Mog Knight has been sick, then busy, then sick again - but that didn't stop us from podcasting (at least prepping for an eventual one). But anyways, in this episode we talk about Avatar: The Last Airbender. Not the 2005. The live-action 2024 one on Netflix. And boy did we have thoughts on it, as fans of the original series. Spoiler warning - we do talk about all 8 eight episodes, so maybe watch the live action adaptation first. Or not. Check out the Kupo Writes! New year, new game to talk about! This time, it is Square Enix's "PARANORMASIGHT: The Seven Mysteries of Honjo" released on March 8th, 2023. Your lovely hosts have been meaning to play this one, so in our downtime after our end-of-the-year writing show - we did!! Warning - Spoilers for this game for probably the last 3/4ths of this episode. Kinda the whole thing. But find out our thoughts on this game and why we love/hate it and why you should play it. Hello, kupo~!! In this episode, we talk about the 4th annual Kupo Writes! Game Awards where we celebrate game experiences (and more!) we had throughout 2023. We mostly talk about the games we didn't have time to award or write about, plus wrapping up with some things we're looking forward to next year. Thanks for a year of moderate achievement and lots of fun times, and hope you stick with us for an even better 2024~. Check out the Kupo Writes! After almost a year and 6 months, the boys are back again! Consider this a "season 2" of Kupo Talks~!! In this episode, we come back home to our virtual podcast studio, de-rusting ourselves and wiping off the cobwebs by just talking about what we've been up to and the games we've been playing as of recent. We have some hot takes, some reasons why we love or dropped some of these games, but ultimately it was just a fun chill talk. Happy New Year from the Kupo Creates Brand Management!! The boys are at it again, here to talk about a set of cases in a collection known as "The Great Ace Attorney: Adventures"! Join us in our discussion about all 5 cases found in the first game of the "The Great Ace Attorney Chronicles", from the case details itself to the blatant (but well-written/localized within the context of this game) racial bias to all the "gotchas" we love to all the characters that touched our heartstrings. Spoiler warning to those who haven't played this game, but we both highly recommend you do both if you're a fan of the series or just someone new too. As a personal milestone of doing something 10 times within a certain timeframe, your host Mog Knight and the forever rotating chair Andrew decided to do things a little different: stream our talk live on the internet! Of course and as promised, the audio-only version is here. In this episode, we rank every single fruit known to humankind (or at least presented to us in this tier list) AND close with ranking all the shows that aired on Cartoon Network. As late 90's/early 2000's kids we aimed to make it the most accurately objective list compared to those... uncultured lists out there made to draw angry reactions. In any case, hope you enjoy! In this day and age of new TV series or shows coming out every week, it can get overwhelming deciding on what to watch. So what did we decide to do? Head back to the olden days (our olden days) and watch a bunch of Bill Lawrence's "Scrubs" (also available for streaming in places!). In this episode we primarily focus on the 1st season of "Scrubs", looking to see if and how it holds up in today's modern age. We also share some thoughts and memories in general about the show, and why we think even though some episodes and seasons are hit and miss it does offer some really good arcs and experiences that only a show like "Scrubs" can pull off. A personal note from Andrew: "Andrew confused My Screw Up with the plot of My Lunch". Have any suggestions, or something you would like us to cover? Back again with your game updates! In this episode, Mog Knight talks about games that came out recently that he's played (Boyfriend Dungeon, Fuga: Melodies of Steel) while Andrew talks about games he finally got around to playing (Okami, Gravity Rush, A Hat in Time). We also close off this episode by talking about The Great Ace Attorney Case 1, with no spoilers (well, maybe a little spoilers). Hope you enjoy this episode full of game design commentary and a bit of social commentary as well! Have any suggestions, or something you would like us to cover? The boys are back again, and this time their vast circle of interests and media have collided enough to the point where we're able to talk about it and analyze how it affected us. In this episode, we talk about Studio Bones' latest film "Josee the Tiger and the Fish", Fujimoto's latest one-shot manga "Look Back", and the main reason why we recorded this episode is the sleeper hit anime of 2021 "Oddtaxi" by OLM and P.I.C.S. Oh, just kidding, it's an episode all about our love of food and the places we had fun eating in good ol' Los Angeles. Let hosts RJ and Andrew tell you about what food means to them, and the stories they had because of their love of food and each other. Hope you enjoy!
