It's Halloween again and this year the Coldbros came to discuss what they felt was arguably the best horror movie of 2025. Weapons. The movie stars Julia Garner, Josh Brolin, Benedict Wong, and Amy Madigan in a thrilling tale that starts with teacher Justine Gandy (Garner) walking into her classroom and none of her students are there. They have disappeared. What follows is a story of dread, horror, gore, and an overbearing tense feeling that doesn't really go away. Troy, Chris, Reese, and Jake discuss the movie and the story they were wanting to tell. We compare other movies who made similar filmmaking decisions and why they worked - or why they didn't. We discussed the possibility of a sequel or even a prequel and whether they should continue or just leave this one be. Only time will tell. We'll get into why franchises and social media have taken over, and try to figure out who the last true movie stars are today. Grab an energy drink and listen in on the debate. The mission: re-watch Interstellar and give it a second chance. The crew: Jake and Scott, who swear this is one of the greatest sci-fi flicks of all time; Reese, who's got a few hot takes of his own; and Chris and Troy, who are convinced nothing can change their minds. We’re deep-diving into the mind-bending plot, praising the out-of-this-world visuals, and talking about that unbelievable Hans Zimmer score. But let's be real, we're also calling out the sound guy, because who approved a movie where you can't hear half the dialogue? Seriously, turn it down, Hans. Spoiler: We still can't figure out the Tesseract. History in Music Podcast Scott Troy Jake Chris Reese Want to find out how you can support the Coldbow Podcast? Follow the mome raths below. In this full-spoiler follow-up to our initial thoughts on Superman, the Coldbros—Troy, Jake, Chris, Scott, and Reese—finally say everything they weren’t allowed to say last time. Plot holes, power levels, pacing issues, parents… nothing is safe. The Coldbow Podcast liked the film overall - giving it an average of 4.14 stars out of 5. It even impressed Chris, and Chris hates everything that isn't anime. Was James Gunn’s first shot at rebuilding the DCU actually solid, or are we just too relieved it wasn’t total trash? Did Corenswet bring something fresh to Clark Kent, or is he just hot and tall? Is Lois Lane a decent character this time? This isn’t a hype session. It’s a breakdown—equal parts praise and petty. We loved some of it, disliked others, and one of us might’ve audibly moaned during a particular building collapsing scene (we’re not naming names). You’ve seen the movie. Now hear the unfiltered reactions from five guys who care way too much about comic book movies and definitely don’t agree on anything. Well, it happened. Troy finally got his wish. After years of shoehorning Superman into every unrelated episode, the Coldbros are giving the Man of Steel his moment. And not just one episode—a two-part deep dive into DC’s latest attempt to not screw it up. James Gunn, now overlord of the DCU, kicks off his reboot with Superman. David Corenswet dons the cape and trunks, Rachel Brosnahan nails Lois Lane, and Nicholas Hoult shows up bald and pissed. Controversy followed this movie like a bad case of herpes, but now that it's out… turns out, it doesn't suck. Mostly. Critics like it. Fans like it. So what did the Coldbros think? Is this film going to make our heads spin so fast you'd think Superman snapped our necks? Reese, Jake, Scott, Chris, and Troy come together to talk expectations, hype, and whether Superman’s back. It’s spoiler-free, loaded with hot takes, personal attacks, and the kind of chaotic group chat energy you wish you could mute. Spoiler episode coming really soon. Try to keep your trunks on. From 28 Years Later and F1 to Jurassic World, Superman, and Fantastic 4, the guys break down what they’re excited about — and what looks like a total mess. Scott, Reese, and Chris discuss their homework from the last episode where they assigned great action movies/TV shows. On this episode the ColdBros pontificate on "what an action movie really is". They dive deep into their assignments of watching The Raid Redemption, and The Raid 2, The Terminal List, and RRR. Reese absolutely hated one of these assignments.... And Chris actually liked them!
