Skills Over Trends: The Mindset Shift for Sustainable Goals & Projects
2026/04/20
In this episode, we explore a critical mindset shift that transforms how you set and reach goals in both life and business. Moving away from a "reactive cycle," we discuss how to transition from chasing fleeting trends and software updates to building a foundation of core competencies and critical thinking skills. Whether you are looking to regain your self-efficacy, start a new fitness routine, or "future-proof" your digital products, this episode emphasizes the power of experimentation and taking action over perfectionism. In this episode, you’ll learn: Why "getting in the water" matters more than having the perfect plan. The danger of building a business solely on moving parts and external tools. How to create value that translates across different platforms and time.Strategies for generating energy and taking back control of your daily schedule. My personal goals for the season, from mindful movement to backend business organization.Send us Fan Mail Find more resources over at SarahSteckler.com 🖥️ Get Organized in your business. The Big AI Conversation: Why I'm Not Convinced by the Hype
2026/04/14
If you’ve been feeling a sense of hesitation around boarding the AI train, this conversational episode is for you. I explore the difference between AI marketing and reality of what LLMs can actually do, the recent Claude code leak that explains a lot, what we give away when we run to ChatBots for answers, and why protecting your human voice is the most radical (and productive) thing you can do for your business right now. This will likely ruffle some feathers. Let me know what you think about AI after you listen to this episode. I Finally Deleted Social Media: Here’s What Happened to My Business (and My Brain)
2026/03/28
I finally did something I’ve been wanting to do for years: I burned it all to the ground and I deleted everything. In this episode, I’m sharing what finally led me to delete not only my personal social media accounts but all of my business ones as well. I’m flying solo now without the use of social media in my business, and honestly, it feels better than ever. In this conversation, I’m opening up about: My Breaking Point: How I noticed my brain was depleted, my energy was low, and my creative capacity was shrinking because of the "swirling vortex" of my phone. The Addiction: Why willpower wasn't enough to stop a habit that saw my screen time hitting 8 to 10 hours a day.How I Untangled My Business: The steps I took to disconnect Facebook logins from apps like Canva, request my data, and manually archive my Instagram highlights.Marketing Without the Apps: Why I’m focusing on long-form content and SEO, especially since 85% of my students already find me through search. The Mental Health Shift: How that "heaviness" in my chest has disappeared since I stopped performing my life for an audience.Reclaiming My Time: How I’m spending my days now - at the library, watching more birds, reading more books, and being truly present in the moment.I used to think I couldn't live without these platforms, but I’ve realized that I don't need social media, it needs me. I’m choosing to look away from my phone and be present in my own life again. Send us Fan Mail Find more resources over at SarahSteckler.com 🖥️ Get Organized in your business. 2025/07/30
Feeling scattered no matter how many productivity apps you try? In this episode, I share why pen and paper might be the most powerful tool in your workflow, especially if you're neurodivergent, a deep thinker, or just tired of digital clutter. 🎙️ Inside the episode, I'll cover: The real reason writing things down helps you think more clearly and stay focusedHow analog systems can reduce decision fatigue (no more bouncing between apps!)Why capturing your ideas on paper leads to more follow-through and less procrastinationHow repeated note-taking boosts your memory, creativity, and project momentumWhat to do when you're stuck overcomplicating your workflow and want to return to calmPlus I take you behind-the-scenes of my paper planning and project mapping processThis is your reminder that you don’t need a fancier tool,  you just need a process that feels like you. 📝 Cozy up with a notebook and listen in!
