Ken Paxton, the attorney general of texas who was brought up on 16 articles of impeachment, is now investigating left leaning organizations for fraud - they just so happen to be the organizations that covered ken Paxton’s impeachment and his political allies. This is wild. Senator Tommy Tuberville has been making waves recently - he says white nationalism isnt racism, and he’s decided to hold up military promotions for some trumped up reason. But that’s kind of strange timing, isn’t it? Right when an election is around the corner, trump has an opportunity to take political control again, and a senator is leaving the top military commander positions open by force, and against the wishes of everybody else. Military promotions must be unanimous, and he’s the only senator voting against it. Let’s talk about it. The johnson amendment is a legal protection in US tax code that prevents nonprofit organizations from explicitly offering words of endorsement or opposition toward political candidates. They arent abolished as a nonprofit if they do, they just have to start paying their fair share. Unfortunately, the IRS hasn’t been pursuing those cases, so the evangelical movement in the US is brazen about breaking it. They dont even care anymore.
