The remodel of the new Interfaith Sanctuary location on State Street, will now cost almost twice as much as originally thought. The shelter has taken some federal COVID-19 assistance money as well as some City of Boise money so they can house more people. How tired of scam calls are you? Well, Idaho Attorney General Labrador has joined a lawsuit against an Arizona company that made billions of illegal robo scam calls to people on the no call list. Over the weekend Hayburn Police shot and killed two dogs that were on I-84 after the dogs wouldn't respond to calls and they failed to catch them. There is a local mom who has been receiving rental assistance from a federal program that is about to end. Nate Shelman took the last hour of his show to further ask for genuine advice. If we want people to quit relying on the government, how can they become more self reliant? (5/30/23)

There is a federal assistance rent program that is about to end. This program has helped several people in Ada County including a single mom of two kids. According to the Statesman, this mom makes $15 an hour and is currently renting an apartment that costs $1,700 a month. There is a new fund that has been set up in Idaho to help cover costs for minors who want to cross state lines to receive transgender medical care. Nate Shelman asks: Does Idaho need a law, similar to the one we have about abortions, that would prohibit transporting a minor across state lines for transgender care without parental permission? A few states, including Iowa, are considering laws that would ease up on child labor laws to help fill jobs. Do you think we should loosen up on child labor laws? Do you think children should be able to work in bars or with hazardous chemicals? Nate Shelman wrapped up the show with the court of public opinion.
