Create Certainty About Money Before You See the Proof
2026/10/19
https://media.blubrry.com/thesuccessfulmindpodcast/ins.blubrry.com/thesuccessfulmindpodcast/TSM751_MDM_Sep4_26_FINAL.mp3   You can create certainty about money before a single dollar changes hands. I know how strange that sounds when there’s a stack of bills on the counter and no sales coming in, but certainty isn’t something you wait to feel once the proof arrives. It’s something you build first, on purpose, with your own mind.   Create Certainty About Money By Changing What You Focus OnHere’s the part most people miss about the law of polarity. The opposite of what you don’t want already exists in the exact same space. If you’re looking at an empty account, there’s a full one sitting right next to it. You can’t see it yet, because your mind is trained on the empty one. I’ve watched people spend years staring at the problem, getting good at describing it in detail. Then they wonder why nothing changes. Nothing changes because your consciousness is what moves the particles. Right now, yours is pointed at the thing you don’t want. This is exactly how you create certainty about money long before your bank statement agrees with you. Point your attention at what you want instead.   The Law of Cause and Effect Is Already Running Your LifeYou’re already living by the law of cause and effect, whether anyone pointed it out to you or not. Maybe you learned that money disappears as fast as it comes in. Or maybe asking for it directly felt rude, so you undercharge and call it humility. Those are causes you set in motion long ago, and they’re still producing effects today. The law itself is neutral. It doesn’t care what you set in motion, it just keeps producing more of it. Once you know that, you stop treating your results as something that happens to you. You start treating them as something you’re causing, on purpose or not.   Create Certainty About Money by Taking Full ResponsibilityThis is where people get stuck, because responsibility sounds like blame. It isn’t. Responsibility is what gives you your power back. The moment you blame something outside yourself, a client, the economy, bad luck, you hand away your power to change it. When I act in faith instead of fear, I’m not pretending the bills aren’t there. I’m choosing to believe what I need will show up, and acting like it’s already true. Fear asks how you’ll get back. Faith says if you need it, it will be there. Both are a decision, and only one of them lets you create certainty about money on your own terms.   What Certainty Actually Feels Like Once You Build ItCertainty isn’t a feeling you wait around for. It’s a decision you make before the evidence shows up, and then you act from it until the evidence catches up. Gratitude is the emotion that holds that decision in place, not because everything is fine, but because gratitude is what it feels like to expect something good before you can prove it’s coming. Stop waiting to feel certain because your bank account changed. Start creating the change because you decided to feel certain first. Episode 561 – Is Bragging in Business Bad?   Episode 372 – I Choose How I Feel   Episode 276 – Change Your Money Mindset   YOU KNOW YOU SHOULD BE CLOSING MORE SALES… SO WHY DO TOO MANY OF YOUR CONVERSATIONS STILL END WITH “I NEED TO THINK ABOUT IT”?You can have a great offer, know you can help the person sitting across from you, and still lose the sale because you can’t see where your own thinking is taking you out of the conversation.   That’s your Sales Blind Spot. It can show up when you hesitate to ask for the sale, back off when you hear an objection, over-explain or try to convince, or miss what the prospect is really telling you.   That’s what we’ll work on at The Elite Mind: Sales Accelerator in Charlotte, November 10–11. Over two focused days, you’ll learn how to lead when the conversation gets uncomfortable, ask the right questions that bring the truth to the surface, handle objections without freezing or over-explaining, and guide a prospect to a clear decision without pushing, chasing, or forcing the sale.   If you’re ready to turn your Sales Blind Spot into your next revenue breakthrough, you don’t want to miss this: Apply here to join us. Breakthrough Your Money Plateau: Effort Isn't the Answer
2026/10/12
https://media.blubrry.com/thesuccessfulmindpodcast/media.blubrry.com/thesuccessfulmindpodcast/ins.blubrry.com/thesuccessfulmindpodcast/TSM750_MDM_Aug27_26.mp3   To breakthrough your money plateau, you don’t need more effort. I’ve coached entrepreneurs for years, and the pattern repeats: someone works harder, tries every new tactic, and the income stays exactly where it’s been for months. The real shift starts somewhere else.   Breakthrough Your Money Plateau by Choosing Focus Over Effort When you get clear on the outcome you actually want, not the problem you’re avoiding, every possibility that supports that outcome exists around you. That’s how focus works. Keep your attention on what’s missing — the sale that didn’t close, the number that hasn’t moved — and you create more of exactly that. Nothing you’re experiencing as a plateau is actually a plateau unless you decide to make it one. Change the focus first, and the way through tends to show up faster than you’d expect.   The Law of Polarity: Your Solution Is Already Next to the Problem The solution to any problem exists in the same place, at the same moment, as the problem itself. That’s the law of polarity. It doesn’t matter what created the plateau.  A client who didn’t renew, a launch that underperformed. The story behind it isn’t what matters. Stay in the story and you generate more of the story. Shift your attention to the outcome you want, and you’ll start noticing the steps that move you toward it. They were always right there.   Breakthrough Your Money Plateau by Getting Open, Not Working Harder This kind of shift rarely comes from doing more.  Think of your business like a flower in a garden. It doesn’t chase the bees. It opens itself, stands in what it is, and the right things come to it. Every marketing campaign you run is really just planting another flower in another garden. It doesn’t create the openness, it just gives people somewhere to see it. If you’re closed down and hiding your value, there are no campaigns that will fix that. You don’t get more by doing more. You get more by being more.   What Chaos Teaches You About Staying Stuck A lot of people carry chaos from how they were raised, and it feels familiar enough to mistake for normal. Chaos seeks its own level. It will find you through a client, a family member, or a business relationship, if you let it. Staying stuck often has less to do with strategy and more to do with what you’re still allowing in. You get to close that door. You don’t have to take on the chaotic client or referee the chaotic relative. Peace is a decision.   None of this is complicated, even when it doesn’t feel that way. It’s closer to a dance than a formula.  Focus, stay open, and let the rhythm carry you. That’s what it takes to breakthrough your money plateau. Episode 687 – Change Your Goal, Change Your Reality   Episode 276 -Change Your Money Mindset   Episode 138 – How to Keep Going to Reach Your Goal YOU KNOW YOU SHOULD BE CLOSING MORE SALES… SO WHY DO TOO MANY OF YOUR CONVERSATIONS STILL END WITH “I NEED TO THINK ABOUT IT”?You can have a great offer, know you can help the person sitting across from you, and still lose the sale because you can’t see where your own thinking is taking you out of the conversation.   That’s your Sales Blind Spot. Being Your Word Beats Your Sabotage Pattern
2026/10/05
https://media.blubrry.com/thesuccessfulmindpodcast/media.blubrry.com/thesuccessfulmindpodcast/ins.blubrry.com/thesuccessfulmindpodcast/TSM749_MDM_Jul30_26.mp3   Being your word is the compass I’ve built my life around, and this week I want to show you why it matters more than any goal you’re chasing. Yesterday, more than one person texted me already deciding they wouldn’t hit their goal. That sentence told me everything about their sabotage pattern.   Being Your Word Starts With Noticing Your Sabotage PatternWhen you announce ahead of time that something isn’t going to work, that isn’t honesty — it’s your sabotage pattern doing exactly what it’s built to do. It searches for evidence you’ll agree with, and the moment you agree, you stop trying. That’s not faith. That’s faith in what you don’t want. I’m not saying this with judgment; I’m saying it to wake you up to an unconscious expectation you may not know you’re carrying. Once you see it, you can change it. I missed more deadlines than I hit for years, simply because I hadn’t noticed the pattern.   Being Your Word Means You Stop Negotiating With FearMost of us learned to stop where the world tells us to stop. We hit a gatekeeper, hear one no, and quietly agree that’s the end of the road. Early in my career I sold health products to doctors — a high school dropout with no business getting in front of highly educated professionals — so I waited in parking lots to catch them walking to their cars. Nothing stopped me, because I’d already decided the outcome. Being your word in that season meant refusing to let someone else’s comfort define my ceiling.   Recruit Up: A Lesson From Bob Proctor on Reaching HigherOne piece of advice changed the trajectory of my income: recruit up. Bob Proctor said it from a stage years ago, and I’ve applied it to everything since — worth roughly a hundred million dollars in earnings over three decades. Instead of climbing from the bottom, I went straight to the people with the most influence and served them first. One relationship in the right room did more than months of working the phones ever could. If you’re stuck on what people will pay you, ask where you’re stopping.   The Day Being Your Word Became Non-NegotiableBefore 1998, I never paid a bill on time. I had the money, but I was always working the system, always juggling. Then I met a man who paid his bills once a year, and it reframed everything for me. I made a decision that day — I will never again pay a bill late — and I haven’t, except for one honest bookkeeping error. That decision taught me the difference between it should happen and it must happen. Stop negotiating with your own word and your energy changes.   None of this works from fear, and none of it works halfway. Being your word is a decision you make once and defend every day, especially when your sabotage pattern shows up with a convincing story. Notice where you’re stopping. Notice the evidence you’ve been collecting. Then decide, out loud if you have to, that it must happen. Episode 723 – Breaking Generational Patterns: Why You Can’t Keep Your Word   Episode 710 – Keep Your Words When Problems Show Up   Episode 157 – Change Your Beliefs to Change Your Results – Part II YOU KNOW YOU SHOULD BE CLOSING MORE SALES… SO WHY DO TOO MANY OF YOUR CONVERSATIONS STILL END WITH “I NEED TO THINK ABOUT IT”?  You can have a great offer, know you can help the person sitting across from you, and still lose the sale because you can’t see where your own thinking is taking you out of the conversation. Increase Your Manifestation Power
2026/09/28
https://media.blubrry.com/thesuccessfulmindpodcast/media.blubrry.com/thesuccessfulmindpodcast/ins.blubrry.com/thesuccessfulmindpodcast/TSM748_MDM_Jul28_26.mp3   If you want to increase your manifestation power, the shift starts with something most people get backwards: time. I spend my life talking about goals and deadlines. But the truth I keep coming back to is simple — the moment you stop waiting for someday and start living inside right now, everything changes.   Increase Your Manifestation Power by Living in the Everlasting NowTime is a measurement we invented to explain something we never fully understood. The only time that actually exists is now — not five years from now when the goal lands, not last year when things went wrong. When you stay conscious of that, you stop feeding your mind yesterday’s evidence and start feeding it today’s expectation. That shift is where you increase your manifestation power. You’re no longer asking the universe to catch up to your past — you’re asking it to meet you where you already are.   Increase Your Manifestation Power Through Immediacy, Not FearThere’s a difference between wanting something and demanding it. Demand isn’t aggression, and it isn’t fear either. Fear says “please, I need this to work.” Immediacy says “this is mine, and it’s already done.” I learned this pulling out old call lists after a room full of silence. I would tell myself that everyone who wanted what I had was going to pick up the phone. Not hoping. Expecting. That’s the posture that grows real manifestation power — an intensity built on certainty, not on how badly you need the outcome to change.   Manifestation Power Grows When You Let the Problem DropEvery obstacle you’re staring down is really your mind running today’s situation through yesterday’s file cabinet. Here’s a practice I still use: write the problem on paper, hold it up, close your eyes, and watch it drop like a curtain falling. Then take it outside and burn it. You’re not pretending the problem never existed. Instead, you’re refusing to keep living inside it. The moment you stop merging your identity with what’s wrong, you separate from it enough to let something new in.   Increase Your Manifestation Power With a Grateful, Demanding FaithGratitude for what you want, as if it’s already here, is not wishful thinking — it’s alignment. The kingdom you’re praying toward was never described as someday. It was described as at hand, within you, now. I’ve leaned on that idea more times than I can count when something looked insurmountable. It has never once failed to move something loose. That kind of grateful, demanding faith is exactly how you increase your manifestation power over time.   None of this works by accident, and it never has for me. It works because you decide, today, that the now is where your power actually lives. Not in the plan, not in the timeline — just in this moment and what you choose to believe about it. Episode 329 – The Impression of Increase   Episode 289 – Six Steps to Manifestation   Inside Episode 289 – Six Steps to Manifestation YOU KNOW YOU SHOULD BE CLOSING MORE SALES… SO WHY DO TOO MANY OF YOUR CONVERSATIONS STILL END WITH “I NEED TO THINK ABOUT IT”?You can have a great offer, know you can help the person sitting across from you, and still lose the sale because you can’t see where your own thinking is taking you out of the conversation.   That’s your Sales Blind Spot. The Fear of Raising Your Prices (And What's Behind It)
2026/09/21
https://media.blubrry.com/thesuccessfulmindpodcast/media.blubrry.com/thesuccessfulmindpodcast/ins.blubrry.com/thesuccessfulmindpodcast/TSM747_MDM_Jul22_26.mp3   The fear of raising your prices is something almost every business owner runs into. Maybe you’ve been sitting on the edge of a price increase for months. I want you to know exactly what’s happening in your mind. That hesitation isn’t weakness. It isn’t low confidence either. It’s a paradigm — an old pattern still running the show. Today I’m walking you through how it works, why it shows up, and how to move past it.   Fear of Raising Your Prices: Where It Actually Comes FromYour paradigm controls far more than you realize. It shapes your perception, your creativity, your productivity, and your logic. Your paradigm also controls your ability to earn money. The moment you think about changing your price, part of your mind starts arguing against it. They can’t afford it. Nobody will pay that much. I’ll lose everyone I have. That voice feels like reason, but it isn’t. It’s your paradigm defending the comfort of clients you already know — the history you’ve built with them, the safety of a number you’ve already proven you can hit. A new price is unproven territory. Your mind resists unproven territory by design, every single time.   What Happened When I Raised My Price From $15,000 To $100,000Years ago I made that jump myself. Someone on my team wanted proof it wouldn’t work. So we surveyed the people buying at the new price, expecting to find seasoned, high-earning clients backing it up. Instead, the forms came back showing most had made twenty thousand dollars a year or less. That same weekend, we sold two million dollars in coaching. Ninety percent of the buyers were in that twenty-thousand-dollar range, and many paid in full, up front. I learned something that day I’ve never forgotten. Don’t judge what people can pay by what you’ve watched them pay so far. When someone truly wants something, they find a way to get it.   Fear of Raising Your Prices And the Law of PolarityYou cannot have the problem without the solution already existing on the other side of it. That’s the Law of Polarity at work. The moment you raise your price, you create a new problem: finding the people willing to pay it. But that problem is proof the win already exists somewhere out there. The client with the money is already out there right now. Your only job is to stop assuming who can and can’t afford you. Pick up the phone. Start the conversations that let you find them. Once you see the fear of raising your prices this way, it starts to lose its grip on you.   This is a conversation I come back to often. The fear never fully disappears — you just get better at moving through it every time it shows up.  Episode 730 – The Scarcity Setpoint – Why You Can’t Charge What You’re Worth   Episode 724 – Money Paradigms and Fear: Why You Avoid Your Own Bills   Episode 280 – Raising Your Standard: Why You Can Be Willing But Not Able – Part I YOU KNOW YOU SHOULD BE CLOSING MORE SALES… SO WHY DO TOO MANY OF YOUR CONVERSATIONS STILL END WITH “I NEED TO THINK ABOUT IT”?You can have a great offer, know you can help the person sitting across from you, and still lose the sale because you can’t see where your own thinking is taking you out of the conversation.   That’s your Sales Blind Spot. The Catalyst Blind Spot: Why Winning Breeds Complacency
2026/09/14
https://media.blubrry.com/thesuccessfulmindpodcast/media.blubrry.com/thesuccessfulmindpodcast/ins.blubrry.com/thesuccessfulmindpodcast/TSM746_SBS_Series_Ep5_Catalyst.mp3   The catalyst blind spot is the one that gets you right when things start going well. I’ve watched salespeople climb out of a slump, build real momentum, and then quietly hand it back — not because anything went wrong, but because everything finally started going right. Steph and I close out our five-part series on this exact pattern.   Catalyst Blind Spot: How Winning Turns Into Sleeping Here’s what makes this one sneaky. You start asking better questions, you stay quiet instead of talking a prospect out of the sale, and your numbers move. Conversion goes up, confidence goes up, income gets more consistent. Somewhere in that stretch of good months, a quiet thought creeps in: I’ve got this figured out. That thought is the whole problem. The moment you decide you’ve arrived is the moment you stop doing what got you there, and your best stretch turns into your worst month.   Why I Never Believe My Own Press Clippings Early in my career I was one sale away from a huge bonus with hours left on the clock. I’d spent three weeks certain I’d smoke past the number, then spent the last three days unable to get anyone on the phone. My mentor asked if there’d been a night that month I’d told myself I already had it won and taken off early. There had been three. He said it’s just as easy to be one over as one away. It wasn’t really about sales — it was about believing your own press clippings.   Catalyst Blind Spot: Why There’s No Finish Line In Sales This one survives on destination thinking — the idea that once you hit a number, you’ll finally have it figured out. There is no such place. Buyer behavior changes, and markets change. Fifty years ago a stranger could knock on your door and get invited in for coffee; today that same knock gets posted to a neighborhood group as a warning. You will always need to keep learning how the person in front of you thinks, because the day you believe you’re finished learning is the day your results prove you wrong.   How to Catch Yourself Before You Fall Off The catalyst blind spot loses its grip the moment you get honest with yourself. Record your sales conversations and listen back like a coach, not a critic — notice where your confidence slipped or you skipped a question you needed to ask. Separate what someone actually said from what you wish they’d said, then find the question that gets you there honestly. Take the Sales Blind Spot Detector if you haven’t; it will name which pattern, catalyst included, is quietly running your results.   It’s a good problem to have — it only shows up once you’re already winning. Left unchecked, though, it can undo everything the other four helped you fix. Episode 745 – The Convincer: Why Pushing Harder Backfires   Episode 744 – The People Pleaser: Why You Undersell Yourself   Episode 743 – The Reluctant Seller: Why Selling Feels Wrong   Episode 742 – The Sales Conversation You’re Losing Before It Starts HERE’S THE TRUTH: YOUR BUSINESS ISN’T BROKEN. YOUR MINDSET IS.You’ve built something real. You’ve got clients, revenue, maybe even a team. But every morning, you wake up feeling like you’re pushing a boulder uphill — working harder for smaller wins, watching others leap ahead while you grind in place. This September, I’m opening the doors to The Elite Mind, a proven daily practice that rewires the mental patterns keeping you stuck in the feast-or-famine cycle, and transforms your relationship with success from the inside out. We’ll strip away the self-sabotage, the fear of your own potential, and the unconscious limits you’ve accepted as “just how business is.” You’ll discover why strategy alone never works (and what actually does), and walk away with the mental framework that separates those who sustain success from those who chase it forever. The Convincer Blind Spot: Why Pushing Harder Backfires
2026/09/10
https://media.blubrry.com/thesuccessfulmindpodcast/ins.blubrry.com/thesuccessfulmindpodcast/TSM745_SBS_Series_Ep4_Convincer.mp3   The convincer blind spot might be the reason you’re doing everything the sales books tell you to do and still hearing no. I’ve coached thousands of salespeople who know every feature and benefit of what they sell, and still watch deals fall apart, because they’re pushing for a yes instead of listening for the truth. Convincer Blind Spot: Where the Pattern Begins This pattern runs on a belief that sounds reasonable: if you make a good enough case, the person will buy. So you gather every fact, expecting the evidence alone to close the deal. But people don’t buy because of your argument. They buy for their own reasons, once they feel understood. A great salesperson talks a fraction of the time their prospect does. If you’re doing most of the talking in a sales conversation, that’s the clearest sign this blind spot is running the show.   Convincer Blind Spot: Three Places It Shows Up In A Sales Conversation The first is pushback. The moment a prospect hesitates, instead of asking a question, you pile on more reasons and urgency, mistaking volume for persuasion. The second is selling the wrong thing. I once sat across from a car salesman who walked me through engine specs and trim packages while I sat there wanting heated seats, a heated steering wheel, and decent cupholders. He never asked what I wanted, so he never had a chance to sell it to me. The third is desperation. When you’re worried about payroll, you push harder for the yes, and prospects feel that energy before you say a word.   The Story That Changed How I Sell Every salesperson who pushes a prospect into a yes eventually pays for it. Buyer’s remorse and refund requests run far higher on convinced sales than on sales made through genuine understanding. People say yes to relieve pressure, not because they wanted what you sold them. I bought a timeshare in my twenties under exactly that kind of pressure, and decades later, I still own it. The sale you win by pushing is rarely the sale you keep.   The Real Cost, And Where To Start The shift starts with an honest question: do you want to be right, or do you want to be rich? Convincing feels like effort, but sales was never about effort. It’s about listening. Next time a prospect pushes back, ask what’s behind the hesitation, and find out what they want before you say another word about what you’re selling. What you put into a conversation has a way of coming back to you. This is the fourth episode in our Sales Blind Spot series, and it’s one I wish someone had explained to me decades ago. Steph and I dig into where the convincer blind spot comes from and how to catch yourself in the moment. Episode 744 – The People Pleaser: Why You Undersell Yourself   Episode 743 – The Reluctant Seller: Why Selling Feels Wrong   Episode 742 – The Sales Conversation You’re Losing Before It Starts HERE’S THE TRUTH: YOUR BUSINESS ISN’T BROKEN. The People Pleaser Blind Spot: Why You Undersell Yourself
2026/09/07
https://media.blubrry.com/thesuccessfulmindpodcast/media.blubrry.com/thesuccessfulmindpodcast/ins.blubrry.com/thesuccessfulmindpodcast/TSM744_SBS_Series_Ep3_PeoplePleaser.mp3   The people pleaser blind spot might be the reason you keep leaving money on the table without noticing it happen. I’ve coached this pattern in thousands of salespeople, and it rarely looks like weakness. It looks like someone who has quietly decided that being liked matters more than being paid what the work is worth.   People Pleaser Blind Spot: Where This Pattern StartsThis isn’t a character flaw. It’s biology. Cooperation kept you alive, and as a child you learned fast that getting your needs met meant pleasing the people who controlled your world. You figured out which parent to ask when, which teacher to please, which kids to impress so you wouldn’t be rejected. That wiring never left. The core belief underneath it is simple and brutal: if they don’t like me, I’ve done something wrong. So you learn to betray yourself quietly, over and over, and call it being easy to work with.   Three Places This Shows Up In A Sales ConversationThe first is price. You know the number in your mind, but a lower one comes out of your mouth, or you offer payment plans nobody asked for, or you delay the proposal for weeks because sending it feels like asking to be rejected. The second is scarcity. Someone tells you money is tight and you find yourself agreeing, mirroring their limiting belief instead of bringing them the clarity they came for. The third is rapport. You spend the first fifteen minutes building friendship instead of authority, and the moment someone’s mind files you as a friend rather than a professional, you lose your ability to help them decide.   People Pleaser Blind Spot: What It Cost One Salesperson Two Months To FixSteph told me about her youngest daughter, a salesperson at a custom clothing company, who kept offering prospects the cheapest option, assuming they couldn’t afford more. That assumption was the people pleaser talking, not the customer. A mentor pushed her to practice pitching the premium line and actually believe in its value. Within two months she won a companywide sales contest and earned a suit worth thousands of dollars. Nothing about her prospects changed. What changed was that she stopped deciding, on their behalf, what they could handle.   The Real Cost, And Where To StartThe financial cost is obvious once you see it: underpriced deals add up to real money left behind. The quieter cost is resentment, because every time you say yes when you mean no, you’re betraying yourself and blaming them for it later. The shift starts small. Next time someone asks you for something, resist answering immediately. Say you’ll get back to them, then check in with yourself about what you actually want to do.   This pattern isn’t something to be ashamed of. It’s something to reprogram, and that’s exactly what Steph and I dig into on this episode, the third in our Sales Blind Spot series. Don’t forget to grab our Blind Spot Detector. The Reluctant Seller Blind Spot: Why Selling Feels Wrong
2026/09/03
https://media.blubrry.com/thesuccessfulmindpodcast/media.blubrry.com/thesuccessfulmindpodcast/ins.blubrry.com/thesuccessfulmindpodcast/TSM743_SBS_Series_Ep2_ReluctantSeller.mp3   The reluctant seller blind spot might be the reason you’re not closing sales already sitting in front of you. I’ve coached this pattern in thousands of people, and it rarely looks like laziness. It looks like someone who doesn’t want to bother anyone — who has quietly decided selling is something you do to a person, not for one.     Reluctant Seller Blind Spot: Selling Feels Like Doing Something To SomeoneThis one starts early. I was raised to believe every salesperson had an angle, that selling was something slippery people did to unsuspecting people. So when I started my own business, my unconscious mind treated selling as a moral problem before it ever became a skill problem. That’s the core of this pattern: a conflict between wanting to be a good person and needing to sell to build the life you want. Your mind can’t hold both at once without flinching, so it flinches toward avoidance and calls it politeness.   The Value Conflict Behind Every Missed Follow-UpThis blind spot shows up first in the follow-up you never make. I’ve sat across from clients holding stacks of business cards and inbound inquiries they never returned, insisting there weren’t enough leads. There were. They couldn’t reach out again without feeling like a bother. The same avoidance shows up when you wait for referrals instead of asking directly, as if asking were rude. It isn’t.   Reluctant Seller Blind Spot: Why You Accept No Too EasilyThe second place this pattern hides is in how fast you accept no. Early in my career, a couple I knew turned down a product I was certain would help their aging dog. I backed off, because pushing felt like doing something to them. A mentor asked me one question — what if you’re not pushing because you don’t want it badly enough — and it stopped me cold. I went back, and they bought. No rarely means no. It usually means not yet. You can’t stop where they stop.   You Were Born a SalespersonThe third place this shows up is the sentence “I’m just not a sales person.” I hear it from owners who hand off selling to someone else, then wonder why growth stalls. But every one of us sold before we could talk — that’s how a baby gets fed with no language at all. Somewhere along the way, most of us got shamed out of asking directly for what we need. That instinct isn’t gone. It’s buried under rules about politeness that were never yours to keep in a sales conversation.   None of this means something is wrong with you. It means you’re carrying values built for a different life, due for an update now. I walk through where this pattern started, and how to reprogram it, in this episode — the second in our Sales Blind Spot series. Be sure to access the Sales Blindspot Detector HERE! The Sales Conversation You're Losing Before It Starts
2026/08/31
https://media.blubrry.com/thesuccessfulmindpodcast/media.blubrry.com/thesuccessfulmindpodcast/ins.blubrry.com/thesuccessfulmindpodcast/TSM742_SBS_Series_Ep1.mp3   The sales conversation you’re losing right now might already be over before you even pick up the phone. That’s the truth Steph Tuss and I open up in this new series on sales blind spots — the subconscious patterns behind every sales conversation you’re losing without knowing why. If a sale keeps slipping away, you’re not bad at sales. You just can’t see what’s right in front of you yet, and once you can, everything changes.   Sales Conversation You’re Losing: Where It Actually StartsMost people blame price or timing when a sale falls apart. After thirty-five years combined working with small business owners, Steph and I can tell you that’s rarely the real reason. Sales isn’t something you do to someone. It’s something you do for someone. A sales conversation exists to bring clarity to a confused mind. When a blind spot runs quietly underneath the surface, that clarity never arrives. Your prospect walks away confused. You walk away wondering what happened. Nothing was wrong with the lead. The sales conversation you’re losing was lost the moment clarity disappeared.   Why Sales Blind Spots Hide the Real Reason You Lose SalesA blind spot works like the blind spot in your eye. Your brain fills the gap with what it expects, not what’s actually there. In conversation, that shows up as half-listening. You hear your prospect, but part of your mind is rehearsing your next line, or worrying whether they’ll like you. Meanwhile they’re handing you the exact information you need, and you miss it. I learned this from my own coach in a single sentence that changed my career. Sales is something you do for someone, not to someone. That one shift is often exactly why the sales conversation you’re losing turns around.   Sales Conversation You’re Losing: The Four Patterns Behind ItSteph and I sort these patterns into four categories. The reluctant seller avoids selling and quits at the first no. Next is the people pleaser, who needs to be liked, so they cushion the price and sell from guilt. Then there’s the conveyancer, who piles on logic and pushes instead of leading. And finally, the catalyst has nearly broken free but still gets pulled back occasionally. Almost nobody fits neatly into just one. Most of us carry a little of each, stacked on top of one another. That stacking is usually where the sales conversation you’re losing actually gets decided.   What Changes Once You Stop Losing the Sale Before It StartsOnce you can see your blind spot, everything shifts, because awareness always comes first. Over the next four episodes, Steph and I walk through each pattern in depth, with specific ways to begin rewiring it. We also built something called the Blind Spot Detector. It’s a short set of questions that shows you exactly where the sales conversation you’re losing keeps breaking down, plus a seven-day plan to start shifting it. That way, the same sales conversation you’re losing today doesn’t repeat next quarter.   If a sale has slipped away and you couldn’t explain why, this series is where that finally makes sense. Join Steph and me as we keep working through the sales conversation you’re losing, one pattern at a time. Episode 365 – What Causes Blindspots?   Episode 355 – The Law of Polarity   Episode 74 – The Real Reason You’re Not Winning HERE’S THE TRUTH: YOUR BUSINESS ISN’T BROKEN. YOUR MINDSET IS.You’ve built something real. You’ve got clients, revenue, maybe even a team. Who You Need to Become with Robert Nunez
2026/08/24
https://media.blubrry.com/thesuccessfulmindpodcast/media.blubrry.com/thesuccessfulmindpodcast/ins.blubrry.com/thesuccessfulmindpodcast/TSM741_RobertNunez.mp3   Who you need to become matters more than any number you think you’re chasing. That’s the real lesson from this week’s episode with Robert Nunez, a member of our Elite Mind program and the owner of a thriving construction company based in Philadelphia. Robert set out to find five million dollars in business opportunity every single day for a month — and what he actually found was something bigger.   Who You Need to Become Before the Number Shows UpThe challenge started with a text he sent me on June 30th. He’d committed to seeking five million dollars in opportunity every day through July, and he wrote that the number wasn’t actually the target. The target was who he had to become to even see it. I’ve told our group for years: you have to raise yourself enough for success to see you, long before you ever hit the number. Robert lived that out. By the time August arrived, he and his team had surfaced two hundred forty-three million dollars in opportunity — federal contracts, affordable-housing projects, one deal worth fifty million dollars on its own. But the number was never the point. The becoming was.   Breaking the Cycle He Was HandedRobert calls himself a first-generation cycle breaker, and he means it literally. Growing up between Newark and Jersey City, he absorbed a quiet rule: don’t change too much, don’t forget where you came from, stay inside the lines everyone else drew. Building a construction company that now serves government and affordable-housing clients from New York to Maryland required him to set that story down. He told me the hardest part wasn’t the strategy — it was grieving an identity he’d outgrown, and accepting that some relationships and habits simply couldn’t come with him. That’s the cost nobody warns you about, and it’s the same cost every one of my Elite Mind members eventually pays.   Who You Need to Become When the Old Habits Fight BackChasing five million dollars a day forced Robert to change where he spent his time, his energy, and his attention. He stopped treating small tasks as productive and started showing up at the conferences and conversations where real opportunity actually lives. His discipline, his network, and the way he evaluated what was worth his focus all shifted with it. Emails he would have scrolled past a month earlier — a thirty-million-dollar housing project, a federal opportunity most companies never see — started landing in his inbox, because he’d already become someone who belonged in that room.   Robert’s story is proof that the goal you’re setting is rarely the real assignment. The real assignment is who you need to become along the way — more disciplined, more visible, more willing to let go of the version of yourself that got you this far. If you’re circling a goal that hasn’t moved yet, ask what kind of person would already have it. Episode 577 – The Difference Between Intuition and Ego   Episode 538 – Winning Through Intimidation   Episode 510 – Age is Just a Number YOU’VE LEARNED THE STRATEGIES… SO WHY DOES YOUR REVENUE STILL CONTINUE TO PLATEAU? Here’s what I know about most business owners: They’re working hard, doing the right things, and still hitting the same income ceiling year after year. That ceiling has a name — it’s your Financial Set Point. It’s the unconscious limit you’ve placed on what you believe you can earn, and until you see it clearly, it runs the show no matter what strategies you put in place. That’s what we work on at my upcoming Business Intensive in November.  Over two days, I’ll help you identify your financial set point, understand why it’s there, and break through it so you can finally earn what you want without the constant struggle and hustle that’s been getting you nowhere. Understanding Your True Value: Why Clients Say Yes
2026/08/17
https://media.blubrry.com/thesuccessfulmindpodcast/media.blubrry.com/thesuccessfulmindpodcast/ins.blubrry.com/thesuccessfulmindpodcast/TSM740_MDM_Jul17_26.mp3   Understanding your true value is the difference between chasing clients and having them show up ready to say yes. I learned this years ago from a mentor of mine, Bob, who asked me to sell a program that did not exist yet. No outline. No pricing. No details. Just a promise of the result. It sounded too good to be true — and it changed how I sell for good.     Understanding Your True Value Before You Ever Say a Word When Bob told me to sell his program without a single detail, I pushed back hard. How was I supposed to sell something I knew nothing about? He looked at me like I had missed the point. People do not buy the program, he said. They buy the result. I sold a hundred spots in a few days, and we did five million dollars in three months, before the thing had even been built. That conversation taught me more about selling than anything before it. Once I stopped proving my worth through what I had built, everything shifted.     Why the Package Was Never the Point For years I believed my value lived inside the package — the pricing, the curriculum, the credentials I could point to. None of that matters to the person sitting across from you. What you have done in the past does not connect the way you think it does. Clients connect to whether you can get them where they want to go. The moment you put your value into the product instead of into yourself, you stop communicating anything real. You start talking about you, your process, your service — and people feel the insecurity behind it.     Understanding Your True Value in an Entrepreneurial Mindset When I was a kid, there were always the cool kids everyone wanted to be around. What established value did they actually have? None. It was assumed into existence. Sales works the same way. You have built something, developed a skill, raised yourself up in society to the point where you have something people genuinely need. Most of us were raised with a middle-class mindset, where someone else hands you opportunity and you trade your time for it. Stepping into business means stepping into your own authority — not arrogantly, but as an acknowledgment of what you bring to the table.     When You Don’t Trust What You’re Worth Last week I said yes to something I did not want to do — hauling furniture across state lines for family — and my week fell apart around it. Power outages, internet down twice, a cut line on the property. None of it made sense until I realized I had agreed out of guilt instead of alignment. The moment I corrected it, the chaos stopped. Your energy runs your business more than your strategy does. Say yes to what you actually want, say no to what you do not, and fix it fast when you get it wrong.     That is the real work behind every sale, every client relationship, and every yes you give in your life. It starts with understanding your true value and refusing to negotiate it down. Episode 511 – Give Full Value to Receive Full Value   Episode 590 – The Consistency of Action   Episode 708 – People Are Always Buying – The Next Step Wins YOU’VE LEARNED THE STRATEGIES… SO WHY DOES YOUR REVENUE STILL CONTINUE TO PLATEAU? Success Without the Struggle
2026/08/10
https://media.blubrry.com/thesuccessfulmindpodcast/media.blubrry.com/thesuccessfulmindpodcast/ins.blubrry.com/thesuccessfulmindpodcast/TSM739_MDM_Jul13_26.mp3   Success without the struggle isn’t a fantasy — it’s the other side of a law most of us were never taught to use. For years I believed, like most people do, that the harder something felt, the more it counted. Then I sat down with a piece of paper, the Law of Polarity, and everything about how I chase goals changed.   Success Without the Struggle Begins With the Law of Polarity  Draw a horizontal line. Put a vertical line through the middle. Negative on the left — lack, difficulty, not having. Positive on the right — the money, the people, the opportunity, already here. Those two sides are not separate. They’re connected in the middle, the same way my phone has a left side and a right side that both belong to the same object. When you’re chasing a goal, especially one tied to money, your perception convinces you that only the negative side is real. That’s what success without the struggle actually requires: recognizing both sides already exist right now, not someday, not once you’ve earned it.   Success Without the Struggle Means Questioning Your Perception  Here’s the part that took me years to fully get: the problem you’re carrying doesn’t exist in reality. It exists in your perception. You’ve been so locked onto what you don’t have that your mind has stopped registering what’s already available to you. Doubt, fear, and worry aren’t proof that something is wrong — they’re just what happens when you emotionally align with the wrong side of the line. You were handed a paradigm as a kid, probably one that said good things come from struggle. Success without the struggle means catching yourself the moment that old paradigm speaks up, and choosing the truth instead of the story.   Why Success Without the Struggle Still Takes Action  None of this is magical thinking. Choosing truth over perception doesn’t mean you sit still and wait. It means you stop assuming the goal requires suffering and start doing the plain, practical thing in front of you — the calls, the outreach, the conversation you’ve been avoiding. I was raised, like a lot of people, to believe I shouldn’t bother anyone or ask for anything. But you’re not asking anymore. You have something of real value to offer, and the people who need it are already close to you. Success without the struggle doesn’t mean success without effort — it means effort without suffering, faith applied daily through what you actually do.   What you want — the sale, the client, the house, the shift in your bank account — isn’t something you have to force into existence. It’s already here, waiting on the other side of the same line you’re standing on. Success without the struggle simply means getting in harmony with what’s true instead of what your perception has convinced you is missing. Episode 617 – You’ll Always Get What You Need When You Need It   Episode 553 – Vulnerability: Is it Good for Business?   Episode 333 – The Psychology of Sales YOU’VE LEARNED THE STRATEGIES… SO WHY DOES YOUR REVENUE STILL CONTINUE TO PLATEAU? How Mindset Affects Fertility with Rosanne Austin
2026/08/03
https://media.blubrry.com/thesuccessfulmindpodcast/media.blubrry.com/thesuccessfulmindpodcast/ins.blubrry.com/thesuccessfulmindpodcast/TSM738_RosanneAustin.mp3   How mindset affects fertility is something almost nobody considers until they’ve tried everything else. In this episode, I sit down with my client and friend Rosanne Austin, a former trial attorney turned fertility mindset coach, to talk about the piece most fertility journeys leave out, and the documentary she made about it, The Mind of Fertility.   How Mindset Affects Fertility When Nothing Else Is WorkingRosanne spent seven years trying to have a baby. She was doing everything the specialists told her to do. Clean diet, expensive protocols, relentless effort. Nothing worked. When she finally asked herself what was out of alignment, she realized the one piece she had never addressed was her own mind. She was walking into every treatment expecting to fail, and that expectation, not her body, was running the show. Once she started working with her mindset instead of just her medical protocol, everything shifted. She went on to get pregnant naturally in her forties.   The Mind-Body Connection Doctors Are Finally AcknowledgingFor years, Rosanne asked her doctors whether stress could be affecting her ability to conceive. She was told no. But the mind and body aren’t two separate systems, they’re one closed loop, and chronic stress shows up physically whether or not we can measure exactly how. This year, researchers at MD Anderson documented a seventy percent reduction in aggressive cancer cell growth when patients applied focused intention. Rosanne has since been invited by Baylor College of Medicine’s Chief of Reproductive Endocrinology to teach physicians what she learned firsthand. Medicine is finally catching up to what she already knew.   How Mindset Affects Fertility And Why It Is Not Your FaultIf you’re doing everything right and still not getting the result you want, Rosanne’s question isn’t an accusation, it’s an invitation. She asks her clients, could it be me, not from guilt but from curiosity. Most of us who say we’ve tried everything haven’t actually looked at what we believe about our chances. That’s not a character flaw. It’s usually a paradigm running quietly in the background, and the women who never get their baby are the ones who gave up on questioning it. Choosing Motherhood On Your Own TermsRosanne works mostly with accomplished women in their forties who were taught that ambition and motherhood sit on opposite ends of the same line. Yet the CDC now reports a real rise in births among women over forty, proof this window is wider than most of us were told. Every woman in Rosanne’s documentary kept saying yes to her vision, even when the odds looked impossible.   Rosanne told me something I haven’t stopped thinking about: I hope you never forget how powerful you are. That’s the clearest proof of how mindset affects fertility I’ve ever heard. It changes the outcome and who you become along the way. Breaking the Victim Mentality: Why You Stay Stuck
2026/07/27
https://media.blubrry.com/thesuccessfulmindpodcast/media.blubrry.com/thesuccessfulmindpodcast/ins.blubrry.com/thesuccessfulmindpodcast/TSM737_MDM_Jul7_26.mp3   Breaking the victim mentality is the difference between the life you’re settling for and the life you’re capable of building. I’ve watched people stay stuck in the same spot for years — not because they lack ability, but because somewhere inside them a line got drawn, and nobody taught them how to cross it.   Breaking the Victim Mentality Starts With Seeing the LineEvery person carries an internal set point — a line in their mind that decides how much they’ll tolerate before they finally act. I’ve coached people who kept sliding toward that line, watching their bank account or their health get worse, and they wouldn’t move until they hit it. Even successful people have this line. The difference is that they know it’s there, and they refuse to stay on it. Here’s what most people never realize: that line wasn’t set by them. Somebody else — a parent, a teacher, an early experience — set it long before you had any say. Until you become conscious of where your line sits, it runs your thinking, your emotions, and your behavior without asking permission.   Breaking the Victim Mentality Means Walking Away From the Victim TriangleThat line operates off a pattern I call the victim triangle: victim, persecutor, rescuer. When you’re stuck at your line, part of you starts looking for someone or something to save you — a lucky break, a new opportunity, a person who will finally fix things. That’s where a lot of what looks like distraction, chasing the next shiny idea, actually comes from. It’s a wish disguised as a plan. The truth that changes everything is realizing you are your own rescuer. Nobody is coming to do this for you, and the sooner you accept that, the sooner the excuses lose their grip on your decisions.   The Subconscious Line That Never Fully DisappearsThat line never completely disappears, even for those of us who’ve done the work. I still know exactly where mine used to sit, and every so often I look back at how close I came to it before I decided to discipline myself and show up differently, day after day. A mentor once told me the subconscious mind is insidious — you don’t want to underestimate it, and you have to stay committed to the course you’ve charted. The line doesn’t vanish — you simply build enough distance that it stops running your life. That distance comes from discipline and maturity, not motivation. Motivation fades. Discipline is what keeps you moving toward the person you actually want to become.   Be Your Own Fist, Not Someone Else’s VictimAre you giving your best today, or are you waiting for a punch in the face before you’ll change? Don’t wait for the crisis. Be your own fist. Stop looking for a rescuer or the perfect set of circumstances, and start making the decision your future is actually asking of you. Surround yourself with people who tell you the truth — who say, firmly but kindly, that you can do better — instead of people who let you stay comfortable in your story. That kind of honesty is a gift, even when it stings. Every day comes down to one honest question in the mirror: did I give it my best today? That question — did I give it my best today — is really the whole game. It’s a daily practice of choosing your line over someone else’s, one decision at a time. That’s what we work on at my upcoming Business Intensive in August.  Over two days, I’ll help you identify your financial set point, understand why it’s there, and break through it so you can finally earn what you want without the constant struggle and hustle that’s been getting you nowhere. If that sounds like exactly what’s been missing, you don’t want to sit this one out. Apply here to join us. If you like the show, would you be so kind as to leave us a short review on Apple Podcasts?
