27-year-old Karina Castro was a single mother of two living in San Carlos, CA. She was in the process of looking for a new apartment following an ugly breakup with her estranged boyfriend, 33-year old rapper, Jose “Rafa” Solano Landaeta. According to Karina’s family, she was excited to get away from Jose and start a new life with her girls. However, just before noon on September 8th, 2022, Karina was stripped of any opportunities the future might bring, when onlookers witnessed a 300+ lb. man approach her outside of her home, wielding a massive samurai sword… Written by Michael Dunphy Jr., Executive Produced by Michael Ojibway. +219 // Jack in the Box
2024/02/23
When a 911 dispatcher received a call from a blueberry farmer in May of 2002 - he reported discovering a horrific crime scene in the woods that bordered his land. Police arrived at the farm located just miles from the shores of Lake Michigan, and ruled the unrecognizably charred human remains the victim of an apparent homicide. With few clues, the case went cold until 2015, when an anonymous tipster contacted the primary detective working the case. The caller had watched a short student-film entitled, “Jack in the Box,” made in 2005 about the unidentified John Doe murder. After viewing the documentary film, the tipster believed they not only knew who the victim was… but also the identity of the suspects… Written by Nellie Poe., Executive Produced by Michael Ojibway. No Body, No Crime

On May 23rd, 2014, social butterfly Nichole “Nikki” Burgess stopped replying to calls and texts. It was so unlike her, that her friends and boyfriend immediately grew concerned and reported her missing. When police searched her home, they found signs of a struggle – but no indication of what had actually happened to the aspiring Instagram model. And while they found abundant circumstantial evidence pointing at a possible homicide culprit, investigators’ greatest challenge may have been proving that Nikki was even dead…  Written by Angela Jorgensen, Executive Produced by Michael Ojibway. Leon Williams believed he had a “void” in his life – a void that could be filled if he adopted and raised a special needs child. But when his son Kentae came into his life, Leon didn’t find purpose or meaning. Instead, their tragic story ended in murder and a systemic failure that shined a spotlight on the shortcomings within a broken foster care system… Written by Angela Jorgensen, Executive Produced by Michael Ojibway. The Prep
2024/02/05
Fairfield, Iowa is home to just over 9,000 residents. It’s a place that feels more like a small town than a city. There’s a sense of community here, which was a main draw for Nohema Graber and her husband Paul when they decided to move to the Midwest and start a family. Nohema was born and raised in Mexico, and after settling down in Fairfield, she decided to make a career change in her fifties- eventually taking a position teaching Spanish at Fairfield High School. In 2020, Mrs. Graber was introduced to Willard Noble Chaiden Miller- a freshman student who’d just transferred from a local private school. But when Mrs. Graber was reported missing after failing to show up to work on November 3, 2021- investigators quickly learned that Willard Miller had a long lasting grudge toward his Spanish teacher, after Mrs. Graber gave him a bad grade… Written by Michael Dunphy Jr., Executive Produced by Michael Ojibway. +216 // Missing Morgan
2024/02/03
In February of 2016, a 19-year-old Morgan Bauer left her quiet city of Aberdeen, South Dakota for a more lively scene, down south. She caught a one way flight to Atlanta with plans to live with a man she’d met online in exchange for household chores. But when she was asked to leave and never come back for unknown reasons, Morgan eventually stopped answering her texts, calls, and direct messages, online. In a cold case that shook the state of Georgia and beyond, answers to Morgan Bauer’s disappearance wouldn’t come until roughly 7 years later in 2023, when investigators literally dug up what they called “items of evidentiary value” in the backyard of a Porterdale, GA home… Written by Michael Dunphy Jr., Executive Produced by Michael Ojibway. On November 7th, 2023 a group of day laborers arrived at a multi-million dollar home in Tarzana, CA. They’d been hired by the homeowner to remove several large trash bags containing what the man claimed were rocks and, “Halloween props.” But after struggling to lift the heavy bags to their truck, the workers knew immediately that something was wrong. After their suspicions got the best of them, the men carefully peeled back…only to discover what appeared to be the severed midsection of a human torso… Written by Michael Dunphy Jr., Executive Produced by Michael Ojibway. +214 // Ding Dong Ditch
2024/01/18
On the night of January 19th, 2020, a group of 6 teenagers were hanging out at 16-year-old Daniel Hawkins’ house in Corona, California- about a 45 minute drive, southeast of L.A.. Jacob Ivascu had just turned 16 as well- just a few days before, and the tight knit crew had gotten together to celebrate. When 10:00 PM came around that evening, the 6 teens eventually dared one of the boys to a game of ding dong ditch…but what they could have never known was that the man inside the home they picked at random was 42-year-old Anurag Chandra - an angry and abusive drunk who wasn’t the type to let a simple prank slide… Written by Michael Dunphy Jr., Executive Produced by Michael Ojibway. When 48-year-old Floyd East Jr., a Texas Tech University police officer, responded to a disturbance call at the Talkington Residence Hall on October 9th, 2017- he couldn’t immediately locate the suspect. But while conducting a search, authorities did find a small pharmacy of illegal controlled substances inside of a dorm room. When 19-year-old college sophomore Hollis Daniels arrived back at his quad-style suite hours later, police conveniently met him at the door. He was patted down and carefully searched, however, by some bizarre circumstance, officers missed the one thing that would have prevented a campus tragedy just hours later…    Written by Michael Dunphy Jr., Executive Produced by Michael Ojibway. +213 // Siberian Mouse
2023/12/29
During the week of May 13, 2019, federal agents began kicking in the doors of some of Vermont’s worst sex offenders during an 8 person takedown. “Operation Bada’ Bing” successfully led to the arrest of a group of men who possessed child sexually exploitative material on their computers. One of those individuals was 35-year-old Sean Fiore of Burlington, Vermont. However, to the complete shock and utter disgust of investigators working the case, the digital evidence which led authorities to Sean Fiore’s home was just the tip of the iceberg…and a forensic extraction of his digital devices would ultimately reveal a horrific international murder-for-hire plot… Written by Michael Dunphy Jr., Executive Produced by Michael Ojibway.
