeley.org  CCConnect Catalog: https://cccgreeley.org/wp-content/uploads/2026/09/CC-Connect-Catalog-Fall-2026-WEB.pdf  For Giving: https://www.cccgreeley.org/give/  Discussion guide: https://cccgreeley.org/wp-content/uploads/2026/09/2026-9-12-13-Group-Discussion-Questions-1.pdf  Kids Hope: A Small Commitment with a Big Impact https://mailchi.mp/cccgreeley/weekly-digital-newsletter-16050221  Christ Community Church – Greeley, CO

Joining What God is Doing
2026/09/07
Welcome to Christ Community's Online Service!  What do you do when you sense God calling you into something—but you don’t feel qualified, ready, or capable?  Through Saul’s unexpected calling in 1 Samuel 9–10, we discover that joining God in what He’s doing isn’t about having everything figured out. It’s about paying attention to what’s in front of us, refusing to let our past determine what’s possible, and trusting God’s presence more than our own ability. You don’t have to take Jesus somewhere He isn’t—He’s already there.  The invitation is simply to notice what He’s doing and say yes.  For prayer and to stay connected, please visit: https://www.cccgreeley.org  CC Connect Catalog: https://cccgreeley.org/wp-content/uploads/2026/09/CC-Connect-Catalog-Fall-2026-WEB.pdf  For Giving: https://www.cccgreeley.org/give/  Discussion guide: https://cccgreeley.org/wp-content/uploads/2026/09/2026-9-5-6-Group-Discussion-Questions.pdf  Bible Institute Courses Offered This Fall ➡️More Info Inside https://mailchi.mp/cccgreeley/weekly-digital-newsletter-16050170  Christ Community Church – Greeley, CO
Finding Family: Empathy & Vulnerability | CCSermon+ Podcast
2026/09/04
In this episode of the Finding Family podcast, Pastor Mariana Wakefield sits down with Pastor KJ Tencza, Pastor Shane Fanning, and Jess Larkin to continue their series on the five core values of finding family at Christ Community. This week's focus is empathy and vulnerability; what it takes to create relationships and spaces where people feel safe enough to be real. The group talks through the tension between surface-level connection and true depth, and how empathy shapes the way we encourage and show up for one another.
How Do We Approach God
2026/08/31

In 1 Samuel 6–8, we discover that repentance isn’t simply turning away from sin; it’s returning to God with our whole heart. God in a Box
2026/08/24
Welcome to Christ Community's Online Service!  What happens when we want God’s presence and power—but not His leadership? In 1 Samuel 4–5, Israel tries to use the Ark of the Covenant to secure God’s blessing on their plans, only to discover that God cannot be controlled or manipulated.  In this message, we’re challenged to consider the ways we may try to fit God into our own agendas rather than surrendering our plans to Him. Because surrender isn’t losing—it’s entrusting our lives to the God no box could ever contain.  For prayer and to stay connected, please visit: https://www.cccgreeley.org  CCConnect Catalog: https://cccgreeley.org/wp-content/uploads/2026/08/CC-Connect-Catalog-Fall-2026-WEB-compressed.pdf  For Giving: https://www.cccgreeley.org/give/  Discussion guide: https://cccgreeley.org/wp-content/uploads/2026/08/2026-8-22-23-Group-Discussion-Questions.pdf  Welcome Back College Students! 🫶 https://mailchi.mp/cccgreeley/weekly-digital-newsletter-16050032  Christ Community Church – Greeley, CO
